"If you’re looking for a quick in and out, skip Schwarz’s. People come expecting a long wait. The restaurant, which began as a one-room tavern, cuts all its own steaks, hand cuts and breads its own onion rings, and makes its own secret meat seasoning. Everyone orders at the bar, instead of tableside, to keep the behind-the-scenes machinery of a restaurant that serves up to 700 people nightly running smoothly. If it’s too late to drive home, book a room: Schwarz’s has its own guesthouse, too."

I have mixed feelings about my experience at Schwarz’s supper club. Our food was overall really good! The prime rib was very tender and the lobster was sweet and buttery. Our service on the other hand, was not. We are unsure why we were never approached by staff members, even while sitting. We were definitely the youngest couple in there by a landslide- but I don’t feel like that should be a reason we were overlooked all evening. It really affected the atmosphere for us, and made us feel quite uncomfortable throughout our dining experience.

Google
I had the most wonderful birthday dinner of lobster tail and tenderloin and large twice baked potato. The steak was super tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. They even serve a small relish tray! I would highly recommend this restaurant to surf n turf lovers!

Google
This is a unique supper club where you get a menu in the bar area, possibly along with a tasty OLD Fashioned. You place your order and they take you to your table when it is ready. We had a chicken wing (boneless) appetizer. Very good! Our wait was just long enough to get a drink to take to the table. We ordered rib eye steak, club steak, and barbecue ribs. All were hot and delicious. Service was exceptional, too! Our 1st trip to Schwarz's and it won't be our last, for sure.

My first and best experience of a supper club and it was just awesome. Great food, great ambience and awesome service for families and friends l. Would surely recommend it.

Google
Awesome super club, great food and spectacular prices. The place was packed for a Sunday night but still had very fast service and short wait times. We drove over an hour to get here and it was easy to see why Schwarz's is always on every Top Wisconsin Super Club list. Make your own combo or choose one of theirs. We each also added a piece of broaster/fried chicken on the side!

Google
We visited on a Wednesday, early evening. This was probably the easiest time to get a table. Everything was excellent.

Google
Had an excellent experience dining here. Upon entering, I ordered the meal at the bar, and while waiting to be seated sipped on a drink. Ordered a medium prime rib and it was cooked to perfection! Service was friendly and enjoyed the overall comfy feel of the restaurant, hometown feel!

Google
With a lot of hype , I went to see and taste wrist it was all about. I was less than impressed with the quality of taste of the beef tenderloin. The portions are big which is the draw. But to me the taste is more important. Otherwise it was an ok experience.

Yelp
Always an amazing meal! Service is excellent! (No reservations) Adult beverages are spot in as well!

Yelp
We came just shy of 3 hours to try out the infamous Schwarz's! We arrived just at 4 on a Saturday, and the parking lot was stuffed full already. Their bar opened at 3. We walked in with a dozen other people and it was already difficult to scoot around everyone. When you arrive, the bar is a giant V shape. You can go to the right, which is toward the dining room area OR you can go to the left. Along the left side are a few booths and tables for waiting. If you follow the left side along the bar, you'll come upon an entire side room further to the left. Full of tables and booths to sit at. Could definitely have a cocktail waitress or five! We got a drink right away, since we didn't know much about the ordering process before going. I asked the bartended how we order, and she said to look for a lady with menus. It took a while to get one to even LOOK at us to get a menu from. Luckily, we didn't look over the menu beforehand and really already knew what we'd be ordering. When I finally caught a hostess to ask how she knew whose order she would take next, she said, you have to put your menu in the air so she knows you are ready. I replied with we didn't have any, but we were ready anyways whenever she was. She took our order right then and there. They ask your name and party number. Then when your table is ready, they will announce it over the loud speakers. We were told it would be an hour before we go to our table, but it's wasn't even a half hour! I think stopping her and knowing what we wanted really helped speed up our time. But we didn't know the process, and it's not mentioned anywhere! When your name is called, you follow the V Bar off to the right from the entrance and toward the dining room. There is a desk before you enter the dining area and you check in there to see which table you are at. Your salads are all there waiting for you, paired with a classic supper club relish tray and rolls. We had scallops, prime rib, baked potato and fries. Everything was very yummy and our waitstaff were so attentive. I love seeing them work together! Even the teens cleaning off the tables were noticing our water glasses were empty and stepped in to help. Only place it lost a star is the lack of organization with ordering. I know it works for them, but could very well simplify it for both them and the customers by mainstreaming it a bit. A few hostesses looked distressed, but I would be too if everyone was stopping me constantly for menus and to see when they can order or what the process is. Definitely a good one to experience once, but I would hate to navigate the craziness with any additional people in our party.

