I wanted to book a suite for me and my son for our vacation in the redwoods. The person we talked to was unbelievably rude and rushed us off the phone like it was too hard to answer a few questions we had about the property. It felt as if we were an inconvenience and they didn’t want to try to book us. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The website said it’s family owned.. if this is how a family opens up their place and treats people I can only imagine what the property itself looks like. I’d rather pay more and be respected.

Stayed at the Selah house, it was clean, guest ready, and even came with bottles of wine. The staff checked in during my stay and I would stay again, there is value here. Close to the beach access and well designed and well kept.

The people that run this place DAP PROPS LLC are horrible people they will try and scam you. They pretend to be good people but they scammed my family out of money. Their properties are not cleaned well at all. I don’t even think they wash the bed sheets it was so gross.

Pebble suite||This can be a nice place to stay if you are willing to accept the negative points noted. Just make sure to get the price in writing before your stay.||Cons ||1- Price changed after checkout and was nearly twice the price quoted on the website. The owner doubled down on the higher price rather than try to discuss a compromise. For the record if she had compromised I would have been willing to split the difference. In the end she lost the whole contested amount.|2- This unit is not for someone with mobility impairment. To access the unit there are steps up the porch leading to a patio door as the only entrance. The bed is very high. Beach access is down a long and crumbling staircase without a railing.|4- In June the house just outside of the bedroom window was being renovated. Very loud construction work began early in the morning.|5- The toilet randomly blocked without solid material being left in the bowl. ||Pros||1- You can see a peek of the ocean on the other side of the main road if you are in the right place in the front room. When traffic and construction work dies down you can hear the ocean.|2- Good access to some beautiful day trips in the redwoods.|3- The manager was pleasant and responsive.|4- Dedicated free parking in front of the unit.|5- Comfortable mattress and sheets. Nice amenities in the shower. Charming décor.

A wonderful experience at this property. We stayed in the Pebble Suite. It was very clean with tasteful modern decor, comfy bed, beach towels, basic kitchenware and easy parking. Plus of course the beautiful views, lovely sea air and short walk to Pebble Beach. Perfect for two people. Cons: We couldn’t get the TV to work, the kitchen is not sufficient for real cooking and the reservation process was a bit clunky. But these were not important things for us, so five stars it is!

This place is a hidden gem! The location to the Redwoods and the Pacific are amazing. Ocean views from the home. We rented the entire scopa house including the garden suite. It was super clean. Emily and Patti were so accommodating! The fresh flowers that they have growing in the garden added a fragrant beautiful touch to the home! If we are ever back in the area we will certainly get this home again.

My husband and I stayed in the Garden 'suite' in July 2023. It is just across the street from beautiful views of the ocean. And that's all the good there is. I believe there is a lot of false or misleading advertising on the website. The properties no longer offer bed and breakfast. This was no suite. It is a single, small room with a queen bed, a microwave and dishes, and a bathroom, all attached to the main house. Another family was in the main house and we could easily hear them, as I am sure they could hear us. We could not get into the lock box by either of the codes provided, and Emily, the manager had to come and give us a key. All of this would have been doable (though not really acceptable) had the place been clean. However, the bedroom portion was very dirty. The floors had a visible, smeary substance on them that when wiped came up black. There were a few hairs in the sheets. Pieces of the place definitely required some maintenance, such as the tv shelf falling off, and fixtures on the sink requiring attention. We spoke of our concerns to Emily, the manager, who was a very nice ambassador for the Scopa Properites. She offered a discount, but in the end did not quite provide the full discount offered. Either way, discount or no, I would rather stay in a motel 6 than a Scopa Property ever again.

I loved this place it was calm and quiet, and The location is right by the redwoods and the Ocean. 4 beautiful rooms, 4 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, lounge. Beautiful view of the ocean. Great restaurants nearby and activities.

Yelp
review My elderly parents booked a cabin at White Rock over the phone with a host named Estee, that apparently is not associated with the resort and runs bookings privately for some of the cabins. My dad booked cabin 11. This cabin needed a lot of updating and repairs. The dishwasher did not work, the hot water only lasted for 3 minutes, the paint was missing on walls and the deck was also in bad shape. The bathroom floor was rotting away. The decor was shabby and the cabin needed a deep cleaning. Carpets were disgusting. The fridge froze our food. Many of the light fixtures were missing bulbs or the bulbs were dead. My parents and I were very disappointed in this cabin as it was over $400/night. My dad called during the stay to make complaints and the host did not call back. He made several other attempts to contact her to request at least partial refund and she never called him back. See photos.

Yelp
Beautiful stay in Crescent City to start off our long pacific NW road trip. The room we had was furnished beautifully at the top floor of the house with an amazing ocean view and we had a wonderful breakfast. Our hosts, Irene and Jose, were so kind and genuinely loved sharing time with us and chatting -- it was a nice way to feel at home away from home and reconnected in this crazy post Covid world. The room was very private though and we felt like we had our own run of the place in the suite above.

Mandip R.

Yelp
Location is right by the water, it's perfect. Home was well kept and we had no issues. The hosts were very sweet about letting us extend our stay, highly recommend.

