We hosted an office social on the beach behind Schooners. It is the perfect location. The beach is so wide and large, you have plenty of room to set-up your space and not crowd anyone else. We had a nice size circle of chairs, tables with food, a smores bar and bonfire🔥 Schooners right on the beach is so convenient to make your entertaining complete. This is the place to host a event!!!

Krystle was our server and she was super sweet. The location is beautiful right next to the beach. Atmosphere is a relaxed beach shack vibes. We had the fish tacos with smoked Gouda grits. This is our first time in PCB and honestly this meal was THE best meal we’ve had here so far. We will definitely be coming back before we leave.

Delicious seafood!!!!!!!! Some of the best grouper I’ve ever had. It was cooked perfectly and flaky. The cheese grits were to die for and the crab claws were full of flavor (butter and garlic). LJ served us at the bar and he was amazing. A PCB local with lots of great recommendations. Ambiance is great after a Long Beach day. We plan on going back today for more drinks and to try some of their appetizers.

This place has the BEST crabcakes ever!Also the jerk grill chicken sandwich is amazing and the fried shrimp! This place is family friendly and we enjoy having our dinner on the beach. Our waitress was super nice and knowledgeable about the food items. Our food was hot and fresh. We enjoyed our experience and we will be back again.

Cody was our server and he was amazing. We got an ocean view table for four and it did not disappoint. Food was amazing, service was too notch and the view was absolutely perfect. Lunch (1 appetizer, 2 beers, 1 soda, 1 virgin daiquiri and four meals) was pricey but I’d pay it again to eat here.

Nice spot on the beach! Fish was great, grits were so amazing. Highly recommend! Our server was on point, friendly and helpful. It was busy though there is a nice waiting area out front and they text you when your table is ready.

Love the local local vibe here! We sat at the bar so we didn’t need to wait to be seated. The men at the bar were great especially LJ! The seafood gumbo, the drunken shrimp and the party platter were all so good! Everything was fresh and yummy! Nice view of the beach from the bar! Good food and good drink & beer offerings! What more can you ask for??

I loved this place. We got baskets of popcorn shrimp that were perfect! Not one for hush puppies, I liked these a little bit. They had a sweetness about them and they were alright. My bf had blackened grouper and he liked it, I tasted it, and that is something I might order for myself sometime. This is a fun place and I can see having a few too many cocktails here and leaving a little better than when I came in…..if I drank that is…..lol. On a July Monday evening at 7:30 p.m., we had an hour wait. Great place and worth that wait!

Weekdays 3 to 5 the menu is 50% off. They do not have crab claws on the 50 off. Went there at 330. Ordered gumbo small salad and Key lime pie. All the food was good. Service was eexcellent. ToTotal for the bill $10.70.

A good stop on our trip! It all tasted better because we were there during half off everything month (Feb). This made the prices seem very fair. Service was as good as expected and no problems there The food was tasty for what it was. Fried fish is mostly pretty standard. The hush puppies were good, and the shrimp and oysters were pretty good too. Strawberry Daiquiris tasted like jello (not sure if any alcohol was in it) Margarita was basic but still good. At the price were we're happy but at double price I may have second guessed some of the choices. Overall a reliable seafood place with great fun atmosphere. Make sure to be there at sunset as they shoot the cannon every night!

Gumbo was FIRE. Wedge salad was absolutely terrible, lol. Not what I was expecting at all. Husband got the tuna steak and it was pretty tasty. We will go back I'm sure since it's on the beach. Great atmosphere. Service was decent!

First time visit this year but we visit every year. The fried shrimp was awesome! Sat at the bar and had a great time. Drinks were awesome. Bartender definitely took care of us. Great beach atmosphere. Love this place!

Hit the happy hour at Schooner's. Talk about a busy place? After 1 1/2 hour wait, we were seated and had a great early dinner. All food and drinks were 50% off for happy hour. Had a draft beer along with an order of Gator Bites basket with creole remoulade sauce, Chicken basket with Jerk seasoning and a side of smoked gouda cheese grits. Added a half order of Loco wings with a sweet chili buffalo sauce. All food was very good in flavor and taste. Schooners is also located directly on the beach so it a win, win situation. Would definitely go back again.

