What an amazing dinner at the new addition to Shrams Winery, the "Bonfire & Barrel" restaurant! The food was incredible, and the atmosphere and decor perfectly reflected the beautiful ambiance of the vineyard and its wine.

Such a beautiful place with beautiful view. Calm and so serene. Delicious food. Especially veggie pizza was yum. Beer was really good here. We loved this place .dog friendly and kids friendly too. You can celebrate birthdays here too. Wow...loved this place .

Super cute winery with great tasting wine! My only complaints would be the music & closing food an hour prior to closing.

Schram Vineyards Winery & Brewery in Waconia, MN absolutely nailed it. From the moment we walked in, the vibes were immaculate, the drinks were flowing, and the food? Unreal. Huge shoutout to Joey S, our server, who was an absolute legend. Attentive without hovering, fun without being cheesy, and somehow always there exactly when we needed something. Truly made us feel celebrated and taken care of all night. And Samone, the chef—WOW. Every single dish was next-level. You could taste the care, creativity, and intention in everything we ate. It wasn’t just dinner, it was an experience. We were there celebrating my best friend’s 41st birthday, and Schram made it unforgettable. Between the incredible service, amazing food, and beautiful atmosphere, this place delivered in every way. We laughed, we toasted, we ate like royalty. If you’re looking for a spot that gets it right—from the kitchen to the floor—this is it. We’ll be back, no question.

Loved coming to see the new restaurant, GREAT food, we had bruschetta & smoke haus pizza (our new favorite). As always, wine is good :). Like any new restaurant, they are working the kinks out but we had great service & can’t wait to come back!

Enjoyed the new Schram space during the holidays and it was spectacular! Everyone behind the bar was attentive and knowledgeable about the drinks they were pouring. Had dinner in the new restaurant and the food was great! The bartender was very helpful telling us about a few of her favorites from the menu. Highly recommend Schram for their beautiful atmosphere, drinks and food!! 10 out of 10!

I really really really wanted to like this place I truly did and we drove all the way from Plymouth to try it. The place is beautiful and the service was good. For the price the food was not good. My wife's seltzer tasted like a flat wine. My fig and pig pizza sounded amazing and what I got was the limpest pizza you could ever imagine. Strait trash, It was so soggy I don't know what you call it. The toppings work and the prosciutto, mozz, balsamic and arugula are great but that crust on that pizza is a damn train wreck. The server offered us a free dessert which sounded great so we got the apple crisp which was burned on the bottom. On a good note my wife's steak was terrific.

The new restaurant at Schram is absolutely amazing! The pizza was incredible, the drinks were great, and the service was top-notch! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quantity and quality you get. Everything—from the food to the experience—was fantastic. Highly recommend!

I will preface this with: we did not eat or drink here. Me and my husband were out on a drive "snooping around" as we call it.... We stumbled upon this place and decided to check it out. When we walked in we they told us they weren't open yet but we asked if we could take a look around. They said yes! :) The grounds are gorgeous!! It was huge and just kept going. I bet they have some lovely events here. We learned that they were about to open a new restaurant very soon called Bonfire and Barrel. Check this place out if you're in the area!

I'll start by stating that I love this winery, and have been a long time customer (including their Axebridge Minneapolis location when that existed). I've also been a past wine club member, and we make several trips to the winery a year, including some of their premier events, such as the Bonfire event in the fall. With excitement, I attended the soft opening of their new "Bonfire and Barrel" space at the winery today. If I were to rate the space just on the winery/new space it would be a 4 or 4.5 rating; if I were to include the food it would be a 2 or 3 rating. I love that they've added a brand new space with seating for dining, wine tastings, and a bar with mixed drinks / beer. I've always felt that the indoor space was lacking nooks and crannies for imbibing and conversing comfortably with others, and I wish they had leaned into that idea more. I welcome what they did with the new space, but there's really only space for 4-5 small groups to relax in comfortable seating around the firespace; so of you are one of the lucky ones to score a primo spot, you will have a great experience. Everyone else will have a better experience than they did in the old space, but not as great as it could have been. The space does have an industrial feel a bit with the concrete floors. If the space is full, the acoustics will make an intimate conversational experience a challenge. The sound system playing music in the new space was really inferior, and I do wish that were higher quality (but that may not be as important to everyone). My real criticism is the food. We came early (2:30 on a Friday), and ordered a pizza. The undercarriage of the pepperoni pizza we ordered managed to be almost burned on the bottom, but raw in the middle through all of the crust. And the sauce was awful....it tasted like tomato paste. At $27 for a large pizza, I expect a properly executed wood fired pizza, not raw. This is the second time this has happened to us, so I don't think we will order a pizza a third time, which is a shame since sometimes you really want food with your cocktail. The other food choices really weren't as appealing as the ones that were on the Axebridge menu (their sister winery in Minneapolis that had full dining before it closed). Note: we ordered a large pizza, but they were out of large pizza dough and they substituted two small pizzas instead (which probably worked out better for us, but for the raw pizza dough aspect of the meal). Our outing at the new space for a bottle of wine/large pizza/tip was almost $100. At that price, I expect food that is tasty and well cooked, not expensive and nearly raw. The server we had was pleasant and welcoming, and properly attentive. The winery has ample parking. The location in Waconia is almost an hour travel time, so this is a planned outing for us. It pains me to ding them at all, because I like what they did, but it could have been better.

