On Sunday there were no people here at the store so I felt free to look around and found some nice items for gifts. Some of the sneakers have nice designs. The blazers are well-made with high-quality fabric. In the front, of the store, you can find the new arrivals. And in the back of the store, you can find sale items. And in the middle, you can use the fitting rooms. They have small items such as perfumes, socks, and shoes. They also have bigger items such as sweaters, jeans, suits, and coats. Overall all great items for yourself and gifts. I will come back. Paid parking is in front of the store.

I don't know what comes into my mind when I went here in this shop but thankfully my silly mind made me discover this hidden gem kind of shop. I am just really boring at that time and just walking and walking when my feet brought me here. The place was so nice and clean and I super adore the way they organized their products. The staffs are also good, I don't know why some of the reviews tell that they receive bad customer service, but in my own experience, I think the staffs were quite good too, they help me and assist me in shopping and choosing some dresses, so it's a plus points for me. The prices are quite expensive but I understand, cause their products are really in good quality. Definitely worth the price. Next time. I'll come here again with my friends. They will surely love this shop too

Love this store - Great quality clothes and super helpful staff. Also easy returns; I somehow managed to snag a hole in my new jeans (literally 3 days old), and they swapped them out for a new pair, no questions asked. They back their product 100%.

Amazing service provided by their staff, with exquisite selection of colorful and stylish clothing! I called the store to see if they had some items I found online, and I was blown away by Sarah‘s eagerness to find the items and set them aside! When I visited the store, it was quiet, but I had exceptional service by their team, especially Zhanna, who helped me pick variety of styles and sizes and recommended what fit me best. I wanted to buy almost everything there! I can’t say enough about how much I like the current styles, colors, and fits of the scotch and soda FW17 line, but the outstanding service provided to me was above and beyond. Thank you and I will visit again for sure!

Have been going to this store for several years and always have had a positive experience..In the past Sarah was a great manager and moved on to another opportunity.The present manager,Ryan. great guy and very attentive to all those who shop there.There is a reason people keep coming back, the clothes and great service. Will continue to shop here and invite others to stop by and see for yourself..

The gentleman at this location made my day. He made an exception two weeks ago for a jacquard jacket I saw at another store. When I received it I was ecstatic, he went above and beyond. I called a store in South Beach & one in L.A. and the Chicago store was nice enough to make an exception!!

Every time I go here it's at least 20 min and me holding armfuls of clothes before any of the staff ask me if I need help or a fitting room. No one greets you or bothers. Pretty rude team here, great designs though.

I first visited the Boston store and fell in love with their sweaters. Great we have one in Chicago too. Dark, vintage interior decor is pretty cool too.

