Ice-cold draft beer and the best fried calamari I’ve had in Turin! The owner himself welcomed us and was incredibly attentive and friendly. A cozy spot with great flavors — we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

On Christmas Eve, I traveled to Turin and was frustrated to find that most restaurants were closed. However, I randomly stumbled upon this restaurant, walked in and found delicious food ,fresh seafood and vegetables with reasonable price and really friendly staff. It truly saved my day.

The review is a couple of weeks late, but I wanted to take my time to write about the food and ambience, instead of writing a one-liner. We actually loved the place and the food so much that we went for the second time, even though we were in Turin for only about four days. The place was very child-friendly, as we had our 14-month-old daughter with us. We ordered the same combination of food that we had previously gone for, and the quality was just amazing again. We also had the privilege of meeting the owner of the restaurant, Enzo, who was such an amazing guy. I couldn’t help but notice that he was personally looking after all the clients to make sure everyone was happy with the food and service. All in all, it was a great experience! And yes, I would also recommend the chocolate place that Enzo suggested! I'm sure he will be pleased to give you the details :)

This is an amazing restaurant. The seafood is incredible. It's clearly much loved by locals which is always a good sign. The staff are absolutely delightful and the food delicious. It's a simple venue and brilliant value. Cannot recommend it too highly.

Seated outside but gazebo was old and the whole area looked a bit tatty. We stayed as the reviews looked good. We shared a frito misto, very small prawns and other bits, poor quality. We had fried courgette flowers very greasy and the batter was too thick. Service was very friendly and efficient.

Stayed at Grand Hotel Sitea, rainy night and wanted something local but nearby. About a 10 minute walk here. I had googled restaurants and came based on reviews. Did not disappoint at all. Whole family loved it. Tiramisu was delicious! Friendly waiter and could pay on AMEX which is always a plus for us. Would certainly recommend.

The place gets quite busy around lunch time (1pm) so we booked early and was able to find a table. The food was great, especially the mixed fried seafood as starter. However, they need to take better care of the furnitures and the surroundings. The tables are jammed in together with almost no room to even get out when all seats are taken. The bathroom tap wasnt working. We even saw a cockroach on the wall walking right next to us. For the price they charge, I believe a better maintenance can be afforded.

Yelp
I am reviewing this place after visiting five years ago in 2015. We are returning to Torino for a week in September and I wanted to make sure it was still open. Juno and Jupiter be praised that he indeed is. I don't remember what we ate, but I do remember us being utterly floored by how good it was. So much so that in a four day stay, we came for our evening eats TWICE. The owner is one of those happy, lucky few who truly loves what he does for a living (and extremely good as well) and it is so evident in the food he serves. Heed the words of the first reviewer Crystal. Personally, I think it's the best food north of Napoli and that includes that wonderful arena of gluttony, Bologna. If you goto Torino, go here. If only all of life were that simple.

Yelp
GO HERE. You'll be so happy you did. If you're in Turin (or Milan, or Bergamo,or Parma, or anywhere within a train distance), this is the place you MUST VISIT. The food was blissful. We had the fried fish mixed plate, the house-made ravioli with shrimp, the octopus with potato and it was all so good. As foodie tourists, my husband and I have travelled in most of Italy's big cities (Rome, Florence, Milan, the Lake District) sampling the best restaurants we could find on TripAdvisor, Yelp and the Michelin guide. I can say with certainty that this one, A6 Sciamadda is my number one favorite. Mauro, the chef and owner, delights guests with the flavors of his hometown near the sea. And the wonderful host (I'm sorry I can't spell his name) shares the story of the dish as well as the wine he recommends. This is not simply a meal. It is an experience. You may enter hungry, but you will leave with the happy glow of having spent an hour with a new friend. As travelers, we all know how it is. You search reviews. You look at maps. Over and over, we ask ourselves the same question: Will this be worth it? Worth our time, our money and our travel energy spent to get there. After a quick day-trip to Turin during our Milan vacation, I can promise you that it is totally worth it. In fact, if you begin by eating at A6 Schimada, you may find that, like me and my husband, you change your travel plans and book your next visit to stay here instead.
