Science Club

I've only been to Science Club once, but in general I liked it. I went for happy hour with colleagues after work, and it was fine. Nothing to get too excited about it, but not bad either. At first, we went into the subterranean part of the bar, and it seemed really gloomy, so we opted to go upstairs instead, which was a little better. We sampled the hummus, the tofu skewers, the maison frites, and the tortilla pizza. Everything but the tofu skewers was really tasty. (Note: I'm a big fan of tofu when done right.) The bartender was friendly and quirky, which was nice. Science Club probably isn't ideal for a large group like ours was, but overall I would definitely go back.

Relaxing atmosphere to be social or have a meeting. Simple but quite tasty vegetarian bar food with a very nice choice of beers. A really nice mix of people with multiple floors.

I have to admit, I'm not a huuuuuge fan of Science Club. It is okay and it's nice to have another more upscale offering (upscale in comparison to the others closest by such as Rumors and Madhatter) in the area, but definitely not at the top of my list. The drinks are on the pricier side, the crowd fluctuates between fun and too pretentious too much from night to night, and it lacks a distinct personality to draw me to wanting to come back. When do I end up there? When there's an event... when friends pull me out there... otherwise, I opt for other locations

Rowhouse-turned-bar with a geeky vibe. The drinks and food are what you'd expect from any DC bar -- slight variation on something normal but with a clever name -- but the atmosphere is unique. Drinks are served in beakers, there are posters of Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Carl Sagan, and so on, and the clientele are anything but the usual consultants and lobbyists crowd. Expect more dyed-blue hair than suits and ties, and music that's quiet enough that you can carry on a conversation (about science, of course) at a normal volume.

Cool ambiance. All veggie food. I had the chips and guacamole. It was ok. Lots of it but not spicy or unique. My friend had the the veggie burger and she said it was kind of done.

This place has a really great (and well-priced) happy hour. The vibe is intimate, the indoor decor is cool, and there is even a patio to enjoy the outdoors. I only wish that this was a better night spot, because the combination of overpriced drinks, lack of patrons, and an empty dance floor in the far back is confusing.

Excellent atmosphere and delicious food. I've been here several times at the recommendation of friends, and the vegi burger is amazing. You will not be disappointed. The prices are very reasonable as well.

AmAzing veg-based food with tons of vegan options... Friendly staff and mad my last nite in DC extra special... Go check this place out if you're 21+ NUF LOVE!!