Yelp
What a great place! The system is great: they take your order in advance, so by the time you get seated, salads and/or appetizers are on the table. This is highly appreciated as this place is extremely busy on a Saturday night. We got there at 5pm and the bar was full...and also the waiting area. The layout of the restaurant is interesting; divided in rooms that you don't see until you get to your table. The menu is great, and the service is even better. One of the best supper clubs in the state! Highly recommended!

Kristy S.

Yelp
Food and service was amazing!!! The bartenders were super friendly!!! The atmosphere was very nice too!!

Dewayne E.

Yelp
This is a great place to visit, and to show others when they visit. The steaks are amazing, the people were amazing and the atmosphere was amazing. We are all looking forward to visiting again and trying other items on the menu!!

Yelp
Friends of ours have suggested Schwarz's as an old fashion Wisconsin supper club that we needed to try. It's the typical order at the bar, have a few old fashioneds and get called to your table when it's time to eat. Our group suggested I had to have the cowboy ribeye. Oh my goodness, what a steak it is. So thick and well prepared. We had a great time with good company, good food and good prices.

Erin P.

Yelp
They've really got it down here. They staff is a well oiled, hustling machine. You wait in the bar until you're ready to order and stand the menu up to let them know. They take your order and call you when you're table is ready. You sit down to your salad, rolls and relish tray waiting for you--followed by your delicious meal. Everything we had was delicious. We opted for: Prime Rib, Walleye, Lobster, Rib Eye with sides of baked potato, french fries, and onion rings. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. As always, the perfect way to end any supper club meal is with a Brandy Alexander or Grasshopper. We always share one and opted for the Brandy Alexander. Sooo good (but you can't go wrong with either of them).

Bill L.

Yelp
We had an outstanding experience in every respect. Food, service, price, and cocktails were all terrific

R G.

Yelp
The layout perfect. The drinks great! The service 100% incredible! The most delicious steaks served by the most on point waiter staff. A big shout out to Sierra for being friendly attentive and accommodating.

Becky L.

Yelp
Interesting visit. You order at the bar which we've seen at other places. However, no one really explains the process unless you explicitly ask. They also didn't have the vegetable and potato options on the menu so we had to ask after that. The bartenders seemed over it real quick. They must have regulars primarily who know exactly what to do. It was tough to come prepared since they don't have a food menu on their website. Once your salad is at the table, they call your name over a loud speaker so you know to seat yourself in the dining room. They had bread and a relish tray at the table, too. After we finished, our meals came out pretty soon. The first few bites were good, but they serve the entrees on metal plates to keep the meal warm which continues to cook the steak. By the end, the sirloin was well done and tough to eat. Our server stopped by to check in on things but also didn't seem that invested. Now that we know what to do and what to expect, it might be a better experience next time but we're not in a hurry to go back. Not the supper club vibe that we have grown accustomed to, maybe.