Yelp
This place is so outstanding! The views are so lovely and it's a quick walk to the beach. The house is so cozy and inviting. Laura is such a fabulous cook. She really went the extra mile on doing everything she could to ensure we had a wonderful time here. It's decorated beautifully with a lot of attention to detail. We're definitely coming back to stay here!

Celeste H.

Yelp
The House was spotless. The beds were comfortable and the neighbor hood is friendly and quiet. The waves of the Pacific Ocean crash right across the street.

Debbie B.

Yelp
So clean, it couldn't feel anymore like home. Beautiful, Laura the inn keeper is THE BEST cook! Can't wait to go back!

Sharon A.

Yelp
This location is beautiful n relaxing. Open the windows n slider and You hear the ocean waves ... but not too Much. That is what won me over - from 4 star to 5 star. We had the Pebble rooms at Seaview. we will be back.

Kyle E.

Yelp
Nice place. Food was amazing each morning. Great views. But just a warning: there's no central AC or heat for the entire building. Only a portable heater and a very small floor fan in each room. I was too warm each night and could do nothing to cool the room down.

Roger B.

Yelp
We had our annual staff retreat and planning meeting at the Seaview House. It was a great meeting space and 3 of our staff couples were able to stay at night. An incredible space to relax and plan with the beautiful view of the ocean with all of the amenities.

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Scopa is an amazing place. It's beautiful inside and out. I would recommend it to anyone coming through Crescent City.

Bob L.

Yelp
Excellent accusations, friendly staff and superb location. We will be back!!! We enjoyed a relaxing vacation at SCOPA and very thankful for the experience.

Yelp
My Wife and I stayed here 2 nights during our travels and greatly enjoyed our stay. The innkeeper Deborah is wonderful, when we left it felt like saying farewell to a good friend. Her breakfasts were delicious and she accommodates guests needs very well. We also appreciated her dining and hiking recommendations. As for the property itself, the shared living areas (2 sitting areas and kitchen) are large and open with modern furnishings and lots of natural light. Our room (Ocean Blue) wasn't large, but was comfortable and clean with a nice view. Our bathroom was large and modern/clean. The beach is just a few minute walk from the property and is gorgeous at sunset. There are also amazing redwood areas a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Kim E.

Yelp
What an amazing experience! Deborah the host is wonderful and so welcoming. Scopa is located on Pebble Beach Drive overlooking the ocean gives you spectacular views. I will definitely plan on staying here again. You should also look into their second location Seaview! It's also a great place to stay.

Tammy G.

Yelp
Great place to stay!! Caretakers are wonderful people. Breakfast was so good. The beach is across the street. We will be staying here the next time we visit.

Lee W.

Yelp
The perfect getaway place, right across from the ocean. We could lie in our bed and watch the sunset over the water and listen to the waves crashing on the store. Entire house is so tastefully decorated my wife kept taking pictures to remind her of what she wanted to do in our next house. And then to top it off, Deborah is a world class hostess. So welcoming, and a great cook. Mouthwatering blueberry waffled with delectable lemon syrup. If you are ever in this area, you MUST stay at Scopa!!

Michael H.

Yelp
This B&B is by far the best place to stay while in the Crescent City area. Don't even bother to consider another B&B or hotel; it would be a waste of your time. We stayed in the Whale Horizon Spa Suite with a great view of the ocean and, at night, you fall asleep to the soft sounds of the ocean waves. Bed was very comfortable and kitchen/baths are well stocked. A very pleasant stay.

Craig D.

Yelp
Cute little B&B with amazing view of the ocean. Rooms are small but comfortable. Deborah is the innkeeper, who was extremely friendly and helpful. She makes breakfast for you in the mornings and offers all kinds of advice for local places to eat or do. Such a fun experience.

Amy B.

Yelp
Gorgeous sea views. Immaculate property. Friendly inn keeper. Love that they serve wine!

Reid P.

Yelp
We stayed here in the new Seaview house with our staff and had a wonderful time. All the little details have been accounted for and the decor is beautiful. We liked having the whole place to ourselves so we had our own rooms to sleep in but had a common meeting place. Wonderful place!

Bill B.

Yelp
Great stay and fantastic location. Our room was wonderful and the Inn keeper did a fantastic job welcoming us, putting out wine and cheese in the evening as well as a superb breakfast. A wonderful place. I could stay there forever.

Yelp
I was determined to stay in Crescent City, Ca and searched and searched for weeks. Did my research and came upon Scopa at the Sea. I went back and fourth and decided to email the owner to ask questions. She was courteous and more than willing to accommodate my family of 5. I decided to book the Fern suite and it is everything I expected and more!!! It's clean, the bed and sheets are clean, the counters are clean, the bathrooms. Everything! I usually carry Lysol wipes with me and wipe down hotels (because you never know)The decor is beautiful, smells clean (new). The location is everything! I will recommend this place to everyone and plan to return for my next family vacation.

Marie D.