Schram Winery is an adorable winery with a cute aesthetic and exceptional wine and food. What makes Schram special was the people. Mike took care of our group from the moment we walked in until we left. He knew everything there was to know about the wine answering our questions ranging from how they make their wine to what wine we should order next. We look forward to returning to try more great wines and pizza with Mike.

We visited for a birthday and it was a perfect day outside after the ran passed. Very busy on a Saturday but plenty of space for you outside to get away from the crowd inside. The service was great even with the crowd. The bottles also are reasonably priced. Plenty of parking and lots of places for photos!

I would give zero stars if I could. We came here expecting to enjoy wine and food, but they got backed up and weren't serving food anymore at 7 PM and they close at 10. So we ordered our own food only to be told after the fact that we weren't allowed to eat it in the restaurant. Instead of handling the situation with any sort of professionalism, the MANAGER gave us attitude and made the whole experience uncomfortable. Between the lack of food options, the inconsistent rules, and the poor service, this place was a huge disappointment. Definitely won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend to anyone looking for a welcoming winery experience.

There were plenty of spots to sit and unwind, and the view was stunning. The level of friendliness was excellent. We ordered a charcuterie board and magarita flatbread, and both were excellent. Without a doubt, one of my favorite wineries to visit again. All the drinks that we tried were all delicious

They shorted me on a pour not only once, but twice. My husband and I ordered from the same bartender at the same time. First time I thought maybe he got the remaining of the bottle in his glass. The second time I have to take personal! Was it something I was wearing?? lol We had pizza and it was good, not great and not bad. Wine is definitely on the sweet side, even when they say it's dry it is not. Average glass is about $13. You're paying for the venue and view of the lake next to the vineyard. Overall I would say it's very mediocre food and mediocre wine with high prices and great atmosphere.

This was the best winery in waconia and up there with the best winery in the state. The place is big and bright and up to date. The wine was wonderful and light (not the super heavy sugary stuff at other wineries) the beer was good as well as the food. Everyone was very kind, especially the staff

We stopped in last weekend to enjoy the beautiful weather and grab a small bite to eat. The staff was attentive and kind with several bar tenders and several people continuously walking the property and picking up glasses. As a wine club member however, ordering food was yet again disappointing. We have ordered food inside during the chillier months with no issue, but this summer (3 times) we have yet to have a good experience at the outside food truck and I would not recommend. We ordered one order of sliders and it took over an hour for it to be ready. I understand being busy, but there was only one staff person working the food truck, when clearly other staff was available to pitch in. I hope that they are able to either increase their staff at the food truck, or simplify the menu to allow for a better experience and meet customers expectations. However, the food was good and fresh when it arrived!

Love this place beautiful grounds, plenty of seating inside and out and lots of great options for wines, cocktails and food. The bees were kinda crazy outside the day I was there but the vibe otherwise was perfect. I'd love to go back for the live music one day and to try out the bocce ball courts!

Nice place to visit, had live music, lots of indoor/outdoor seating, Great atmosphere. Can walk through & see the vineyard. Flat bread pizza good, generous portion of pretzel soft fresh delicious, meat & chateau cheese board yummy.

Everything from the service to the wine was great! There was plenty of seating inside and outside. We sat inside because there wasn't a lot of open shady areas on a very hot summer day outside, but still found the inside to be enjoyable. We could see the vineyard and the lake from inside the building very clearly and it was gorgeous! There were also people playing bocce ball and they even had a live band playing. You also don't have to worry about parking, there was a huge parking lot right on property! Overall would go back for another glass of wine!

