The establishment surprised us in two ways. On one hand, the facilities are modern, clean, and offer amenities like a gym and parking. On the other hand, it is an aparthotel, whereas we initially thought it was a regular hotel (perhaps this was our mistake for not researching enough, though it wasn't very clear on Booking).||> Since it is an aparthotel, services you might expect—like daily housekeeping—do not exist. This is a problem; during a one-week stay, the room is cleaned only once. We stayed for a week and paid just over €2,000, which, in our humble opinion, makes it very expensive considering it lacks certain hotel services.||> There are also other issues, such as the dining options. The establishment distinguishes between the 'bar' and the 'restaurant.' The bar opens daily but offers simple snacks and pizzas. The restaurant, however, is only open in the evenings from Tuesday to Sunday, and the menu is not very extensive—oddly enough, it has no more than 15 dishes, only one of which is German. Far from exquisite; quite the opposite. It feels more like school cafeteria food.||> Perhaps the establishment's concept—a young, fresh, modern building with staff who look more like volunteers or fellow guests than employees—isn't bad in itself. However, considering the price, it didn't meet our expectations. We have stayed in hostels and similar establishments before and have never felt this way.||> Finally, I should mention that the gym is decent, and there is a laundry room and good parking. Also, the staff is very pleasant and friendly ('majo') and they always try to help with any problems you might have