Yelp
Beautiful property with lovely views of the ocean. Deborah, the caretaker, cooks breakfast and snacks from scratch. Everything we tasted was delicious. (She even shared a recipe with me, which was very sweet). The house was peaceful and warm and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Beautiful little inn located in crescent city. We were only able to stay one night, but I wish that we could have stayed longer. Very clean and brand new. Very relaxing to just sit on the front porch and enjoy the sound and view of the ocean.

Janeen A.

Yelp
Wish I could give them 10 stars. Stayed in the Pebble Suite in the Seaview house. This place is brand new and beautifully furnished. Plenty of space with thoughtful details like a flashlight for a night walk on the beach. Beach is right across the street. Stayed only one night. Wish it were a week. Great stopping point on the way to the Redwoods.

Martin H.

Yelp
Scopa is an amazing find in Crescent City. Don't be put off by the fee ratings. Scopa has three rooms and has only been open for 3 years. If you can get in, book it. Deborah the Innkeeper lived on premises and takes care of every little thing. She is an outstanding chef. Beer and wine reception in the evening watching the sun set over the ocean. Hey, I live at the beach and I never tired of this. Gourmet, scratch made breakfast to start the day. The rooms are all beautiful and individually decorated tastefully. All the charm of a throw back craftsman beach house only it's all new from their recent total remodel. A special place you won't soon forget.

Yelp
My favorite B & B ever! Five star all the way. We were greeted by our hosts with a glass of wine, interesting conversation, and a gorgeous panoramic view of the ocean. When we returned from dinner, Laura had homemade gluten free (my husband has a wheat allergy) cookies waiting for us. The home and our room were beautifully appointed and we enjoyed the same view from our bedroom. In the morning, Laura had a delicious breakfast waiting for us and Richard was very helpful with suggestions and maps for our continuing travels. Can't rave enough about Scopa's - exceeded all my expectations.cathig@m

Yelp
A gem on the beautiful coast! We were in the whale room after a 3 day rafting trip on the rogue river. The inn is filled with natural light, gorgeous original art & the bowling lane dining table was my favorite!A more perfect respite has never been seen! Deborah prepared a delicious breakfast & made our stay lovely. We hope to return next time we're on the west coast!

Yelp
This was my first visit to Scopa. I was there on business. I wish I was there for fun, because Debbie was so sweet, accommodating and hospitable. She makes the best blueberry waffles with lemon syrup!! The home and decor is absolutely beautiful! The view is absolutely breath taking. So sad I couldn't stay longer to REALLY enjoy it. I can't wait to come back for some relaxing fun.

Daniel K.

Yelp
All I can say is WOW! What a treat! Deborah was a great hostess. The owners Scott and Patty came by and served wine and cheese from the local area. The sleeping accommodations were more than AMAZING and COMFORTABLE. The views were to die for... I slept to the sound of the ocean and then ate a killer breakfast served up by Deborah. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. I will definitely be back...

Bill L.

Yelp
One of the nicest B&B we have stayed at. Very well kept, clean and wonderfully appointed. Very if the Pacific was special. Breakfast featured a sausage casserole with many side items. One a nice place stay here!

Kim L.

Yelp
A true gem. When you find a B&B like this...you just want to move in! Add Deborah's homemade sourdough bread and it's heaven. Lovely inn, fabulous views and incredibly comfortable rooms. Thanks for the amazing stay.

Karen M.

Yelp
Serendipity brought us here, and we were so lucky to find them! They accommodated us last minute after a Long drive. This place is a hidden gem, has not been open very long, but I'm sure will become a popular end destination. We also had the "seal song" room with a beautiful view of Castle Rock and the shore. Amazing! We went to sleep with the sound of the surf and faint seals calling in the distance. Very romantic! We missed the afternoon wine and cheese because we were so late, but breakfast the next morning was well prepared by Deborah and ready by 8:30... French toast made with homemade sourdough bread, fresh blueberry sauce and sliced peaches and a poached egg. Very tasty! This home has been well-crafted, exquisitely decorated, and kept very clean. I only wish it was closer to us than Crescent City. You won't be disappointed! I am so glad we didn't stay at one of the impersonal high-rises in town... Nothing could've topped Scopa at the Sea!

Michelle W.

Yelp
What a great find!!!! This place was clean, beautiful and Deborah the inn keeper was the best!!! She cooked some wonderful food!!! We will be back!!!

Laurie S.

Yelp
Scopa at the Sea is a beautifully decorated, ultra clean and perfectly situated B&B in Crescent City! Our innkeeper was friendly, professional, and cooked us the most delicious hot breakfast in the morning. The view of the ocean from our bedroom was stunning and to hear the ocean waves crashing at night lulled us into a restful slumber. All in all we had a delightful experience! Thank you Scopa!!

Katherine S.

Yelp
Lovely B&B! Relaxing and comfortable rooms with ocean views from all windows! Debbie the inn keeper is very friendly and accommodating. Wonderful breakfast. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax by the Ocean

L B.

Yelp
Great B&B. Stayed in the Whale Suite upstairs, view of the ocean was great. Can hear the waves. The traffic going by wasn't as bad as I anticipated, easily overlooked by the great details of this refurbished B&B. Deborah, the inn keeper is genuinely accommodating and friendly.