Yelp
First time visit on a Wednesday evening. Arrived around 4:30 and enjoyed two drinks at the bar. Did not understand the meal ordering arrangement, but the young bartender was patient and kindly explained what to do. We ordered an appetizer and order of onion rings in addition to two medium rare ribeye dinners. When we were called to our table, we sat down to two average lettuce salads, plastic prefilled cups of salad dressing, a basket of Parker house style rolls, not warmed, and an unnecessary relish tray of pickles, olives, and mini corn cobs. As I began to butter a roll to begin to eat my salad, a young man brought over a tray which contained all of our food order at once. Everything was dropped off at the same time. There was not a square inch of open space on our table. Calamari appetizer, onion rings, ribeye steaks and baked potato on metal platters, a tiny cup of prepackaged sour cream for the potato. Salad, bread basket, foil wrapped butter, relish tray, water glasses, cocktails....it was all there. As I moved my steak to the side of the table to eat my salad and hopefully enjoy the calamari appetizer, my eyes searched for our waitress. She was there, but suspiciously flitting around from table to table and never once acknowledging us. I was hoping to ask Abby K to put our steaks under a warmer for ten minutes so we could enjoy the salad and appetizer, but no such luck. Steaks and potato cooled off by the time I was ready to eat it, so main course went home in a box. After reading other Schwarz Supper Club reviews the next day, it appears this is their customary serving style. Apparently many fans find the "controlled chaos" here to be just wonderful. But it definitely is not for my DH and me. Food was average to good....nowhere near the raves as best supper club in Wisconsin by a long shot. Service at bar was excellent. AK, our server in the dining room, barely deserved the 10% tip we felt obligated to leave.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Very different dining environment. You enter at the bar area, sit and order a drink and peruse the menu. Waitress will come and take your dinner order and you continue to sit at the bar until your table is called when your food is ready. Then you move to your actual dining table and enjoy your meal.

Robin W.

Yelp
We arrived with a party of six. We were lucky to find a large semicircular booth in the bar area. This is where you relax, order a drink at the bar, and someone hands you a menu to peruse. While we greeted people we knew and visited, we enjoyed our drinks and decided what we wanted to order. A second round of drinks, and we were ready. When you stand your menus up, that is the signal for a server to come and take your orders, Once ordered, you can enjoy your drink for a brief period before they call your party's name and you are led to your table where your salad is waiting. The food was delicious and plentiful. Service, when needed, was prompt. Their desserts and ice cream drinks were terrific! We hope to visit again.

Stu F.

Yelp
Incredible! So I've been here once and really enjoyed the dinner. With high expectations I wasn't sure what to expect. Incredible! Let me say the old fashioneds were not muddled but excellent! Relish tray was very good and the salad with blue cheese was at least average but the Prime rib was outstanding! Then the coffee and the white chocolate blue berry cheese cake was to die for! The coffee was also excellent. Coming to the restaurant with high expectations and to have them raised- incredible!

Yelp
We were doing a Kettle Moraine color drive with our friends. We stopped at Schwartz's on October 19th for dinner. We arrived at 3:45 thinking we would beat the crowds, well not exactly. The parking lot was more than half full but we managed to get a table to view the menu and place our order. It seems a tradition there is to give a funny name for your group, I used Dracula. The place stated filling up right after that, we had cocktails and waiting to be called. It only took about 45 minutes to be taken to our table which already had our salad and bread. The food came about 15 minutes after we sat at our booth. Sufficient time to finish our salad without being rushed. We ordered Prime Rib, Walleye and the Sirloin tips ( pictured). All of the food was excellent and perfectly cooked as ordered. The meat was very tender and flavorful and the fish was excellent. I thought the pricing was reasonable as well. All of the staff seemed pleasant and attentive. When we left there were people outside waiting. All in all a pleasant experience and definitely glad we stopped there.

Yelp
Steaks and Kessler Old fashioned cocktails are the name of the game here. We've been dining here for roughly forty years, and we've never been let down. For a rural supper club to be the number one seller of Kessler whisky in the world is amazing. The prime rib for two is like a foot thick (looks like a roast). Haystack onion rings are a must. My wife and I love the sirloin for two it's really more like steak for four. Dinners include a bread basket with bread sticks that you have to try to believe as well as a vegy dish with carrots, radishes, green onions, midget pickles and those weird tiny ears of corn. This place is old school and I love it!