Had a shrimp bowl that was amazing. Great drinks and our server was wonderful. Beach front was Jst what we were looking for.

Good fried seafood with a great view. When looking for fresh seafood Schooners on the beach is the place to be. Parking can be a bit tricky as you need to look for the signs that say parking for Schooners or for public parking. Walk in get greeted by the hostess, ask for an inside table with a view of the ocean and enjoy. Got the fried seafood platter which came with fried catfish, fried shrimp, fried oysters, fries and hush puppies. Everything was delicious. The service was great as our server was nice and friendly. I highly recommend this local hang out for delicious seafood, great people and terrific views of the beach and ocean.

Came by here for lunch on our most recent trip to PCB after a morning dive trip. We didn't have to wait long for a table. We started with the buffalo shrimp and I got the grouper basket for my entree. I highly recommend the key lime cream rum drink. It tastes like key lime pie in a cup!

4 of us went to dinner tonight (Thursday)! We had a short wait time and we waited by the open bar. Recommend the Herra Who (marg), not too sweet, get a souvenir cup Ordered fried crab claws as an appetizer, a large amount and tasty - good for sharing. Entrees: blackened grouper basket w a side of Gouda grits. Grits were delicious and had bacon bits in them! Yum! Not an overpowering blackened taste - just enough spice & so fresh. Fried grouper basket - comes w hushpuppies & a side. Beer battered fries are a great option. We loved our beach front view with a nice ocean breeze while we ate! Quick service with a sunset view - Count Me In!!!!

June, summer, busy season! Be patient waiting for a table if you arrive 7 pm or after... they close on (Sunday) at 10 pm. 1 1/2 hr wait. Domestic beer not bad prices, craft beer pricy & they have Pina Coladas & other frozen drinks for $12 in a pretty small cup. Larger sizes available too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Gator Bites!!! Really tender & well seasoned. Loud, but a great vibe. No live music, but a very good selection of overhead music that hits all generations. 3 bars, 1 outside & 2 inside. A GREAT patio if you are lucky to get out there- we were!!! Inside seating isn't bad, but at the beach... There is a stage, but tonight no performance. This is towards the Ripley's Museum, away from Pier Park... not much traffic on this side, so a 4.5 mile drive took about 10 mins. 4 of us $166 + tip & a couple of drinks waiting. $200 +\_ for the night. Less expensive options available, all proceeds ranges. All worth it! Friendly staff to serve you too! Enjoy!

This bar and restaurant which is located right on the beach is a must-try. We went on a Monday afternoon for their early bird happy hour 1/2 price off everything on their menu. It was bustling. The crowds were gathered outside before it even began. We were able to get a table in the back by the windows that looked over the beach. The staff was friendly and we were served our food pretty quickly. The food was delicious. We got the grouper entree, the ahi tuna dinner and chicken tenders for the kids. I highly recommend the grouper. So yummy. I would go back the next time I visit.

If you're looking for dinner with a beautiful view, Schooners checks that box. Tables right next to the beach to watch the sunset -- there's nothing like it The waitress was very friendly and warm. However, it took about 35 minutes for us to get our food. A bit longer than I would have expected. I got the 10 oz burger. It was very delicious. Kids all loved their grilled cheese kids meal . I'd probably swing back again if I was in the area.

Loved this beach side local bar! You've got the sun, sand and surf! What's not to love. Plan on a wait if you go during peak times, but the food is well worth it! I got the tuna medallions for an app and the fish tacos as my main. The medallions had a perfect sear on them and tasted very fresh! I didn't expect the spicy kick on the tacos but it was definitely there. Great for locals and tourists

Great service, great food, great views. As a local, we do love visiting! We bring our friends and family here. Having a local place, owned by locals, who care for their people and for the community is where you should go! Whether you are here visiting or a local, I would highly recommend dining and enjoying your time here! Take care of your servers!!!

Great service on a busy night. Staff moved quickly. You can enter directly off the beach. Host stand took our name and was seated much quicker than we were told. Food came quick, nothing special but good overall.

