"Spice Up Your Life Germany's most famous chef, Alfons Schuhbeck, travels the world in search of spices but makes it easy for you at his "Gewürze" (Spice) Shop. Choose from over a hundred well-stocked and fragrant spices from all over the world, on three levels. Be sure to check out the Oriental Spice Bazaar on the top floor, if not for the spices then for the ornate decor."

A specialty spice shop founded by renowned chef Alfons Schuhbeck, this location highlights global spice trade history, culinary chemistry, and the role of aromatics in gastronomy. It exemplifies the fusion of culinary heritage with modern gastronomic science.

So many spices, so much choice. It's a little overwhelming once you enter but soon you start imagining the different dishes you can create using the spices. The prices are on the higher side and the service wasn't anything special but the spices spoke for themselves :)

The place has many different kinds of spices and has no problem with it. Customer service is at its lowest, they can treat you like a swine because people still buy by them. When I asked the seller to help me with package, he simply said “I don’t care” and took the product away from me. If I wasn’t in such a hurry, would never buy here. Will also try in the future not to come to this place.

Great choice of spices and bits, but Schuhbeck's only and priced. We had an impression that despite store has 3 levels of shelves many offers repeat throughout our visit in various places. It is rather a brand experience store and tourist attraction.

Amazing selection of spice and blends but very expensive. I was going to buy some traditional German gingerbread spice for a souvenir but decided to go to a farmer’s market instead because the cost for 100g was 10.75€!

Pretty nice store with great decorations and a huge selection of spices. The owner is the famous German 1-star Michelin chef Alfons Schuhbeck. The spice mixtures taste really good, especially the Obatzda, orange pepper and Cafe de Paris. Avoid the single spices since they are repacked FUCHS spices that can be bought in grocery stores for a much cheaper price.

Absolutely amazing spice store. Everything is available in small amounts as needed. Helpful staff. A must visit in Munich if you love to cook.