My partner and I headed out on the first warm(ish) spring day for a glass of wine and conversation. It was a perfect day. And I'm happy to see that their Bonfire red will be available soon! That one is my favorite. We had the Sangiovese and another red, but the Sangiovese was our favorite. This winery is a special place, I have many sweet memories here. Yoga in the vineyard is starting up again soon!

This place is AMAZING! The wine is divine, charcuterie boards are delicious and the views outside are beautiful! If you're not a wine drinker don't worry- they also have beer. In the summer time they have tons of seating outside for you to choose from or if you prefer the AC they have a decent space inside to sit overlooking the vineyard. I have also been in the winter time and it was still a beautiful view with all the snow. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. This is a great place to go for a date night or with friends.

Beautiful setting to drink wine in! Only 30 minutes from the city but it feels like you're much further out than that - rolling hills, fields of corn, and of course rows on rows of grapevines. I came here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday and it was just what I had hoped for. I did the tasting with a few of my friends and then ordered a few glasses of wine. My favorites were the Oaked Chardonnay and the Blush! Our group also ordered some pizzas and pretzels - perfect for an afternoon of drinking and chatting. The grounds are also huge so plenty of space for groups of any size!

Gorgeous night and beautiful location. Just the very best blush I have ever had. The owner, Ashley, is so charming. The wine flights are so fun, and the bruschetta is new this summer and is just the best! Love this place! Note: although kids are allowed, this is not a daycare. Please hire a babysitter.

Schram Vineyards Winery and Brewery is a nice fusion location for both wine and bear drinkers. The wine selection is decent and the beer selection too. It's nice that you can get flights of both for tasting. The service was friendly and helpful. The setting is picturesque as the establishment sits amidst the rolling hills of rural Waconia. Plenty of seating in and out. We happen to come when there was live music which was quite nice. If you are in to bocce, there's a nice course there to use. Some nice places for private events as well. The wine was decent as was the beer.

A Mixed Experience I recently visited Schram Winery for the first time and wanted to share my thoughts on the overall experience. While the winery has some positive aspects, there are a few points worth noting that may impact your visit. -Ambiance and noise level: One of the notable aspects of Schram Winery is its large and inviting tasting room. Unfortunately the tall ceilings and wide configuration of the tasting room makes it quite condusive to noise, and a modest amount of customers will result in a rather loud environment. Although they do have noise-cancelling mats mounted throughout the room, the noise level can still make it challenging to have a conversation with someone, let alone engaging with any of the hosts. This hindered my overall enjoyment of the tasting experience. -Wine Quality: On the upside, Schram offers a selection of wines that are very good I enjoyed the wines, the flavors are rich and use midwest-grown grape varieties. Whether you enjoy reds or whites, you're likely to find something that you will enjoy. -Pricing: While the wines are great, it's important to consider the pricing. Schram Winery's wines are positioned at a significantly higher price point compared to other local wineries in the area. This pricing strategy may act as a deterrent for those looking to purchase bottles or cases, especially when considering the competitive market. -Tasting room setup and wait times: The main aspect that raised eyebrows during my visit was the tasting room setup. Despite having ample space in the tasting room, Schram Winery opts for a portable cart for wine tastings. This setup, unfortunately, can only accommodate a limited number of people at a time--typically two. As a result, visitors may find themselves waiting in line for a tasting, especially during peak hours. This inefficiency in the tasting area feels like an afterthought, considering the ample bar space that could have been utilized for a more streamlined and enjoyable tasting experience. The bar/register area should ideally function as a single-station setup, given its designation as a "quick transaction area." Customers should be able to approach, order a glass of wine, complete their payment, and promptly leave. The remaining bar space could be repurposed to accommodate tastings, providing a more spacious and relaxed environment without the constraints of limited space or time pressures. Overall my visit was a mixed experience. The quality of the wines is great, and we had a pleasant wine tasting experience with their hosts but did have to wait about 20 minutes before the station opened up. However the loud atmosphere, higher pricing, and the somewhat inconvenient tasting setup might impact the overall enjoyment for some visitors.

Always a favorite. Took a couple grandkids with us and they sure enjoyed the food! Won't disappoint!

Had an amazing time! The aesthetics were top tier, and Mike made our wine tasting experience so fun! The food is pricy so I would eat before, but it is a great place to drink wine and watch a sunset with friends.

