Schoolhouse Hotel & GastroBar

We stayed in the school house when I went to a conference. Our delux room was a lovely size and very appropriately decorated given that this is an old building. There was a safe, robes, iron, ironing board teas coffee and proper climate control. The bathroom was small but beautifully decorated with a rain shower. The bar was buzzy and the staff friendly and service was excellent. We are in the bar and the food was delicious. It is well located to other restaurants and bars and st Stephen’s green. The lady at reception was particularly pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We had our wedding here, they made it so easy to organise, brilliant food and wonderful wine recommendations. Staff were so kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Really lovely hotel situated in a very nice area, by the Grand Canal. Lovely bedroom and shower room. Quiet, warm, clean, comfortable and spacious. Friendly staff. I really enjoyed my stay because of the quality of the environment. It was also easy to get to the venues I had booked to see.

What a fantastic place! My now wife and I stayed in The Schoolhouse for two nights, the night before our Civil Ceremony (the Registry Office is only 400m away) and also the day itself. We had lunch there for 20 people (3 hours)and they all said how impressed they were with everything from start to finish. The charm of place cannot be overstated, and has to be seen to be believed. The bedrooms are so comfortable and spotless, a five star experience. The food was as amazing as expected, but what truly made everything so memorable was the attitude of all the staff and the effort they put in to make our day perfect, and it was. So a big thank you to all the team there for making our special day truly memorable ❤️

Great place to stay, perfect for walking into City Centre, plus along the canal. Friendly people running everything, comfortable bedrooms ( a little over heated but can be adjusted). Good food, the oysters were the best we had in Dublin. Adequate breakfast. Would definitely come again.

Stayed here for only 2 nights, but wish it was for longer. It was during the Holiday season and the hotel was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. It feels so welcoming and inviting throughout the entire property. The staff was amazing and so kind! The room was beautiful, so clean, and the bed was so comfortable! I would highly recommend the Schoolhouse hotel!

Great location (a few mins to the center of Dublin), very good food at the bar, comfy, warm, clean rooms. Very nice and helpful staff. I'd definitely stay here again. The only thing we didn't like was that the "king bed" is two beds pushed together.

We were a large group on a busy Saturday, but they staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The food was excellent in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We changed our table number a few times in the week before and nothing was too much hassle. Really recommend.