Andrew B.

Yelp
Excellent Wisconsin Supper Club specimen! Comfortable environment and just a warm welcome and inviting atmosphere to entertain guests from out of town. Easily one of my favorites... a top 5! Come in, get on the list, have a drink, place you order. You'll be seated at the time your food is ready. What an amazing experience. Service is amazing. They responded to any requests with graceful speed and execution.

J H.

Yelp
The supper club experience is so legit here. Walk in, get a drink, peruse the menu while having another drink, order your meal, have another drink or two and when your table is ready, sit down. By the time you have another drink and salad, your meal arrives. I have had the tenderloin as well as the prime rib cooked medium rare. Both are some of the best pieces of meat I have ever eaten. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and make sure you get the onion rings and mushroom medley. This place is not fancy, but the staff, food,, drinks and overall experience is amazing.

Joel C.

Yelp
Just unbelievable flavor! Best flavor on a piece of meat I've had in years! Don't think twice about road tripping for this classic supper club. Bartenders were excellent as well!

Mit M.

Yelp
Just excellent. The best supper club in Wisconsin without a doubt. You will love it

Rob D.

Yelp
When in the Elkhart Lake are this is a must visit restraint. Great old time supper club. Enter the large friendly and packed bar and enjoy a drink as you wait to be seated. The bartenders are competent and very attractive women. Not something I'd complain about. The menu is not overly complicated but when in Schwartz's order the prime rib. Even if you were enamored with the bartenders order the queen cut or plan on leftovers or splitting it. The portions are generous and the flavor delicious. The place is packed for a reason don't miss it.

Scott J.

Yelp
It's been on my supper club enthusiast hit list a long time. It was crazy busy as a place like this should be. Started with drinks and appetizers at the bar. Ordered to host and waited for our turn. Every entree was to die for. My ribeye was perfect. The service was good despite how absolutely busy they were. Everyone in our party shared our entrees just we all could see how good everything was. Closed the dinner with a right sized grasshopper. Was worth the hour drive. Highly recommended.

Tyler B.

Yelp
Here at the IMSA Road America race and everyone recommended this place. Had good drinks and food! Ordered the food while you waited and then they sat you down once your meal was finished. I ordered the Friday Fish dinner and it was solid. Potato's were solid! Also had a bite of others steaks and they were great. Really good!

Dave P.

Yelp
Three scallops Small Potato Wilty Salad Plain roll really loud atmosphere $28 no thank you

Bob P.

Yelp
This is very unique Wisconsin Supper Club The Prime Rib was truly Prime! One of the best I ever had The service here is second to none Anyone of the wait staff will be serving you during your meal If something is ready to go to the table whichever waiter or waitress is at the service counter will bring your item to your table No standing around while food gets cool because it's not their table It's all their tables This system works really well

Kaycee R.

Yelp
Food and drinks are always amazing! Fun atmosphere as well!! It does get a little crowded at times.

Damon D.

Yelp
Simply a classic when at Road America, a must go. The ambiance is simple and tidy Midwest, vibrant and lively patronage fill the cocktail lounge. Join the crowd, order a starter beverage and enjoy your company and others. When your ready the waitress will take your order for your group. Sit back, relax and when they call your real name or your fun stage/party name you'll be collected and brought to your set table with salads and apps in place. Enjoy ! As your finishing, your entree will be brought out and it's time for the main course. I would suggest any of the steaks and cuts as very time I've been the temp is correct. No Frills or mixologist here just good times and great food done right

James F.

