Schloss St. Emmeram, Thurn und Taxis

LONG tour (90min) in German only and they are weird about taking photos. There are only a couple of German tours daily so plan ahead. The tour provides pretty basic audio guides in English. It IS odd to an American to keep hearing about German princes and princesses in the present tense, as well as 'princely' this and that. The old town bus does not loop even remotely close by, for unknown reasons. Once you're on the tour you're stuck for the duration. (I'm not much of a tour person). The tour areas inside are not air conditioned. Regensburg old town is fairly small but expect a full day of walking to and from everything.

Palace was much larger than I had anticipated and much more grand than I thought. Beautiful polished marble columns, statues and mosaic floors. Even though the tour is only in German, they provided my wife and I audio guides so that we could follow along and learn the history of the palace and the family that is still living there.

What a magical Christmas market! We received discount admission vouchers from our hotel, shout out to Hotel Das Regensburg😉(and it was a very short walk). There are so many beautiful lights at night. Many food and gluwien options. Great handmade items for sale as well. Definitely worth the admission price. Don't miss this one!

Very charming place, we have been to a concert of Christ de Burgh and it was an amazing experience.

It is a very beautiful places inside. Very well maintenance and friendly staffs. It takes around 90 mins for the tour. Our time was at 16.30 pm

dated to the 19th century, a very strict guided tour allows you to see a part of the castle and Monastery. the tour costs 16€, in german and with audio guide for english speakers. the guide is very friendly and gives a lot of infos. you pass from the dinnerroom to fiesta hall to sleeping room to the chapel and then you take the stairs down to the monastery hallways with gothis arcades until the Court church. very impressive, dont forget to buy the guiding book since photography is not allowed.

A brilliant guided tour of the castle, unfortunately you can not take photos inside. Our guide was excellent, her English perfect. We were also incredibly lucky to be able to use the stables venue for a party, it's only permitted to be used twice a year!!

The Audio tour had limited information and cost 17e pp. The live tour was much more interactive with the tour guide. The church was magnificent and the music director/organists was fantastic!
