Schoodic Peninsula

Schoodic Peninsula is absolutely beautiful. It’s about an hour drive from the main park but definitely worth it. It has all the beautiful overlooks that the main park has but without the overwhelming crowds. There’s even a one way loop road. Schoodic Point is a perfect spot for a picnic lunch. There’s a huge expanse of large rocks that are fairly easy to walk along so there’s plenty of room for everyone and fantastic views of the ocean.

My first experience with the NE seaboard. It was amazing. As much as I want to visit new national parks, I'm ready to go back here.

Absolutely beautiful here! It was our favorite in the Arcadia National Park! Went here several times during our stay in Winter Harbor!

Get away from the Bar Harbor crowds. Nice trails, but markings are somewhat tricky

My favorite place in Acadia. It was super foggy the day we were there, but still breathtaking to see the tide coming in and crashing on the rocks.

Fantastic views after a short hike. We were able to see a seal trying to get lobster out of some pots.

There are also plenty of peaceful spots to stop and enjoy the scenery, making it a great place for a relaxing day outdoors. 🌲🌅 Highly recommend visiting Schoodic Peninsula for a peaceful and scenic escape in Acadia National Park!
