Scoops Artisan Ice Cream & Dutch Pancakes

When visiting Caernarfon, we stopped by and had an ice cream as they looked amazing. We are so glad we did. It was absolutely gorgeous. They have different/unique flavours comparing to other places, and they were really good. The prices are quite reasonable as well. We spot other places selling ice cream and none looked as good as this one. If you are in the area, you should try it

We visited the cafe 27th of August, myself, My husband and my son. When we arrived, the cafe was pretty busy. It was advised that we could reserve the next vacant table and come back in 10/15 minutes and that was exactly what we did. On arrival we were seated, ordered our drinks and were advised there would be a 30 minute wait if we ordered pancakes. I was happy to be advised of the waiting time and for us the wait was no problem. The pancakes were really good (savoury), worth the wait, my only disappointment was not having enough room left for a sweet pancake! The main reason for the review was to give credit to the lovely staff, they were brilliant, hard working, informative, helpful and really friendly, nothing was to much trouble. It makes all the difference to be made to feel welcome. It's small and popular cafe, so, where possible, a bit of flexibility doesn't go a miss. Thanks again xx

Excellent pancake shop with a brilliant range of options, lovely atmosphere (indoor and outdoor seating). Brilliant value, especially the kids menu which included a pancake, drink, and ice cream. Great gluten free options available.

Craving for ice cream when passing by this beautiful street and couldn’t stop myself when found Scoops. Very nice place and amazing pancakes smell just pushing you to grab it but I already had my lunch so leave it for next time. Really enjoyed white chocolate special which was particularly good. Also dog friendly and plenty of seatings.

Stopped here for an ice-cream passing by and it was lovely! The girl who served us was so friendly and attentive, she checked the flavours I wanted for me to check they were gluten free before I ordered which I really appreciated! Brilliant ice-cream and lovely atmosphere, thank you!

Food was outstanding. We loved it. Did feel it was quite expensive for 1 pancake. There did not seem to be enough staff to run the restaurant with the amount of customers there were. It looked like everyone was run off their feet and just to busy to focus on customer service. We had to wait 40+ minutes for a pancake each. It was like they were not equipped to deal with larger groups arriving.

Plenty of ice cream & smoothie options, very friendly staff who will let you try some of the unique flavours. Great selections of vegan friendly ones and also a doggy mint ice cream and treats on the side. Sadly no seating as it was a rainy day, so I can’t comment on the decor. I enjoyed the raspberry sorbet and the pineapple smoothie.

We always enjoy visiting scoops. The staff are always so lovely and patient, especially while the little ones take their time choosing! My recommendation is raspberry ripple. Every visit we’re always made to feel welcome. Highly recommended!

Lovely spot for a cone or cup of tea. The toffee ice cream is particularly delicious. Highly recommended after climbing the towers of Caernarfon.

A lovely shop in a lovely, very British street, close to the castle. The shop-owners are a Dutch couple, the man is running the kitchen, the women makes the ice, talk with the costumers. They living in the UK for a while now, but the shop is just open since May of 2013. The atmosphere is what the Dutch call 'Gezellig' (may can translate as cozy of welcoming and friendly). In the showcase you can find the real Dutch Syrup, which a lot of Dutch people love to have on their pancakes. It is November and at the end of the day (after 5 pm) and their are still customers in this shop.What they are selling is really Dutch: Pancakes and Dutch Syrup, but also very good Artisan Ice Cream!! And if you sit down, you can eat home made soup with bread. If you're around, go to this shop for something cold, or hot and enjoy!

Fantastic pancakes and coffee, service was excellent from all staff. Kids meal was excellent value
