A fantastic Christmas market. Full of atmosphere and the best stalls. Everything from blank cooked salmon over an open fire to open fire roasted ham and beef. And unique craft stalls. Never miss this market if you are in regansberg

LONG tour (90min) in German only and they are weird about taking photos. There are only a couple of German tours daily so plan ahead. The tour provides pretty basic audio guides in English. It IS odd to an American to keep hearing about German princes and princesses in the present tense, as well as 'princely' this and that. The old town bus does not loop even remotely close by, for unknown reasons. Once you're on the tour you're stuck for the duration. (I'm not much of a tour person). The tour areas inside are not air conditioned. Regensburg old town is fairly small but expect a full day of walking to and from everything.

What a magical Christmas market! We received discount admission vouchers from our hotel, shout out to Hotel Das Regensburg😉(and it was a very short walk). There are so many beautiful lights at night. Many food and gluwien options. Great handmade items for sale as well. Definitely worth the admission price. Don't miss this one!

Really good christmas market but not our favorite. Was more pricey than others. Great food and drink vendors. Couldn't find a Regensberg hand painted glass bulb ornament so that was a bummer. Parking is super close and convenient.

Palace was much larger than I had anticipated and much more grand than I thought. Beautiful polished marble columns, statues and mosaic floors. Even though the tour is only in German, they provided my wife and I audio guides so that we could follow along and learn the history of the palace and the family that is still living there.

We visited Regensburg for a day trip from Nuremberg. We stopped here first only to find the only way to see the palace was a guided tour. So we booked the guided tour 17euro. The palace was very interesting having some modern elements mixed with its history which made it unique. No photos allowed as it's a private property still being used. The guided tour in english was a bit disappointing, the audio guide itself was actually fine it was more frustrating that there was a guide speaking German the whole time that we had to follow and he would speak much longer than our audio guide or skip sections where we did have an audio section but all in all a lot of waiting around for the English speakers. Also the guide did speak English but did not say a single word in english during the tour. Would have been nice at the start to just say a sentence in english for us to start the audio guide and when we entered a room what audio number as honestly it seemed overbooked so can be difficult to find the number past everyone. There is Xmas markets that you can visit in the palace which cost about 14 euro to enter. Which seemed a bit crazy to us as just an entry fee so we walked out. I liked seeing the palace and learning a bit of history but to me it just seemed like money grabbing.

Very charming place, we have been to a concert of Christ de Burgh and it was an amazing experience.

Tour a functioning palace! We enjoyed the tour, though for English they give you a headset with recordings for most rooms. The guide spoke only in German to other guests, but would answer our questions when we asked. Can't take photos, but if you appreciate art, history, and want a peek at a unique home, I'd recommend it.

Visited their Christmas market while touring the grounds of the palace and gift shop. Unfortunately the tours are on German only and you're required to have a guided tour so we missed out on that. The Christmas market was also the only one we had to pay to get into in the dozens of markets we visited. This was my favorite market though. The decor, the quieter pace, they have cabins on site you can rent, vendors on site. The place was absolutely magical and a must see while in Germany.

We visited this church today and the interior is *gorgeous*, with stunning baroque details and artwork. We also visited a small but very interesting museum which is located across the courtyard (4.5 euros for adults).
