I entered the shop several days ago (11/8/21) cuz I happened to be hanging out on Abbott Kinney and the clothes styles look attractive. This is our first visit. After looking around, I didn’t find anything that suits me. On my way out of the store, I said “thank you” to the only staff there. To my surprise, she used a “snob” strategy and ignored me. We were 2 feet away and the store was very quiet, there was no other excuse that can explain this. Not sure this is how the store trains their staff to adopt this strategy and pressure people to spend money, or the store didn’t recruit the right people. 2 stars but not 1 star, the extra star gives it the styles of the clothing. The credits go to the designers. The awful staff just screwed the shopping experience though. [Updates] I emailed the managers and received an apology. So I believe it is not a sale strategy but more of the staff's own problem.

Scotch & Soda is the most fun place to shop in Venice. The very personable Carter happily puts my own clothes in the bag, and I walk out in new clothes almost every time i go because i am that excited about what i find there. He has a fresh and whimsical, but seriously sexy selection of really good-looking styles that simply make you feel great!

I recently discovered this store. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I like the stuff they have and the price is reasonable too given the quality of clothing.

Cool trendy Amsterdam-based clothing chain. Like the staff here. Very friendly. Often have good discounts on some of the latest styles.

This is one of my favorite clothing shops. I hope that they continue to offer such wonderful products.

I am a frequent visitor and customer of scotch and soda. I love coming to this particular location because the people here are always very pleasant. Today I was helped by Christina. She is a jewel to the company she did not mind giving me her opinion she was very helpful and did not try to over sell. She's definitely a keeper. I enjoyed her help. I promised to come back on Friday to take advantage of the new items especially the linen collection. Today I bought a beautiful shirt and I wore it out.

Horrible service, the lady at the register would not get off her phone and the other guy working in the store would not even come over and offer assistance. They should automate the store and make it self serve, and use the money they are paying in salaries to help the underserved communities.

Scotch & Soda is a cool store, especially if you like to see what this brand has to offer in person vs. online. I personally have a hard time seeing the value in high-priced fashion and think everything here is horribly expensive. With that said, I cam close to buying a jacket that I really, really liked. That's how cool their clothes are. Bonus points because this is one of the better places to browse on Abbot Kinney. If you're perusing the storefronts and want a place to kill time, this is one of the spots I suggest.

The Abbot Kinney location is about 5x larger than the Beverly Hills store, but there isn't much more of a selection with the added space. Great clothes and who doesn't like to hang out on Abbot Kinney? The staff at the Beverly Hills store is more attentive and a lot friendlier, in general, likely due to the smaller, more intimate setting.

I had forgotten about Scotch & Soda's amazing designs until yesterday when I came across the store while wandering Abbot Kinney with a friend. We wandered in on a whim and ended up looking through the entire store for good while. We were probably being quite loud shuffling through the racks and exclaiming how cute and amazing all the clothes were. My friend found a couple jackets she wanted her b/f to try and called him to head over. If it weren't for the fact that the sizes run really big for me for this brand, I'd probably be super broke..like couple hundreds of dollars. I got some cool sparkly shirts and a very adorable beret with pins on sale. The staff are nice and very helpful. One guy came by and asked if I had questions when I was trying stuff on and assured me the shirts I picked out were supposed to be a looser box fit. Only thing is I wish their sweaters came in slimmer sizes because they make some of the cutest, nicest sweaters ever.

i bought a dress on line as a gift, which i had to return, i took it to the store and they would not take it back, they gave me a a fed ex envelope and told me to ship it back to the company, however they failed to let me know that i had to pay for shipping to return the item, till this day which is more than two weeks that they have received the item, i still have not gotten my refund.. you cannot even talk to customer service, the phone just rings without being connected to anyone.. i don't recommend buying anything on line, cause you will have a long wait for your refund..

Found the staff to be particularly unpleasant, especially one of the girls that works there. She expressed her "pet peeve" which she said out loud in front of me to her co-worker right after picking up the clothes that didn't fit me. When her co-worker asked what her pet peeve was she responded she will tell him in a few minutes because she didn't want to say whatever she was going to say in front of me. I understand that the nature of this job may not fit her personality but found it very unprofessional. Whatever I was going to take decided not to at the end due to poor customer service experience.

