I had a wonderful 4-night stay in December at the Schlossberghotel.|I had the quickest checkin (i.e., just provided my passport and was given my room key), which was a small but welcome surprise after a long day of travelling. The staff and service were excellent. I had questions prior to my stay and they were promptly answered.|If you like to walk, the hotel is ~20 from the Hbf. Just take the Annenstraße, which will take you most of the way. A tram also covers the same route.|In terms of the hotel, it is unique in terms of its style and ambiance based on my travels and as others have described. A welcome change of pace from "corporate" hotels. |If you decide to stay, I would recommend that you book the breakfast as part of your reservation. I found it to be of value. And they have a range of breakfast offerings (e.g., buffet and/or ordering from a breakfast menu).|My room overlooked the street but the sound of traffic was unnoticed. My room was a "Double Superior" room and it was great. Could not have been happier with it. |And the location of the hotel is central to most of the usual attractions to those visiting Graz. It is situated at the base of the Schlossberg and you can either take the funicular or the elevator, which are a 5 m walk from the hotel, or you can walk up the mountain. I took that elevator and walked down the mountain. OT: "Walking" the mountain provides you better perspectives than just taking either the funicular and/or the elevator.|Finally, "Thank you!" to the team at the Schlossberghotel.