I visited Schram Vineyards with some of my best high school gals this past weekend and we had a blast! The property is gorgeous, which makes the views amazing from anywhere you sit. We really appreciated the variety of seating because it was poppin' when we stopped in. Luckily we didn't mind the sun and grabbed one of the few picnic tables open outside. The wine selection for flights were limited the day we visited which was unfortunate. I wanted to get a flight and try a few different things but they were only doing rose flights. Oh well- next time! I got a glass of their Chardonnay and liked it so much I got a bottle #YOLO. I thought the prices were very affordable here. My friend got the cab and I liked that one also. It was 95 out though so I went with the chilled white all day! The service here is friendly and attentive. The staff were welcoming and knowledgable and someone even came outside to check on us. We forgot his name but I think he did the events there and was full of energy. The vineyard was well kept and it made the perfect backdrop for photos. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and I would definitely come back. I'm hoping for a wine flight next time when it's also a little less busy so I can try more things. Keep it up team!

This spot is beautiful! Lots of outdoor seating, great scenery, and fantastic wine and food. Love the ambiance-- super cute getaway just outside the cities. Tried the spinach artichoke flatbread and the large cheese plate, and both were lovely.

First off I have to say I'm very green when it comes to wine. So this was an experience I enjoyed very much. When I walked in all I knew was I wanted a flight of reds. So Janet provided me with a dryness scale and started me off with three good tasting wines. However, the wine I loved the most was the Frontenec Red, which was on my partners flight. Although higher on the dry level I found it to be a quick and clean dry. It was a well balanced full-bodied red and very smooth. If you're new to wine like I am I would suggest trying this for sure! We decided it was so good we purchased a bottle after our flight tasting. I also enjoyed the Blossom, which I found to be impressive since I am far from a white wine drinker. I also have to say I'm impressed at how a MN winery has accomplished such great wines and has outshined California and other wines I have tasted from around the world so far. I can appreciate the hard work and the heart they put into creating these, outside of the perfect climate advantages other wineries have. Although, the menu is limited I definitely appreciated food options. We had the charcuterie board, which was filling and the grapes and bread on it were just delicious. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and there is a lake view outside of the property. It's a beautiful location to just kick back and enjoy some fresh out of the city air. The staff is amazing, friendly, and very helpful. Also, for those who think this place only has wine well beer drinkers you're in luck! So this is a place that everyone can enjoy! Would definitely recommend and will for sure come back.

What a cool getaway from the Cities! We were driving along in the middle of nowhere, among fields, farms and softly rolling hills before we came across this cozy and quaint vineyard. There's plenty of outdoor seating and some indoors too. The girl that helped us didn't rush us and told us the customers' favorites in both beer and wine. We decided to try both and I really enjoyed the beer because it was light and a little sweet which was perfect for a hot, sunny day. We also got a carafe of the Laketown red and it was also refreshing and fruity. When we ordered food, we wanted to sample a little bit of everything but the guy helping us told us that the charcuterie board would be plenty. When it arrived, it was so small! It's the size of an appetizer for 2 people and we were hungry! We ate it and then went back to order more food but they told us the kitchen closed at 7. It was 7:02 :( If you're already in the area, this is a nice place to stop and relax and enjoy some countryside!

Great way to spend a beautiful afternoon in Minnesota!!! Had no idea this place was out here but loved it!! And there was entertainment! Highly recommend!

If I could give this place 10 stars. I would. Tasty local Minnesotan wine. I recommend the Syrah Rose and La Cresent (I prefer whites). I went home with not enough bottles! The ambiance is fun warm and family friendly. Ample room inside and out. You can also rent canopies for private events. It is also a lovely place for a large venue. There is a food truck with great light bite options (my daughter loved the crispy fries). We live in the city, so the drive is not bad. It's worth 45 minute drive for sure! There are 2 other vineyards in close proximity, so you can make a vineyard hop too! In July, they have a wine festival for all 3 that looks like so much fun. Found my new favorite bottle

Came here with a wedding party for an amazing wine testing. Staff was great (especially Becky), food was fantastic and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. My favorite was the white wine called blossom, a must try! Can't wait to come back when I visit MN again.

Great afternoon getaway and beautiful scenery. We were lucky to get a double chair under a tree and then snag a table when someone else left. We had a rose wine and ate food from the food truck -ordering a steakhouse sandwich and egg rolls, a good portion to share. They had great looking charcuterie but we didn't have any. We shared a beer flight after we finished off the wine, mostly their IPAs. I'd go back frequently if it wasn't an hour across the city for us! They have an outside bar, wasn't sure if they had everything so ordered from inside as I wanted to see the inside. Also, a two-stall bathroom inside. With covid it sure makes it hard to distance from others amidst the others standing in line for beverages. Groups were not respecting the signage about not moving chairs. I'm sure they are crawling with people when the sun goes down.