This is easily one of my favorite shopping spots in Chicago! For the guys out there, I hope you find this review helpful. I've been a fan of Scotch and Soda for years. My first experience was with their denim when I tried on a pair of Ralston fit jeans about 6 years ago at Saks. They fit like a glove so I bought them and they have been my go-to jeans ever since. I then tried their casual button-up shirts, blazers, and outerwear. Needless to say I was more than thrilled when I learned that they would be opening a store in Bucktown! THE PRODUCT Excellent quality and a great price point. Jeans average around $120, shirts around $90, tees around $50, sweaters $100 - $150. Outerwear between $200 - $500. Blazers around $200. The style is a bit "california-cool" meets "urban-casual" - so I'm not a personal fan of all of the pieces, but (from my personal experience) they definitely have a lot of pieces that can integrate into anyone's wardrobe. From a fit standpoint... I'm about 6ft, 180lbs, wear M tops and 32x32 bottoms. DENIM - offer multiple fits from skinny, slim, and regular to other specialty fits (like drop-crotch). I haven't experienced the denim stretching out. I do find that i have to buy a 32x34 to get the length and ankle coverage I prefer. As I mentioned, my favorite fit is the Ralston. I am liking the Skim - which is their skinniest fit and it has a bit of stretch in it so they are easy to pull on and off. I typically don't like skinny jeans with stretch because they end up looking like leggings/sausage casings lol - not a look i'm going for. But these just look like skinny jeans that give a great slim effect below the calf - and look great with a pair of dress shoes and paired with a crisp button-up. PANTS - they have a pretty decent selection of chinos. I'm not a fan of chinos personally, so this doesn't interest me much. Every once in a while, they'll offer a pair of slacks (usually in the Fall) and I'll snatch them up. WOVEN SHIRTS - historically, I haven't purchased a woven shirt (button-up) in a while, the fit has been shallower in the chest to where it pulls at the buttons at the chest for me. I'm also a classic size medium everywhere, but find that I have to go up a size to large. Each retailer is different and the patterns they use are designed for certain body types so this doesn't bother me so much. To be fair, I haven't tried their woven shirts in a while so I'll follow up and provide an update soon. KNIT TOPS - I have better luck with knits (sweaters and tees) than I do with wovens, partially because theres a bit more "give" you naturally get with knit product. I still generally have to go up a size to get the right fit in the shoulder and chest. PRO: their knits are generally slimmer through the waist, which is great when you're buying a sweater and don't want that billowing effect with excess fabric. CON: the length of some knit products is off. Tees are ok, but hem on the sweaters can be so long that it looks more like a women's tunic than a men's sweater. This can be great if you have a longer torso (which can be perfect for slender guys taller than 6ft). This varies by style, so check the length when trying on sweaters to make sure it works for you. OUTERWEAR/BLAZERS - If I had the dough, I'd buy almost all of their outerwear pieces. They ware so well made, offer great style and variety, that every season I have trouble picking out what I like most. They also offer a cool selection of blazers. Well constructed, slim fitting, and a nice price point. Their outerwear and blazers come in S M L XL and sometimes XXL. Similar to their other tops, I generally have to go up a size from M to L, but this varies by style and fabric. My advice: try them on to see what fits you best. THE STAFF By far this store has the friendliest, nicest, well-informed, and helpful staffs in Chicago. If you have questions about the product, my best advice is ASK! They are so knowledgeable about the construction, fit, and how to wear it. They always offer great ideas on how to put something together and what I love most is they make it a point to try on their product so they have first-hand knowledge about how it fits, feels and how to wear it. They also give you the space you need to get the "lay of the land". Even though the store is small, they'll offer to assist you but if you're just looking, they'll let you look without hounding you as other places do. I'm a pretty experienced shopper, but I always walk away (whether I bought something or not) feeling like I got a great experience. Talk to Brian or Mike on the men's side... or for ladies talk to Nikki! I'm telling you, these guys are the best!

*sniff sniff* *deeply inhales air around my friend as we're putting on our coats* "Are you wearing perfume? What is it?" "Scotch and Soda." "Okay I know you're a lush, but what PERFUME are you wearing?" "Scotch and soda! It's called Barfly." I went home and promptly Googled "Scotch and Soda" and within seconds it was on my Pinterest wish list. A week later, I'm at brunch just a few storefronts away. You know how this ends. I stopped in S&S and bought my very own bottle of Barfly. I over-sprayed myself on Christmas but received several compliments from people who were not at all repulsed. Scotch and Soda mostly sells clothing, for men and women, but the designs are European sizing and don't fit Fat Americans. Prices are...a smidge expensive...but if you've ever shopped at a small boutique, the prices won't shock you either. Style is European - minimalist and fashionable. The soundtrack while shopping was enjoyable. EDM that doesn't make your head throb. The guy working here was pretty cool too, and my perfume was given to me in a nice, sturdy black Scotch & Soda shopping back with a little gold embossed sewing machine. 4 stars. I wish they carried more accessories!

