Schlosshotel Monrepos

The Hotel is nicely located near that castle and close to the lake. My room was spacious and clean. My only and major criticism is that the walls seem to be paper-thin. Myself as well as several of my colleagues slept rather bad because the noise level was high.

Great hotel. Easy parking, staff very friendly and helpful. Set in parklands so was great for walking. Unfortunately lots of road works in the area so very busy traffic. Room was lovely, very clean with a fab shower. Hotel bar was good but bar staff could have been better.

Huge rooms, comfy beds, and thr AC works great! Highly recommend!

The hotel offers a nice view and atmosphere. However, they do not inform you of any ongoing events such as wedding celebrations. They also allocate rooms of guests attending such a celebration next to regular hotel guests which leads to being woken up at 1 am by drunk people returning from the party. Since it is not a rare occurrence for these events to take place (especially in the spring and summer), it can be expected that the hotel management has the courtesy to inform their guests of an ongoing event and should exhibit the ability to allocate quiet rooms to the guests that are not part of such an event. This should happen without the guests having to request such an action.

We booked here in order to visit the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart and the Residenceschloss Ludwigsburg. It’s very conveniently located for both in a quiet area of the Monrepos Park. Our superior room was spacious with modern bathroom (shower only), comfortable beds, a balcony and a seating area. My only criticism was lack of air-conditioning, but in fact, the room did cool down at night and was equipped with a tower fan. The Reception team were very helpful, speaking excellent English and offering to book us into their fine-dining restaurant Gutsschenke, a hundred of metres or so from the hotel. |We ate in their bistro too, and had very good service and large portions. |Would definitely return.

Luxurious ambient, spacious rooms, modern arrangement, friendly staff. Very good breakfast with a lot of variety. Really quiet area. Cons: I found no AC in the room (might be a problem in the summer). Parking spaces pretty narrow, parking place crowded. A noise from the Autobahn can be heard with open windows.

Stayed here on 2 separate nights for an event. The hotel rooms are reasonably appointed. The restaurant and bar are very good. We had breakfast outside both mornings in a wonderful area. The breakfast selection and service were both very good.||We had a great evening in the bar restaurant on our last night of the event with members of our group pulling tables and chairs together as more and more of our party joined to talk after the event. The food and drinks were quite good, and fairly priced, and unlike many hotels, the bar did not mind as we pulled tables together. This made the evening quite fun.||The hotel is not air conditioned, and since it was quite warm both times we stayed, air conditioning would have been very nice. However, the hotel provided fans in the room which helped. ||We strolled the lovely grounds, enjoying idyllic views over the small lake. We did not play golf, though there is a course quite near to the hotel. Overall a nice couple of nights.
