Scilly Spirit Distillery ran by Art and Hillary is an excellent couple paired with an amazing distillery, we made our own gin with an array of information about the islands and how the gin was originated. Also paired with tasting the gin too! I would definitely recommend coming here if you like your gins and if you want to make your own! Thank you Art for making this experience amazing and good fun, hope to be back soon!

We attended the fantastic gin school. A very comprehensive experience and tour. You start by Art (the owner) explaining the roles of botanicals and the process of distilling. You then create your own gin from a wide selection of botanicals and use your very own still. Art then provides you with a double Island G and T and takes you through the tasting notes. Art then leads you out the back and shows you where the magic happens with their own distilling process and their history. Once your gin is distilled, you bottle up, label it and finish with a G and T of your very own making. The whole experience is great and worth every penny.

Really welcoming and accommodating, allowing us to have an extra person over there usual participants in the brewery tour run by the husband of the husband and wife team of owners. He was very knowledgeable and explained how they started off and the meaning behind all the choices they made to the botanicals used and the packaging created. It was great to get a sample of how they prefer their gin to be served, and also to see how they can produce such a high quality gin in such a limited space, with clear consideration for how to also be eco-friendly. Came away with two of their limited production gins not readily available on the mainland, and a better appreciation of what a product it is, and a dedicated team they are.

I was bought a gin school session for a present last year, to use on our holiday August 2023. I attended with my daughter, and we were warmly welcomed by Art, the owner of the distillery. The three hour session flew by, and we learned so much about the distillery process whilst creating our very own gin. Art and his wife are clearly very passionate about their business, and have succeeded in creating four beautiful gins, with their first ever whisky that is maturing in a barrel, ready for 2024. Our session cumulated in bottling our gin, and sampling what was left over. I have to say, me and my daughter were delighted with the taste, and can order further bottles of our unique recipe in future. I would wholeheartedly recommend the gin school. To learn about the history of Scilly and the personal stories that have shaped the botanics used (a nod to 102 year old grandma) were a lovely touch. And well done to Art's wife, for having the 'crazy idea' of starting her own distillery 😊

Exceptional gin making experience! Me & my partner planned our IoS holiday and found this gin experience, the date we wanted wasn't on the website so I emailed them and they kindly made space for us on a day to suit us. On the day of the experience, we were struggling to find accommodation due to our flight potentially being cancelled, Art was so understanding and made us forget about worries and focus on the experience, he also helped us getting in touch with places to stay, AND gave us a lift to the airport! The experience it self was amazing, you get to choose what ingredients you want with guidance of choices, we got to taste the gin whilst distilling, which in itself is unique. We were given their delicious gin to try, shown around the distillery and given the history. It was all SO fascinating and I am in awe of Art and his wife, both are incredible people and I wish them the very best. THANK YOU!

Such a great day! We did the did the school and throughly enjoyed it. Art was clearly passionate and knowledgeable the gin making process. I have done many gin tours and tastings but this was by far the best experience not only do you get to make your own gin but but you get to learn so much about the gin making process & and get to drink gin what more could you want!

A fantastic return to the Gin School! An exceptional experience for anyone remotely interested in gin. Expertly choreographed by Art to make the three hours pass with a flood of facts and hands on distilling.

The Gin School was an amazing experience and the knowledge and guidance given by Arthur was entertaining, very professional and complete. Above all the gin tasted wonderful! I really recommend this experience to anyone who loves gin. Thank you so much Art.
