Schloss Reinach (Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Wurttemberg) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Named for a castle that was destroyed in the 17th century, Schloss Reinach has plenty of history to draw on — but after multipel rounds of renovation and reinvention it’s expanded from a manor house into a modern 98-room luxury hotel. The accommodations are clean-lined and contemporary, and comforts throughout are first-rate, including the expansive spa and wellness center. Schloss Reinach’s culinary offerings are extensive as well, from regional fare to a wine bar with Italian dishes." - Tablet Hotels

We have stayed here countless of times. We are often in Freiburg and though this hotel is a 15-min drive to Freiburg center, we still like coming back here. The spa and the heated pool are our favorites. Depending on the room choice, it can be really spacious and modern. The standard rooms however are very small with a tiny shower. Plenty of free parking around the hotel and the restaurant serves some decent meals.|Breakfast here has a few good choices, though warm food could be more. Considering its price however, i must say it‘s expensive for that what this hotel offers. It gets crowded pretty quickly too at the spa because it‘s small. |One thing i particularly wish for from this hotel would be more attention to detail. More personal touch. We have often booked as a family and always with an extra bed for a child but every time we arrive, we always have to ask for the extra towel, a child‘s bathrobe and slippers. They were never there even if we mentioned it in the booking and paid for an extra bed for a child.

Spent 2 nights at the hotel. |First the positive:||Clean and beautiful |Great heated pool|AMAZING staff - nothing less!!|Nice sauna|Gym OK|Good parking - even with a bit of EV charging |Tried 2 of the 3 restaurants- good quality |The morning buffet also very complete. |Located in a small town 12 km away |from center of Freiburg. ||Where there is positive there is also a bit of negative. ||Our own mistake not to go do an adult only hotel. |A few families with smaller kids seemed perfectly fine with their kids making a terrible noise at the pool areas where you want to relax with spa etc. Not nice. ||If you can accept not behaved kids everything else is great. |The hotel would get much better rating if a min age would be introduced||Bo Harbeck

What a beautiful place to spend a few relaxing days, get pampered and enjoy great food. We just had the best time there and left totally relaxed. The pool and spa area are fabulous and the staff are very friendly. I can only highly recommend it.

This hotel has a beautiful setting with a nice outdoor pool. The rooms are well maintained but have the appearance of 15 - 20 years old. The lighting is very poor and the bathrooms dated. The air-conditioning is not effective. There are several restaurants on site - we found the regional restaurant was expensive and was the only option on a Sunday evening. Breakfast ran until 10:30, but the choice became increasingly limited after 9:00 and was not refilled.

I have never stayed at a spa hotel before and this hotel did not disappoint! I would say one of the best hotels in my life Let's do the good and bad Good Huge hotel Very fancy, they have a women everyday that fixes all the like dead flower pieces it is honestly beautiful The free breakfast is one of the best i ever had, so many options and they have a huge nutella machine it was so COOL the room is big, clean and new Very comfortable bed and comforter The toilet was very clean and i liked how hot the towel rack got The shower was great I like that there was a very big cabinet to put all my stuff in A big fridge in the room Included robe and shoes The receptionists are very kind I forgot my purse at breakfast and i quickly went back and someone already turned it in and that was so nice The spa area is huge and really relaxing I liked the pool the best with the jets it was awesome Bad Far from the city centre Far from restaurants Far from the train station Not hot tub Even with the bad, but the hotel itself was AMAZING

The hotel has a wonderful setting, with excellent restaurant and a superb breakfast. The waiting staff are lovely and friendly. However we were most disappointed with our small and quite stuffy room, situated on the ground floor overlooking a busy and quite noisy road where we needed to have the window open to get any air. I was doubly disappointed as we had stayed in a room on the same floor in February, which was similarly unappealing, and my husband who had been previously to vet the hotel rooms, assured me that on your return we were likely to have a better room. I would encourage anyone booking to make sure that they are not in the ground floor (odd number) rooms

Ok, two things here. The crossover restaurant has great food and service. However, the hotel is ridiculously expensive for the value. Furthermore, our bed was way too soft, in the evening dogs of a neighbor were barking for 2 hours and the lady at the reception didn't do anything about it, and the next morning the cleaning lady walked into the room despite the do-not-disturb sign. Needless to say I'm not planning to come back quickly again.
