A Beautiful Experience – Exceptional Service and Atmosphere We recently hosted our civil ceremony dinner at the Schoolhouse and also arranged guest accommodation—and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional. The dinner was beautifully set up, the food was delicious and received so many compliments from our guests, and the atmosphere was just perfect—elegant yet relaxed. The guest rooms were equally impressive: charming, comfortable, and spotless. Everyone felt very well looked after, and the whole experience ran smoothly from start to finish. We’re so grateful to the entire team for making our special day even more memorable. Highly recommended for anyone planning an event or simply looking for a great place to stay in Dublin!

We stayed here for one night before heading out on a 7-day cycling trip. This well-located small hotel was chosen by the tour operator and we had an absolutely wonderful stay. The room, although compact, was clean and well-appointed. Very quiet and comfortable for sleeping. Staff was friendly and attentive and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Be sure to enjoy the outdoor seating area for an afternoon beverage. I would not hesitate to recommend The Schoolhouse for your stay in Dublin.

We had our intimate civil wedding at the school house. I honestly cannot rate it highly enough. Everything was absolutely perfect. The events director Laura made everything effortless from our first contact she responded quickly, allowed us make edits to our set menu, and organized our hotel rooms for guest with different needs. Everything was so well organized and communicated to us so we could relax on the day. On the actual day, the food and staff were amazing! Everyone especially the bartenders were fantastic taking care of orders and checking in regularly for refills and cleaning off tables. And while the actual wedding was perfect, the rooms themselves were wonderful and cozy for us and all of our guests. So comfy and spacious for getting ready. I would highly recommend the School House to anyone looking to celebrate their special occasion.

We couldn't have been happier with our experience. From the beginning, the front desk girls were amazing and incredibly sweet to our son. The rooms were so well cared for and clean. We were treated so well and ate so well. The attached restaurant isnt a hotel restaurant, it is a true restaurant with a wide assortment of meals and the ingredients are fresh. After long days, it was nice to grab a drink there. We enjoyed the breakfasts in the morning, the staff really was so warm. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant today! The weather was beautiful and sunny, which made everything even more enjoyable. We were warmly welcomed and received exceptional service from a Brazilian waitress named Milena — she truly made the difference with her kindness and attention. This sunny day, combined with such great service, made our experience unforgettable. We will definitely be coming back! ❤️❤️❤️

We booked the hotel and as it was the first trip away with our grandson we did not know how we would get on. The hotel were so helpful and kind to us - even though we have arrived without half of our luggage due to Heathrow issue! The hotel was lovely and the meals we had were great with our grandson eating everything in sight! The staff were so helpful and friendly and the food excellent, without their help and advice I am not sure we would have had anything like the experience we did. We even managed to recover out luggage back at the airport for the trip home. Thank you for all of the staff, particularly reception and in the bar. You all made our holiday complete.

Very comfortable: room size, lighting, cleanliness, bathroom, linen supply.|Very lovely space both in the room and the building itself. Charming small hotel and wonderful architecture. Quiet location with good walk into central Dublin.|Lunch at the Gastrobar was very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you enjoy aesthetic charm around you, you don’t like to be in the thick of crowds, and you like simple but pleasing comfort!|Only 2 minor complaints; Pillows were too thick or too hard and thin. And though the cooked breakfast was delicious, there was room for improvement at the self serve continental portion - no plain yogurt, the fresh fruit was minimal, the cheese selection was minimal.

We had a fabulous evening here at The Schoolhouse last Thursday evening for our work Summer BBQ. The food was delicious and everyone commented on just how lovely it was. The setting was perfect. Some of our colleagues had never been to The Schoolhouse and they loved it and as always the staff were lovely and accommodating. I would highly recommend The Schoolhouse for a work or personal event, and/or just popping in for a bite to eat or a drink. The location and setting is just perfect.
