The Schoodic Peninsula is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the quieter, less crowded side of Acadia National Park. This beautiful area offers breathtaking coastal views, rugged shorelines, and scenic vistas that are perfect for photography or just taking in the natural beauty. 🌊📸 The peninsula is home to several great hiking trails, ranging from easy walks to more challenging routes. The Schoodic Head Trail provides fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding islands and the ocean. There are also plenty of peaceful spots to stop and enjoy the scenery, making it a great place for a relaxing day outdoors. 🌲🌅 Highly recommend visiting Schoodic Peninsula for a peaceful and scenic escape in Acadia National Park!

This was our favorite part of Acadia National Park. The pictures are from the East Trail, our favorite. Parking is tough, because there is room for only 4 cars across from the trailhead and it's a one-way road so you can't backtrack if those spots are full. We went in mid-October when the crowds were gone and most businesses had closed for the season. Be sure to visit the Schoodic Institute. It's a beautiful building and has an interesting history.

For me, this is the most magical part of Acadia. This is based on visiting at seven in the morning on a Saturday, noting that there were at most a half dozen cars that I saw in about a two hour period. Lots of varied terrain and solitude for contemplating life's meanings 🐦‍⬛

Great hiking trails and less busy/crowded compared to the main Acadia NP area. Definitely recommend checking out the sights here!

Beautiful place for a driving tour with pull outs to stop and take in the view. A few short hiking options. Uncrowded and quiet. Recommended in the late afternoon to sunset.

Love this area, the hiking was amazing, wild blueberries, moss on ground, rocks, trees, great views, nobody around.