This was my first stop while visiting Panama City with my family. I made it down before everyone else and wanted to treat myself to lunch and a cocktail on the beach. So glad I chose this location! My tacos were excellent and my drink was delicious . Also, it had been quite a while since I've had hush puppies, and theirs didn't disappoint. My server was so sweet and checked on me several times throughout my visit. I was there around 2PM on a Wednesday and it wasn't overly crowded at all. I got to enjoy the breeze and view of the beach while enjoying my meal. I would definitely recommend this place if you want good food as well as a view

Ok y'all on to our next dinner stop.....And all I can say is wow for 4 of our 5 entrees I'll start with the bad and end on a good note. Do NOT order the lobster ravioli. First of all, it's just way too heavy for the beach and I should've known better....lol. One of my bites had some lobster that hadn't been properly cleaned but the rest honestly lacked any good pieces of lobster. I wish I would've gone with my first choice but I had to at least try it. The tuna dip was by far the tables favorite of the trip. It keeps getting better at each stop. The hush puppies were really yummy but would have rather had some cinnamon butter vs tartar sauce just because I like the sweetness but no one else at the table didn't seem to care either way. Now for the really good stuff. Everything else was hands down amazing. All was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. Fries were all crispy and I really enjoyed the flavor of whatever it is they are frying them in. Not one drop of salt needed. Our server, Mya was the absolute friendliest. I wanted to make sure I got her name before we left so I could mention her. She had a smile every time she came to the table and was just the best. I would highly recommended this spot and I'm giving it a full 5 stars because it deserves it. Also want to just mention that sitting outside was just a great atmosphere. Nice breeze and you couldn't even feel the 90 degree heat from outside. The only thing was that the music was pretty loud. Didn't matter, we loved it!!

I was visiting PCB for work and pretty much all the employees recommended Schooners!! I'm so glad they did!! It was amazing!! The view is probably the best at the beach. We caught a beautiful sunset! The food is bar food but it's far from your average bar food. We started with the mahi bites and they were lightly fried and had so much flavor. The mahi was very fresh! We both actually had the popcorn shrimp basket for our meals, both again, very fresh and the shrimp was delicious!! Would absolutely return to try more of the menu!!!

Busy restaurant but pleasant servers, affordable drinks, and good food. We enjoyed our time at schooners, expect a wait for dinner. The fish tacos, hushpuppies, and chicken sandwich were all delicious. Especially the hushpuppies. Perfectly fried creamy corn bread- so good. The kids got mahi bites and fries, they were so-so. 8/10 would recommend.

We came to Schooners for Lobzilla. They had a party band in the beach and the place was pretty full. Luckily, we found two seats at the bar pretty quickly. The bartender was super busy, but made his way to us and was pretty attentive for how busy he was. The drinks were nice, strong and not overly priced. The lobster specials for "Lobzilla" were hit and miss. The lobster flatbread was a hit. The "lobster roll," more of a miss. The band was good, the atmosphere was a party, and we had fun. Definitely go back!

The service was fast. The waittess was friendly. The cannon went off at sunset. Laid back atmosphere. The food came quickly. The sandwiches come with giant Kaiser rolls. We loved the hushpuppies. The grouper was market price, which means it was expensive. The bugers arw massive.However, the beer was in a can, which is a negative for me.

Went to Scooners last Tuesday for lunch! Was seated promptly by the window overlooking the beach and was promptly greeted by the server! Luckily it was lobster fest and I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese it was excellent along with the drinks! Highly recommend this place was told at times it's very busy with a long wait time!

Absolutely recommend if you're heading to Panama City Beach!! I was there over the weekend and was lucky enough to grab a table with a gorgeous view of the beach/ocean! Service was fantastic, my spicy margaritas were amazing (pro tip: order one to go!), and the hush puppies were great! But, get there early - by the time we left, the line was out the door - and it's off season!! I imagine this place is bumping during summer - highly recommend!

Schooners is an extremely popular and trendy seafood hot spot with Oceanside views in Panama City beach Florida. My family of 7 along with my parents and 4 of my nephews/niece came here for a big family dinner while on vacation. Place is massive but is always super crowded. We was able to find a spot in the parking across the street and luckily only had about a 20 min wait for a party our size. Service at this establishment was very quick and top notch. They handled our large party great. It was tight fit but we made it work. Food wise we obviously sampled them menu well. I personally got the popcorn shrimp basket and it was very tasty. Other people's Opinions on the grouper sandwich, Tuna steak and Drunken Shrimp Bowl were all rave reviews. Everyone said the food was fresh and tasty! Overall it's your typical touristy seafood spot on the beach but the food does live up to the billing. I can see why it is a popular spot in Panama City beach.