Yelp
Sadly they don't make em' like this anymore and that's not implying an establishment past it's prime by any means. This is a well established and maintained restaurant that has a culinary aura of a dear old friend you have been missing for a while. Food : All the old supper club favorites are here and I can attest they do them the right way. This place cuts and ages all of their own beef and that attention to detail and expertise is something of a lost art, what isn't lost is the truly next level flavor and quality of their beef. You can pay more but you can't buy any better. Ambiance: Located in St. Anna (pop.est 395) this pastoral little town is surrounded by rolling hills and farm fields that seemingly set the mood for your arrival, but make no mistake this place brings them in from near and far(race days in nearby Elkhart lake can push waiting times to 2 hrs or more) . There's an almost roadhouse vibe and a collective experience that says "we're all in this little hidden hideaway together seeking great food and drink"....and they deliver. Service: Is that small town friendly feeling that says "welcome, have a seat and grab a drink we're so glad you stopped to visit" ... you can't fake it or teach it.

Joanna T.

Yelp
Schwarz's is worth the drive from Milwaukee if you like traditional Wisconsin supper clubs, giant pieces of prime rib, stiff drinks and friendly service. If you don't like those things, move back to IL, ok? So if you're going know that you need to get there EARLY. Like before 5pm on a weekend, or you'll be waiting a long time. There's also a system that's somewhat unique - you belly up to the long, curving bar and have a drink while you review the menu. Be warned that they make a mean old fashioned with lots of liquor - so be careful If you're driving. When you're ready to order, grab one of the ladies walking around - they'll announce your name over the loudspeaker when your table is ready. The dining room we were in was rather modern and bright - a bit of a surprise after coming in from the vintage bar. Salads and bread will be waiting for you and your food will arrive shortly thereafter. We opted for prime rib for 2 and received a slab of beef as thick as my hand - about 3lbs worth, served medium rare as requested. It comes with plenty of au jus but I found I preferred their creamy horseradish. Dinners come with a choice of starch (baked, fries, hash browns) but the focus is on delicious meat. Even though we were stuffed, we couldn't resist after dinner ice cream drinks (grasshopper for him, something very tasty called a "desperate housewife" for me). The staff and other patrons are friendly and welcoming. This is a first-class representation of a Wisconsin supper club. Highly recommend.

Nate S.

Yelp
I fly back from California for two reasons- to visit my parents, and to go to Schwarz's. The prime rib is incredible and the service staff is super friendly. Very authentic Wisconsin supper club experience and probably my favorite restaurant ever.

Scott H.

Yelp
Awesome supper club their perch is by far the best always disappointed if I go out for fish anywhere else so I now don't if I want fish I go here

Gary S.

Yelp
This is our fourth trip to Schwartzes, and to be honest it was not up to what the other three were unfortunately, the walleye that one of our party had voiced very fishy, and the good thing is that they replaced it immediately with something else the drinks are fabulous. It's a hoot and a half to go there. Make sure you stop.

Jake B.

Yelp
Best steak I've ever had. Great service. Would give this place more stars if possible.

Greg T.

Yelp
We drove almost an hour with friends and met a relative to eat here in the middle of a small town in east central Wisconsin. It is a typical supper club and very popular. We arrived at 5:15 on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. People go to the bar and order drinks, get a menus and place their order with a waitress and give a crazy name to get called when a table is ready. Even with all those people waiting, we were called to our table wishing 35 minutes and were shown to a table with salads on the table, a relish tray and bread and butter. Within 10 to 15 minutes, our food was presented to us on metal plates cooked to order. We ordered a porterhouse steak to share with my spouse and it was more than enough for us both,, although it was not the most render piece of meat, I the flavor was good. another in our party had a king cut prime rib which looked like it was a full inch think and medium rare, pink. The filet and rib steak were also good. You will get your fill of red meat by eating here.

Budo V.

Yelp
If you're expecting customers to wear masks then this isn't the place. There's no social distancing or masks Besides that the food was good. And as a asian couple we werent treated or getting the attention needed like the others around us. The staff will walk pass us and ask the couple behind us how they're doing if they need anything else walks pass us again to the booth behind my husband and ask them the same thing(Valentines weekend)

Julius S.