I love this store and as a local Venetian I've been shopping here for years. Today I had a very unpleasant experience with the two female staff working in the store. Right when my friends and I walked in we were greeted by an employee and I responded "hello." She replied, "I said HI HOW ARE YOU" with an angry tone like she was upset we didn't respond to her greeting? I then said "I said hello when I walked in" in a nice tone but she seemed upset. My friends were immediately turned off and wanted to leave but I convinced them to look around. I found something to try on so I asked the other female employee if we were able to try clothes on (because of Covid not all stores are allowing customers in the fitting rooms). She said yes and then with an attitude said "do you want me to start a fitting room for you or are you going to try it on." Again, she also had the most unpleasant tone and demeanor it made us want to leave immediately. Why would she give me attitude asking if I can try on something? I understand people have bad days but BOTH employees were so unpleasant my friends said they would never step foot in this store again. Bad customer service for the store just reopening.

Carter, the manager is awesome! The staff is friendly and helpful. I like shopping at S&S Venice. Is fun and I feel welcomed.

Shopped the store last weekend with my bud. The scene was fresh and the workers were super friendly. One of the stylists helped my bud pick out some dope woven pants that look like PJ's unless you roll them up past the ankle and sport them the right gear. Anyhow, cool experience. Beautiful store. My husband and I were walking down the street and came across this store. I instantly fell in love with the colorful print clothes. I spent about and hour trying on various pieces and so did my husband. A short guy with a faux hawk was very helpful and took his time with us. He looked very cute with his bow tie and made my husband laugh. I will definitely be back.

I visited the store yesterday to see what I could get in person before shopping on their online store. First off, the location is fantastic, with even more shopping and smaller restaurants in the area to jump to if you want. The stores interior was fanatic. The layout, albeit could've had more merchandise per square foot but I also liked the way it had a selection of things out which lent itself to not overcrowding the space. The sales associates; Devin at this location helped me, were friendly and willing to help you if you didn't see your size on the rack or a specific item out. Even if he didn't have the item he assured me the website had it and told me when they'd be getting a new collection in. At the checkout counter I was in the process of getting a pair of jeans, when I said something about a t-shirt I saw but it wasn't in my size on the rack, now, mind you my card was thru and all I had to do was my pin. He said, "Hit the red button and I'll be right back with your size!" He headed into the back and came out with the t-shirt and more shirts in my size. I looked them over and asked about pricing and he didn't BS me when it came to picking the one I wanted over the others, especially one that was about $20 more than the one I like and has less design elements to make it more unique. He winked and said, "I'd go with the one you liked, it's much more interesting." I really enjoyed his honesty because I can't stand when I go into any store and try to get talked into buying something more expensive yet simpler than what I had wanted just for the sake of "fashion." He began the transaction process again and I really appreciated this, as they were starting to get a bit more crowded than when I went before. I loved the store as a whole, the sales associates were fantastic and willing to help knowing you're there for a unique experience as far as clothing goes. You are going to spend a pretty penny on what you buy (jeans and a shirt will run you about $200+ just FYI) So they really do care about what you want as a consumer and not just selling a product but also being a good steward for that product. You do get the quality that you pay for with these products and to me, these jeans will be my go to's whether for a night out or just going to run errands. Fantastic unique yet classy options. Will definitely be back to the store and continue to buy from them for as long as I can foresee. Friendly tips I wish I knew: The shirts fit how you'd think they would, I'm 5'7" about 135lbs and small for me is quite fitted so keep that in mind. I'm also a 30x30 in jeans (Levi's & Express for brand comparison) and they run a bit long here, maybe by an inch. They're going to be tight when you first get them especially if it's raw denim. So go home like I did, put some warm water in a spray bottle, put the jeans on, spray them and stretch them out to your comfort level; dance it out, do yoga, whatever you want to do! After, they will be even more customized to your body type whatever that may be so you can have YOUR perfect fit that makes YOU feel fantastic! And a great pair of jeans should do just that! I had to stretch the waist of mine a bit as well as the thighs, which run a bit snug. After that, they fit like they were tailored for me. The lower leg/calves on the jeans are super clean when cuffed (which is good because mine are a bit long for me). Not too much excess gap between the jeans and your ankle when rolled. Very neat orderly appearance with the selvedge on the outside for a pop of contrast!

