Schneiders Weinstube im Badener Weinkeller

Traditional quality food without being boring or too rich/creamy/heavy - that's not easy to find and we were delighted with this local recommendation which is a bit hidden from the main promenades of Baden-Baden. We made a last minute reservation for an early table and got full attention and very warm service - althought they were only starting their evening. We were there with an international small group with very different interests and they were also able to communicate with our oversea guests. All dishes were excellent - from the fish pate to the soup, the traditional Maultauschen or the special baby chicken. I was too busy enjoying that I did not even document all plates :-)

Excellent restaurant with a rich menu with many options. The prices are fair and the wine menu is good. Also the wines are fairly priced. The lovely couple running the show made our evening delightful. We will definitely be back!

We discovered by luck this hidden gem in Baden-Baden! We enjoyed one of the finest dinners we had in Germany. The owners and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, and immediately we felt like being home with friends! The restaurant was well decorated,minimal style, with a traditional local atmosphere! We tried the fish-soup(excellent taste,with small pieces of fresh fish and shrimps)! The duck, which was perfectly cooked and soft, and the veal cheeks(defenetly the best veal cheeks we have EVER tried)! Mr Schneider recommended a very good french wine which matched perfectly with our dinner! This restaurant was the best one in Baden-baden and we will defenetly visit it again! Thank you!

Lovely place tucked away from the main street. The owner gave us a warm welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed and cosy. They have a good selection of local wines and liqueurs. The food was also really good. We were a party of 6 adults and all the comments were good. Shame we didn't stay for the desert. If we come back to Baden-Baden, we definitely will come back here.

A wonderful dining experience in the heart of Baden-Baden. We just wandered in off the street, but were warmly welcomed and made to feel very special. The staff were so kind and helpful in explaining the menu and suggesting wines to suit our tastes. We ended up choosing the Entrecôte Double which was absolutely superb and beautifully served. Such attentive staff, warm hospitality and delicious meal. Treat yourself to a meal and wine at Schneider’s Weinstube when in Baden-Baden.

A little on the pricier side for standard traditional food. The detail observed and helpfulness of the staff is great. The cozy place and warm interior is inviting. The food was good, we had the schnitzel and beef goulash. Each was prepared nicely just needed a little more seasoning. The beef consume and salad were nice starters. The beef consume was the best part of the meal. All in all a decent place.

It was my first meal in Baden Baden. Fantastic experience. Food was divine, service was excellent and the wine list is impressive. Highly recommended!!!

It was big mistake to visit this place. From the beginning looks good everything. Old Gentleman describes menu, gives recommendations and we follow it, but afterwards awful service started. We order fish soup and chicken (it was recommended). As soon as we got soup and canard a lot of fly attacks our table (pls see photo) at least more than 30 pieces, we ask staff what is going on and reply was - Oh, probably it is fish soup….ok we are sitting outside but it is not a case for place with gourmet position. After 1 hour waiting time and our relocation inside we have learned that only 2 chicken available instead of 3 we have ordered….
