Schneiders Weinstube im Badener Weinkeller

Stopped in at 10:15 PM for drinks but was told they were closed, even though the hours online said otherwise and several guests were still drinking. I understand European hospitality norms are different and service tends to be more direct, but in this case it felt like the server simply didn’t want to help, which was disappointing. Management should consider updating posted hours and ensuring staff interactions reflect the hospitality guests expect.

Traditional quality food without being boring or too rich/creamy/heavy - that's not easy to find and we were delighted with this local recommendation which is a bit hidden from the main promenades of Baden-Baden. We made a last minute reservation for an early table and got full attention and very warm service - althought they were only starting their evening. We were there with an international small group with very different interests and they were also able to communicate with our oversea guests. All dishes were excellent - from the fish pate to the soup, the traditional Maultauschen or the special baby chicken. I was too busy enjoying that I did not even document all plates :-)

Lovely place tucked away from the main street. The owner gave us a warm welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed and cosy. They have a good selection of local wines and liqueurs. The food was also really good. We were a party of 6 adults and all the comments were good. Shame we didn't stay for the desert. If we come back to Baden-Baden, we definitely will come back here.

We visited on accident as we were visited for the first time. Now... I must admit it was a pretty happy accident as upon arriving we were warmly greeted by the owners (an amazing gentleman and his wonderful wife) in the most welcoming manner, something that lacks in today's world. The food that we got was excellent both in taste and portion sizes and the service exquisite. An absolute hidden gem (at least no one told us about it) and must-visit in Baden Baden.

A wonderful dining experience in the heart of Baden-Baden. We just wandered in off the street, but were warmly welcomed and made to feel very special. The staff were so kind and helpful in explaining the menu and suggesting wines to suit our tastes. We ended up choosing the Entrecôte Double which was absolutely superb and beautifully served. Such attentive staff, warm hospitality and delicious meal. Treat yourself to a meal and wine at Schneider’s Weinstube when in Baden-Baden.

Excellent restaurant with a rich menu with many options. The prices are fair and the wine menu is good. Also the wines are fairly priced. The lovely couple running the show made our evening delightful. We will definitely be back!

A little on the pricier side for standard traditional food. The detail observed and helpfulness of the staff is great. The cozy place and warm interior is inviting. The food was good, we had the schnitzel and beef goulash. Each was prepared nicely just needed a little more seasoning. The beef consume and salad were nice starters. The beef consume was the best part of the meal. All in all a decent place.

It was my first meal in Baden Baden. Fantastic experience. Food was divine, service was excellent and the wine list is impressive. Highly recommended!!!