If you want great jeans and great service - this is the place to go. Beautiful store layout, and knowledgable/friendly staff. I dealt with Dawnielle, who helped me find exactly what I was looking for through her understanding of the brand and awareness of my needs. I'll definitely be going back.

Went in the store 2 weeks ago with my son, as always great display and nice line of merchandise, they had awesome sale and while my son was in dressing room trying on the clothes, a guy walked in w pair of pants that they had left the sensor on, the cashier apologized and removed it. My son decided on couple of pieces and we purchased them and walked out. That eve I came to find out they had left sensor on his shirt and tho he wanted to wear the top for a party that nite he had to wait till next Weekend to go back to store!! He has full schedule if classes during the week so yesterday he went and they removed it!! Hey maybe this is their way of getting repeat costumers..... haha tho i think it sucks

The men's clothes are great for tall men, women's clothes hit or miss. Also was in there today. A public service announcement for the employee who reached into my one month old baby's stroller (while I was standing right there) and grabbed my baby's pacifier and shoved it in her mouth - don't do that. It feels really violative and was really upsetting. I was too stunned to say anything and I know you meant well but ask before touching a baby that small if it's not yours.

Scotch and Soda is probably my favorite brand, because of the way it fits. I normally go to the BH location, but decided to go to the Abbott Kinney location. After buying 4 pairs of jeans I decided to return 1 pair for another size, because for whatever reason the 32x32 in gray didn't fit like the other colors. I was TOLD they would stretch about half an inch, so not to worry if they felt a little tight right now. I went home and wore them for an hour hoping they would. Unfortunately, I decided to exchange for a size up. When I go back to SS the manager tells me I'm sorry but we can't take these back because I took the tag off even though i had the. In my hand. This is the same manager ( blonde lady ) who 3 days ago helped me with all of the sizes and checking out of items. To act like you don't remember me and won't let a loyal SS customer EXCHANGE an item for a different size is ridiculous. I will never go back to this location again .

The staff was super helpful and friendly. They were always eager to find us our size. Amazing clothes with great details. Some shirts come with a necklace or tank

this place is so cute! i've always been in the area but never ventured into this store until recently. it's an amsterdam based brand that's got kind of a mix between classic, preppy, and contemporary styles (imo anyway). i absolutely adore the details in the designs. the fabric and stitching are also of pretty good quality & the patterns are seriously to die for. each? most? items come with an accessory you could potentially match & wear with your new outfit. how thoughtful is that? :) i'd also like to point out that there was a bit of miscommunication on the sale prices the day i went in but the manager graciously worked everything out with me. so thank you! i'm glad i ventured in and look forward to making another trip ~

Shopping with my husband requires a lot of patience, he wants to try on literally everything. Donovan was so helpful and delightful and never once made us feel like an imposition, which is the vibe we usually get. He styled my husband so well he was the hit of the wedding we attended that night. Thank you Donovan for the excellent service and making us feel so at home.

Having bought 5 Scotch & Soda shirts at Planet Blue, I was excited to check out the store and pick up some more. It's a terrible retail experience. Don't waste your time. First of all, every men's shirt is hung on a hanger in such a way that it "looks cool" but requires a ton of effort to actually remove it from the hanger. The salesman I worked with was not really interested in his job. I liked all 3 of the shirts I tried on but left without buying any because I found the shopping experience so bad.

Stopped by to see if they had this shorts I was looking for since Nordstrom was sold out of it and they didn't. The sales staff are kinda eh in the beginning but if you engage them in conversation they seem to warm up lol should be the other way around but I'll give them that it was a hot hot summers day. Left with a couple things that I was pretty happy with. I'll be back to check out some stuff.

Was there today and Donielle and staff made me feel welcome and engaged. They have nice clothes and I'm eyeing a green jacket that fit me just great. Thank you Donielle and stylish Brotha who works there too.

I was looking online initially for a jacket and decided to call the stores to see what they had (to avoid shipping and possible returns), First I called the store in Pasadena, as it's closer to work, but they had just boxed up all their winter items. They told me to try Venice. So I called there and spoke to Carter. I told him what I was looking for and he offered to text me pictures of jackets they still had in stock in the size I needed. I ended up going in that night and purchased a jacket. EXCELLENT customer service - such a rarity these days. He made it so easy for me!