My two star rating is purely for the staff at this particular location. I love Scotch & Soda designs and some of my favorite items in my closet are from this brand. However, the staff at this location needs to seriously consider how they treat their customers. In the three times I've shopped in this location, not once have I ever been acknowledged or asked if I needed help, a fitting room, NOTHING. The space is small, so they are very aware of who is in the store. The staff will definitely follow you and pretend to neaten up a display of shirts right behind you, but again, there is this "we're way too cool for you" type of vibe going on. All of the items that I own from this brand have been purchased elsewhere. I recommend finding their items at Nordstrom; you'll experience far better service.

Felt compelled to leave a review because multiple people have said their customer service was poor. I've been in a few times now and each time the staff have been very helpful and attentive without being overbearing 'sales people'. The clothes are also great and I've gotten multiple compliments when I've worn them. Clothes also aren't too expensive, especially when on sale.

This just might be my new favorite store in the area! The style is a combo of urban and vintage chic. The quality of the clothing is high and the prices reflect that. Fortunately the sales are good and currently they have a good selection for 50% off. I like how each of the women's tops come with a necklace. One of my buys came with a mini harmonica necklace, fuuuuun! And the sales people get to wear gun holsters for their walkie talkies. I want one. These urban-style stores come with urban-style lighting, which can make colors looks off. Also the dressing room area is not ideal for those who like their privacy and individual mirrors. Sizing is european which means they fit asians and hipsters.

Summary: horrible customer service but good looking clothes I love Scotch & Soda's clothing -- they have some really good looking clothes that fit well and are very comfortable. However, I was incredibly disappointed with their customer service. In trying to return a defective item (I had never worn the shirt and I noticed a seam in the arm was torn after leaving the store), their online customer support informed me they could not assist me and that I would have to deal directly with the store. When I contacted the store, I was offered zero help besides that I could pay a tailor out of my own pocket to sew the garment or deal with the tear. I expected more after paying so much.

Customer service rocks!!! Found about fifteen articles of clothing that I loved immediately. Cute stuff you won't see everywhere, proving once again that Europe is so far ahead of us in fashion. Can't wait to wear my new outfit from here!!

What a great staff! Went in and the customer service was great. They have cool clothing and high quality fabric & finish at a comparable price to shops in the area. The quality exceeds the other shops nearby, at least for women's clothing.

While I have loved their clothing for years, especially their jeans, the service at this location was fantastic! Attentive, friendly, and helpful with a non pushy attitude. Made suggestions and honest feedback. Thank you for a wonderful shopping spree!

I recently stopped in here with my partner on our way to the airport. We had some time to kill and live in the neighborhood so we'd always wanted to check it out. It's a neat spot, cool atmosphere, and great clothes...we loved a lot of items and probably would've bought a few things right off the bat...but we were followed from the second we walked in. We didn't receive a greeting and were not asked if we needed help...we were just followed. It was honestly ridiculous and made us both feel really uncomfortable. Considering there's a similar review, I guess this won't be the biggest surprise. I just hope they come to the realization soon that treating potential customers like that won't do anyone any favors and certainly isn't good for the future of the location. For now, I'll choose to spend my money elsewhere.

First of all, the place smelled incredible. I was promptly greeted by three employees with warm smiles and offered assistance. Not only did they being me exactly what I asked for, I was provided other styles and options; which I ended up liking more than my original choice. Scotch and soda is now my go to clothier in the city.

Love the aesthetic and the quality of this line (finally, some European style). What makes this place extra great is that you can find classic work staples and more unique bohemian pieces with equal ease. Being really picky about fit, I'm always pleasantly surprised that most things I try on here are flattering (which is also kind of a curse, because I wanna get EVERYTHING). The staff is the right level of attentive, very courteous. Scotch & Soda is a great addition to Chicago shopping scene.

I love this place! I always pop in here quick when I need a cute (not overpriced) outfit. The staff is super amazing, and always friendly. Even if i don't find something I love- its an enjoyable experience because of the people.

Despite my last experience at scotch and soda I decided to go back in today and I'm happy I did. I told the two guys working today about my last experience and they were very apologetic and very friendly. And like I said in my last review they have great clothes. You'll have a hard time not finding something when shopping at scotch and soda.