Have been here for both a seated tasting and just grabbing some drinks at the bar. The seated tasting with Ron was fantastic. We got to hear the background of the vineyards and try a bunch of different wines. I would highly recommend, it was well worth the $25. The food available on site was also good and they also had a good truck available the day we were there. Even though it's a bit of a drive for me, I would definitely come back regularly. Also excited to try its sister location, Axebridge, a little closer to home.

I really like the atmosphere and layout of this restaurant. It is very open, plenty of seating, and has great views outside. They also offer snacks to eat while you are there. I saw pizzas, flatbreads, cookies, and soft pretzels on their menu. For the wine, the tastings are preset. I only like sweeter/refreshing wine so the bartender suggested that I just get a glass of one of their wines. She did let me sample 2 before I purchased one though so I would be happy with it. I appreciated her honesty that the tasting may not be for me given this. I ended up with a raspberry bubbly. It was pretty good, but I don't think it is something I would typically drink. I had a sip of my friends laketown white. If you are looking for something very smooth and refreshing I would say that is probably the best if you don't drink wine that much. Overall, good experience! I really liked the atmosphere and our bartender was super friendly!

This is a really beautiful space. My husband and I just stopped in for one beer each so this shouldn't be considered a full review. The space is open d airy, with large windows offering beautiful views. The beers were very good. I'm curious to go back and try the wine. Staff was very friendly, and space was relaxing. It was only 39 degrees the day we were there so we didn't get to experience rhe outside, but there is a lot to offer there!

First stop on a Saturday afternoon. We were had immediate seating as I made a reservations for a table tasting. I probably would just stop in rather then make a reservation but it work for our group. Great varieties of wine and beer . You can either find a table outdoors or pull up some grass. We had a cheese plate but a food truck was also available. I love just hanging with friends and family in our Great State of MN

You've heard the term "another day in paradise" well they were talking about the Schram Vineyards. BEER and WINE so there's something for everyone. Food truck Friday too. Great wines and tasty beer flavors. Bocce ball courts for those who want to test their skills. The ambiance is calm and relaxing too.

Don't even try to go here if you have kids. I've never felt more unwelcome in my life. It's a beautiful view and nice drinks but the staff have completely terrible attitudes. So rude. Are kids silent senior citizens? No but we have money to spend and places to recommend and it WONT be here. If you're an adult only place then make it that. Don't act like you're family friendly when you despise families.

I sincerely appreciate the care and thoughtfulness that went into a private, seated wine tasting that I hosted at Schram Vineyards. Jenn and Andrew were both so friendly, kind, and personable. I hosted my mother-in-law who was visiting from NY, along with my husband and my grown son. They all enjoyed the tasting so much that it was the topic of discussion all the way home from the winery and for the rest of the evening. This was the highlight of my 'other mother's' trip to MN. Beautiful setting overlooking vineyard and lake. Good wine and nice beer selection for those that prefer a cold one. I had been here in the winter and enjoyed it but the summer is so much better - huge outside area with a ton of seating and great ambiance. The service was fantastic too - everyone there is super nice and helpful! Can't wait to go back!

Honestly can say they have amazing wine! Amazing atmosphere as well. Social distancing is effective because of the space they have to spread amongst. Live music and food trucks still in the works.

Very nice winery. Food is pretty good as well. Great spot for a date, small group and with friend and family. I've been back a couple times now.

I hosted a small bridal shower at the Gazebo and everything was perfect! Jennifer, in particular, was so accommodating throughout the entire process. She and her team went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. I highly recommend to anyone. Plus, the wine is excellent. And OMG the bread and olive oil platter was incredible.

This by far is my favorite brewery in the metro area. Wonderful bartenders and great beer! I highly recommend it!

Every time we go to Schram, there's always at least one rude staff member. The last time we went the lady in the food truck rudely told us to "read the sign" when we attempted to order food (the sign said to order food inside). Rather than politely tell us to order inside.

If you are a fan at looking at upper middle class, retired white folks, who like to taste every single option of wines, and buy all the cupcakes so you can't EVEN TRY ONE... you found the right place. If you also enjoy the most deep infusions of the best flavors I have had in a beer, you should definitely visit the Schram Vineyards. Beautiful scenery with FANTASTIC and knowledgeable staff. The food is well priced and have great options for snacks. Will recommend this place to any friends from the cities, the drive is worth it.
