Scholars Townhouse Hotel

A group of five of us stayed here for a night in June when we visited New Grange and had a great experience. The rooms were compact but clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Both dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations—really tasty and good quality. What truly made our stay memorable was the staff. They were incredibly welcoming and friendly, going out of their way to ensure we had a great night. Their hospitality really stood out. Highly recommend!

Everything was just beautiful. The beds were so comfortable and the room was so quiet. Dinner and breakfast was so tasty and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely stay again. Thank you so much.

Just to be very open and honest. The room's are tiny. The smallest room I have ever stayed in. If you can cope with it The rest was very good. Great Sunday lunch. Well worth the money Short walk into town. Very nicely located. Staff excellent. Nothing was too much trouble . Always smiling and pleasant. Breakfast was good Cooked fresh and hot to order

4th time staying here, always fantastic food, especially the cauliflower wings. Rooms are always clean , smell nice and love that you get two bottles of water. A nice recent addition to offer complimentary coffee from the bar to be delivered to your room. Thank you for a good stay again, see you again soon

We had our wedding meal July 31st at Scholars Townhouse in a private room with 19 guests, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere was intimate and special, the staff were so friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious – everyone was so impressed. A very special mention must go to Aisling, who organised the entire day for us. She was incredible – always contactable, so accommodating, and nothing was ever too much hassle. She had a plan B ready for every eventuality, which made everything completely seamless and stress-free. Thanks to her, our day ran perfectly, and we could just relax and enjoy it. She is truly a credit to Scholars. We couldn’t recommend Scholars Townhouse highly enough for a wedding or special occasion – it exceeded all our expectations.

Friendly and comfortable hotel with a lovely building and frescoed ceilings! Food good and rooms comfortable. No in room drink making but called down for early morning tea that was delivered as part of the service with no extra charge

Really enjoyed our stay in this authentic hotel. Young staff are so attentive and professional its hard to believe until you experience it. Food and pints of Guinness are 10/10. A tremendous 👏.. Will be back

Lovely, quaint hotel. Loved our 4 poster bed. Breakfast was lovely and staff very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend a stay here. Parking was great also.

This was a lovely small, privately owned hotel in town. It has a private car park, restaurant and lounge, breakfast area, and small lobby. The hotel is historical in appearance but has had all the necessary upgrades to make it modern. The staff here is really friendly and that made the stay really nice. Our room was quite small but highly functional. We would definitely return here.

Food was very good. Very good value for the Sunday special and a little bit pricey for the normal menu. Very nice building and dining room. Staff were professional, courteous and very accommodating when we had a late addition to our party. I'm taking one star off as my brother who has dined here a bunch of times claims that some menu items can be a bit inconsistent. My meal was totally fine. Overall a very enjoyable experience and I hope to go back soon.

A hidden gem. fantastic food and service. Great staff. Nicest hotel and restaurant in drogheda. I eat out allot and this is a top spot.