Ambiance is 100% awesome. You can walk out of the restaurant directly on to the beach, which a lot of people do during the long waits before getting seated. One of the best things about this place is although they don't take reservations, they have a great system that keeps you updated about your place in line. They text you a link, and it tells you how many tables are in front of you and an estimated wait time. We have a group of 11 and went on a Sunday night at 5:30, it was an hour and a half wait. It was fine - we were in walking distance to our rental so we walked back home, gave the kids a snack to tide them over, and kept track of our wait time before deciding to leave when there were 3 tables ahead of us. Another great option is to take advantage of their outdoor walk up bar while you're waiting, which is convenient if you choose to just hang out before being seated. All of the food was really good. We got the Wisconsin cheese curds, fish tacos, popcorn shrimp, an adult cheeseburger (it wasn't great but it's a seafood joint so we'll let it slide), crab cake dinner, teriyaki chicken wing appetizer, and a variety of kids meals. Everything came out promptly and accurately, and our server was spot on with everything. It takes a lot to keep track of a group of 11, when 7 are kids. We tend to be a bit needier. Extra napkins, tons of refills, more ketchup, etc. We were very well taken care of!

We are back for a 2nd visit because the food is awesome. The entire month of February they offer 1/2 off the entire menu from 3-5 pm. The place is packed like sardines. Today I'm having 1/2# of fried shrimp & a side of smoked gouda & tasso cheese grits. The shrimp were awesome. Kris had an a great tuna medallion dish with a spinach salad. Another great meal at Schooners.

I'm a local and I still enjoy dining at this classic restaurant. The food is always prepared to order and it's absolutely amazing! I love the way we can walk through the restaurant and onto the beautiful beaches of the Emerald Coast! The bar is accessible from the beach as well. This trip I had the Blackened Grouper and my wife had the Shrimp and Grits. Both meals were amazing and so fresh! I highly recommend the Bloody Mary's.

First night out. Let's do ye old standby Schooners! Shrimp, grits and hush puppies, blackened Grouper, mashed potatoes. Late in evening so fast service!

Busy place, lots of action. Went early, like around 2:30, and there was already a wait of an hour for a table. Requested a seaside table. It had a great view of the ocean and the restaurant. Lots characters come in for early bird special (50% off between 3-5 pm). Seniors galore. Wifey had the blackened mahi-mahi basket with Cole slaw and hush puppies. Fish portion was modest and dry. Spices were great, but final product could have been better. Almost like the grill was too hot. We were a little disappointed. I had the wedge salad with a slab of blackened grouper. Presentation was a little odd. Salad come out in a small bowl and consisted of a romaine heart cut in half with Roquefort cheese crumbles, bacon bits and tomato's. Fish was nicely prepared. Portion size was good. Blue cheese dressing on the side topped off the look. Meal needed to be served on a plate rather than a small bowl. Wait staff was very busy. We had Krystle. She was friendly, helpful and attentive. The early bird discount was excellent. Value was great. Highly recommend without any reservations except for the long wait. We enjoyed our meals and the seaside seating.

Our favorite beach bar. We enjoy walking up from the beach and getting frozen drinks and lunch. Remember to bring back their insulated cups for cheaper refills of their bushwackers.

This is a busy busy place. The food options seem many but I feel like they all taste the same. I had a shrimp bowl with black beans/rice- and it was ok. Daughter had the blackened mahi- which I expected would be fresh and great. But it was average. Service was spotty, and while I LOVED my Pina colada AND the gorgeous walk on beach after, I wouldn't rush to go back to eat. Ambience is loud, casual, lots of families, and lots of tables close together.

Recommend this place for food and for experience. Right on the beach, this place is a gem. It claims to be the last beach club- may or may not be true. It was so great right on the beach. We went out on the white sand to wait- best wait spot in the world. The sand is so perfect. So many good things but hands down, the shrimp and grits stole the show. Their cheesy grits topped with shrimp and crawfish sauce was a perfect pair. I would return to PCB just to have those Shrimp & Grits again.