Yelp
This place was recommended to us by the guy we met at Osthoff resort. The place is packed when we got there. You sit in the bar or waiting table ( you can order drinks while waiting), the hostess will take your orders and will call you when your table is ready with your orders. The steak serving is huge, very tender and tasty. It melts in your mouth. Try to order medium or medium well not well-done. I don't have to use a steak sauce. Price is reasonable.

Mara B.

Yelp
Tonight we had good service and good food without an unGodly wait for arriving @ 4 pm. Had calamari in the bar with drinks. They truly are strong and the tap specials fresh. Calamari was not over cooked. I add lemon juice, but tasted the red sauce, which all four of us agreed seemed to be canned or jarred low level sauce. I've been here four times over the past 8 years. It's destination dining and it's fun to take the time. There have been moments not so great and some outstanding so good is a 3.5. The steaks were all cooked to desired temperature, which was an issue on past visits. The service was more attentive and we weren't rushed. They are popular with the locals and it's a lively atmosphere.

Kelly S.

Yelp
Precaution to the wind! If you want social distancing don't go here! You have to go thru the terribly crowded bar to get to your table. Their way of doing business is unique but seems effective. However, you don't connect with one wait staff you have many serving and checking on you. The salad awaits you as you arrive to your numbered table - it was warm, as was the relish tray. It seems it had been placed there for hours. The dressing requested was cold served in a plastic covered cup. Not supper club standard. The prime was very tasty and my husband ribs were good but nothing over the top! The potatoes were over cooked and again seemed like they had been sitting in a warmer for quite some time. We like to travel and visit the WI supper clubs - this one is just okay. It seems more family style than a supper club!

Tim S.

Yelp
Amazing bar. Amazing food. But don't expect a dinning experience. They take your order at the bar. When you sit down your salad and relish tray are on the the table. Two bits of salad and here comes my meal. 17 year old waiter say. "Can you move that." I said. "I don't wait on myself". He sat the steak down. Had to rearrange our table as no one came back to pick up any dishes. Never had A waitress per se. Never hit another glass of wine. Not gonna lie food was amazing but It's not a supper club. They want you in and out if there in under an hour So It's great fast food.

Tonya G.

Yelp
Great food, long wait. Have an old fashion and make friends. The food is worth the wait

Jeff S.

Yelp
Best prime rib I have ever had. Good service, as well. Well worth the drive, which was about an hour for me. Would highly recommend!!

G W.

Yelp
First time eating at the restaurant. Had the King cut prime rib. Excellent flavor and cooked perfectly to Medium rare. My wife had the Lobster. Next time will order two. One was pretty small. Great service and will celebrate our Anniversary next time.

Bryan S.

Yelp
The steaks are really good. If you are looking for a restaurant that is Taking the social distancing guidelines seriously, this may not be the place for you. Even though the sign on the window says you need to stay a cow (6ft apart) that's not how people are seated in the dining room and they definitely aren't doing that at the bar. Tables in the dining room are next to each other and they have not adopted the alternate table spacing that many other places are. If you are of the opinion that COVID is not that big of a deal, I would highly recommend you listen to anything that Dr. Michael Olsterholm has done recently. Really liked the food. The steaks were great even though they were just a little under. The baked potatoes have a nice crisp skin. The drinks were real good as well. Overall, were this not the time of a global pandemic, this would be five stars, but right now, it's only three.

Steve W.

