Schlosshotel Mondsee

So, after one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at, I can write a review. I contacted them direct to make the booking and was replied to by the Receptionist Edda, who from the first email made me fully aware of everything before committing to book, which was very reassuring :-) super friendly and professional in every correspondence. When we were checking in, we were met on reception by Jana, who was super and again very professional. The actual hotel is very nice with underground parking with lifts direct to the hotel. The room was clean and it suited us very well. Breakfast was good with a wide selection and free Prosecco 😋 👌 there is also free mineral water on the first floor, but you will need some glass bottles from reception. Also, a must is the Benadick restaurant, which is through the courtyard. Again, everybody is professional and in good spirits, especially our waiter, Felix, who went above and beyond to make our visits the most enjoyable. Will definitely be returning to the hotel and this beautiful little Austrian town. Excellent in every way

Beautiful hotel with rich history and stunning architecture. The spa is fantastic—small but well-designed, efficient, and very relaxing. The food was good quality and lived up to expectations. However, breakfast could use some quality control. I noticed mold on the grapes and the Parmesan cheese, and some dishes from the dinner buffet seemed to be reused in the morning, like the ham and melon, which didn’t look fresh. The restaurant staff were friendly despite being seemingly a bit stressed. Loved the attention to detail, much love towards Mondsee and its guests - the receptionist was exceptionally friendly, and the check-in/out process was smooth. Overall, it was an unforgettable stay. Welcomed by carefully groomed gardens. Nice and clean, inviting, with pleasantly designed rooms. Great spa with sauna, refreshing pool and a cozy quiet room. Good on-premise restaurant - Benediktus (one of two), with wide wine selection and very attentive service. One of those places you want to stay longer, or definitely come back to.

Wow. Looked amazing online, but even better in person. Wonderful old building. Beautiful setting. Incredibly friendly helpful staff. Free bike and Twizzy hire. So close to amazing lake and walks. Wish we stayed longer

A really nice castle style hotel, everything arranged in details. We got a standard double room and it was very spacious ( 2 toilets in the room, upstairs and downstairs) Breakfast options could be improved , and also the bed, because was a bit hard.

Had such a fantastic stay at this gorgeous hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The spa was quiet and well-maintained. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal. We ate dinner in the restaurant one night - highly recommend for a delicious meal with exceptional service. The location is also excellent - we were able to easily walk downtown and stroll along the water. We hope to return someday!

Fine hotel in an old abbey… I was there for a week. The two restaurants were great and I ate their 3x … schnitzel, pasta and a burger on three different occasions plus breakfast every day which was excellent and well worth it. The rooms were large, included a mini bar fridge, cleaned every day, bed was comfortable and mine had a second floor with a desk. I was there for work so it came in handy. Only issue was trying to work some of the heating racks for clothes in the bathroom… no instructions :(. Service was efficient and friendly… English no problem as my German is limited. A beautiful part of Austria if you get a chance to see it… lakes and rolling hills, great food, beautiful architecture and friendly people. What more could you ask for. All in all a great place in a historic building made for a very pleasant and memorable stay.

Loved this place. Historic place, beautifully renovated. Large Interconnected rooms. Helpful staff. Secure garage for bikes. Perfect for our short stay. |Would recommend for families in particular and cyclists. Good stop off or base for exploring.

Awesome hotel in the heart of Salzburg! Amazing pool, rooms, wifi, and plenty of room for 4 adults and a dog if you choose! Two floors for €150 a room! Great deal! Classical music right outside and a amazing restaurant as part of the grounds near the garden. I'd come back.

This hotel is 5 star in every way shape and form. I was fortunate enough to have stayed here on a 10 day long business trip back in July. This was my favorite stint during our trip just because of this town. It is the quintessential European village on the outskirts of Salzburg. This Hotel really takes things to another level. the rooms are two story suites with a giant spiral staircase connecting the two rooms. My room overlooked the center courtyard which was beautiful. The restaurants on site are also excellent. The one night they set up a table out on the lawn and served us a six course dinner. It was amazing! The only thing that i was not impressed with was the fact that not all of the rooms are air conditioned. Our stay was at the ind of July and it was in the high eighties and my room was an oven at night. The bedroom was located upstairs and kept in the heat form the day. I asked at the front desk if they had a fan and they gave me the only fan in the whole hotel which was at the front desk with out hesitation. Very thoughtful. I can't wait to take my wife here when we make it to Europe!!