Went here at 8:00pm on a Friday night. There were mixed reviews, which I always check before going to any restaurant. So, with the ads of live music and fresh seafood and an oceanfront spot, we decided to try it. Well, don't go at 8pm because they close at 9 and they do not want you there because you are an inconvenience. Got our drinks in record time, but I had to make myself drink mine and honestly I can tolerate most anything. Bad thing, I love my drinks strong and I actually like shots but I ordered a Long Island and I can't believe how awful it was. It tasted like I was drinking straight Everclear. I think the reasoning was, that I would not inconvenience the bar, by asking for another drink. We were never asked about appetizers or dessert and left very disappointed. Btw, I did drink that awful drink because I can't stand to waste money.

Efficient and friendly service, yummy food, and solid drinks There's nothing better than sitting on an open patio with the breeze blowing that overlooks the ocean. The restaurant was clean especially for being in open air. They have some food specials 11:00 - 4:00 and a refillable drink cup for any time during the day for certain cocktails at a discounted price. We enjoyed the East End fish tacos and the seared crabcakes. The fish was very fresh and well flavored. We mentioned that our food was shared so they divided and plated the meal separately which was very nice. Our server was pleasant and service came quickly. I would definitely return.

Schooners is a great in the beach place to eat. Great drinks and food. Marie our server was amazing. we ordered gumbo soup onion rings cheeseburger virgin drinks for the kids go at iff time and you can walk in, others times could be at least hour wait

Cool spot with a great location on the beach. I had the grouper entire once and then the Mahi tacos the next day. Both were great and be sure to get the grits as your side. Our servers both nights were great

So good we are here twice! While on vacation here we tried Schooners on our second night. The Mahi Bites were our top fish for the whole vacation. My husband preferred the blackened grouper over the fired but both were outstanding. The Drunken Shrimp Bowl was so so flavorful and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Even though this place is typically packed the service was quick, friendly, and professional. It does have a bar type vibe but it wasn't rowdy either time we were there. Sitting by the beach was spectacular while getting to enjoy good food. 10/5 recommend!

Will come here again next year just for the peel and eat shrimp. It was the best shrimp I've ever had in my life. I almost want to make a weekend trip just for it lol. The burger was also very good and the ranch must be house made because it was delicious as well. Highly recommend going. Expect a wait--but it's worth it.

Wait was entirely too long so we ended up leaving before we got any food so can't comment on that. Too many good places to wait over 3 hours to eat.

The only place I count on being open when I visit PCB. This place is about the atmosphere. No need for expectations: Come for a basket of fried stuff and beer, enjoy the breeze, and let the waves lap the sand while you hang out with friends.

Busy, local place by the water. Live music and a decent crowd. Food was standard fried fair, we had some shrimp and alligator bites, they were good. Will have to come back to try other dishes.

Terrible experience. No reservations and you put your name on a list to get called when your party is available. We were a party of two and asked for a table with a chair back as opposed to first available. Well that was a mistake. We watched party after party get seated as we waited over 90 minutes to get seated. Even seeing in the app that we were "next party". Don't come here as a party of two if you don't want to sit on a stool. You'll watch parties of 5-10 get seated before you. They won't seat parties of two at an actual square 4-top as we saw it sit empty for 20 minutes and we were the 'next party to be seated' after waiting over an hour. You have to wait for a smaller 2-top to open up. They definitely only cater to bigger parties.

A large busy restaurant right on the beach. Two bars inside and one small one outside. Lots of tables and lots of space to enjoy the atmosphere. It's very hectic in here at the busy times but it's handled well. We had a short wait but reasonable consideration how busy it was. Our server was excellent and salads and seafood as good as it gets. Don't miss it in the area

We had a short wait and sat outside while we waited. They had an outdoor bar if you wanted to get a drink while waiting. Once we were seated, service was quick and great even though they were busy. I had the blacked grouper and my husband had the tuna. The grouper was ok but the tuna was so good. Kids had grilled cheese and chicken fingers which were both eaten entirely so they must've been good too. Define will go back.

Service was very friendly and fast. Very nice restaurant tucked back in a corner. Food was delicious!