Yelp
So everyone around here has fond memories of this place. My wife remembers coming frequently as a child and it was always great in her memory. So I think the reviews speak to the reputation of the establishment and don't represent the current quality of the food. I'll go over the oddities on seating and ordering later so I don't lose you. The salads were stale. Like they were made up the day before. They tasted like bag lettuce. The croutons were not made in house, and were stale. Any steakhouse chain has way better salads. We ordered sirloin steak for two and it was something like 55 dollars. It was cooked to the right temperature but that's all that was right. There was no sear on the steak. It was grey with a couple of grill marks. There was no seasoning at all. It was huge. Absolutely the largest, most expensive and the absolute worst steak I've every had. Ponderosa has better steaks. No kidding. The bread roll was good. Baked potato was just ok. Two stars is probably too many to be honest. So on to the rest. We arrived at 5:00. There is a crowded, dated and uncomfortable waiting area. They take your order right away with the idea that when you are seated you will be served quickly. You can order appetizers to eat in the waiting dungeon and the onion rings were really good. You can fight for a place at the bar to order drinks to take back to your table. They were good and reasonably priced. We waited 90 minutes to get seated. Apparently this is normal and everyone is cool with it but the awful food isn't worth waiting for. Another great feature is that everyone gets drunk in the dungeon. So when you get to your table it is so loud you can't have a conversation at your table. Loud, drunk dudes who are convinced they are hysterical and that everyone should hear them. I can't recommend this place on any level. Long wait. Average service. Terrible and very expensive food. I don't get how it keeps drawing a crowd. Fond memories from long time customers remembering a time when it was a great restaurant is my guess. Save your money. Go somewhere else. Anyplace else.

Cara H.

Yelp
We had the petite prime rib/grilled scallop meal and the king prime rib. Very generous portions and really good, especially the prime rib! Format is to order dinner at the bar then they call you into the dining room when your food is ready. We went early on a Sunday and didn't wait at all. Great bread and good relish tray. Breadsticks were excellent!

Giff C.

Yelp
Awesome. A menu that goes on forever. A staff devoted to getting your wishes fulfilled pronto. You want prime rib? You want walleye? Why not have both? Pro tip: Come hungry. A must on any visit to this corner of America.

Yelp
Really long wait to be seated in the dining area and it was very crowded but it was so worth it. Everything was amazing. Perfectly cooked steak, huge portions and great wine. Will go back whenever I'm in town.

Yelp
It doesn't get much better than Schwarz's Supper Club. In fact I'll come right out and say this is my favorite WI supper club. Hands down. Schwarz's is tucked away in the unincorporated community of St. Anna about 1 hour 25 minutes north of Milwaukee. I was first introduced to this gem by my aunt and uncle who live in area and have been back many times over the years. There isn't a hostess here, you belly up to the bar and start ordering drinks. At the bar they will ask if you're dining in this evening and will hand you menus to peruse. Schwarz's is known for their steaks. But the menu does offer a wide variety of other entrees and appetizers to sate your appetite. The bartenders will then send someone to you to take your order and your table name. Make it something fun because when your table is ready your name will be called over the loudspeaker. Confusing, sure. Unlike everywhere else, yes. Welcome to Schwarz's. On busy nights the wait can be well over an hour. And they make a strong old fashioned so pace yourself. Everyone is very nice and welcoming here. They will set your party up for an enjoyable evening. Once your table is ready you head toward the dining area where the cashier tells you your table number. Head to your table where you will find salad and bread waiting for you. A server will also stop by to check on you and make sure everything is going well. Be sure to place any additional drink orders if you can handle it. Shortly thereafter your meal (remember that meal you ordered) will be brought out for you. Dive in, it will be well worth the wait. I've never had a bad meal here. You'll likely be extremely full from your dinner but don't let that stop you from ending your night at the bar. The exact way you started but this time after dinner drinks are in order. The ice cream drinks are delicious and they run the spectrum from your standards to a few Schwarz's specials. If you enjoy WI supper club culture than Schwarz's should be on your short list of places to try.

Yelp
Middle of nowhere supper club that's worth the drive! Run like a super efficient assembly line, we arrived and had to be informed as to how the process works: You go to the bar and order your drinks, they will hand you menus (along with your drinks), and you will go find a table to sit down at. After looking through the extensive menu and deciding on what you want to order, you stand up your menu on the table. Then a waitress will come and take your order and get a name from you. A few minutes later, our name was called and we were shown to our table. There was a relish tray (of course), bread basket, and a salad was brought out as well. We had at least eight different employees attend to our table of five, and they were all helpful and friendly. The food was great and you can't beat their $3.20 old fashioned!
