Lovely experience and ambiance. It's a must if you're in Basel. For me, this was the best thing in Basel. Lucianne (Lulu) was amazing. The food was exquisite. We will be back just to nosh.

Wonderful dining experience in a historical setting, yet the restaurant didn't lose its touch on modernizing itself. From the manager to waiters/waitresses, everyone was courteous and kind. The main dishes here today are the white asparagus soup and beef fillet with potatoes. The meal ended with two pieces of sweets, which are not too sweet and on point!

We had a delightful lunch at this restaurant, and we truly appreciated the attentive staff. The wine selection by the glass was outstanding; we chose Swiss Pinot Noir and German Chardonnay. The superb bread served with olive oil enhanced our dining experience. The interior of the restaurant provides an immersive and stunning setting, especially with seating under a glass roof and the captivating wall painting, adding to the overall great dining experience.

Great quality food! We ordered their set menu and they came with different degrees of flavor and strength. They have menu for vegetarians or pescetarians as well! I went there three times on special occasions especially with friends and families when they have their birthdays. The staff were very friendly and made sure to chat with us. Great Swiss hospitality indeed! 😍 😍 😍

A food adventure! I loved it all. Very interesting and amazingly beautiful. If you like everything and are willing to try something new, then this is your place. Everything was incredible. I’m not a picky eater but desire excellence and they delivered. It was extraordinary! The only odd thing is that they have the ingredients to craft traditional cocktails but don’t seem to know how to make an Old Fashioned and other bar standards. I thought something might be lost in translation.

We went there to have one or two glasses of wine before dinner. They had a good selection of wine. The waitress behind the counter was very cheerful and friendly. Therefore we ended up having a little more wine and some tapas. The tapas were reasonably priced and just the right food with the wine.

Took the business lunch option. My husband had the beef steak which was extremely tender and yum.
The tiny appetizer (salmon with beets) was special. I also like the small sweets at the end.

TERRIBLE. If you are traveling don’t even bother coming here. We came here for lunch and it was a disaster from start to finish. First, we asked for still water and got sparkling water instead. Then, we never received a menu while others around us did, along with bread and their food and they got seated 15 minutes AFTER us. We waited for 30 minutes without a menu. We decided to leave after waiting forever and were charged $9 just for the sparkling water we didn’t even want. This place doesn’t even deserve one star. Don’t waste your time here.
