A favourite along the AV1 route. Just hard to get to and leave (hills) Friendly staff. Cute llamas! Very picturesque. Dinner wasn't overly great - lots of food but kind of bland/ felt like using up leftovers.. but the strudel was fabulous! Breakfast was ample and memorable- they make your coffee fresh! Warm crusty bread rolls! Eggs. Fruit. Cheese. Yoghurt. Fruit. Comfy but small bedroom. Free showers!

Amazing place! In a lush flowering valley below and amazing lake and an amazing pass above. We took the Barrel room with the jacuzzi, to end our 4 day Dolomite trek. Wow! And the hosts were gracious and fun. Altogether a perfect experience. Will return!!

Only had a few beers (only 7€ pint, which is good due to location, in UK that would have been near double the price) after coming of the mountain, was So needed thank you. Didn't eat, but food look amazing. Busy but no one really waited, greats service.

Great service, good quality of food. You’ll get a bang for your buck. Had a good time stayed for lunch and after an afternoon swim some dinner!

Food was absolutely amazing and a great deal. It’s located on the most beautiful ski trail I have ever skied. Really iconic views. We eat a delicious plate of meat and had three drinks for about 70 euros. I’d highly recommend stopping there to eat and refuel.

Ok so I’m not the world’s best snow boarder but I still|Managed to get here from Selva Val Gardena and I’m so happy I did. Snowboarding, lifts, taxi, gondola and then a run down the most beautiful slope you will ever encounter anywhere in your life and you arrive at Scotoni…don’t go past it STOP!!|We booked in advance as it’s always full even on a cloudy day. The views are stunning, absolutely stunning and then the food! After a long long traverse and some walking (note my bad snowboarding ability!) the food was a welcome treat. We were 12 people and had the mixed grills which was absolutely delicious and huge! The wine list is extensive (and if like me you need some Dutch courage to get home afterwards) and well priced.|Make sure you get here by 12.30pm so you can enjoy lunch and the views without having to rush to ski down to the horse and cart….yup a horse and cart to drag you back to the slopes! Bring cash for the horse 4 euro per person. What an adventure, what a place, if only my legs could get me back there to experience it again!

This was our favorite stay along our 7 day Alta Via 1 trek. The ambiance of the bar and communal dining room and the whole place was fantastic. It was cozy and warm but still felt spacious and not crowded even when completely full. All of the staff was so welcoming and helpful. Anna especially stood out and totally took care of us. We came in tired and hungry and she alerted us that the kitchen would be closing for lunch shortly if we were hungry. We were starving so were grateful that she went out of her way to be sure we knew. The grill menu is only available at lunch (until 4pm tho!) We saw the reviews mentioning to order the mixed grill. The reviews were not wrong- it was delicious, and so was the Iberian pork and loaded potatoes (with bacon & cheese on top). Our 4 person bunk room was cozy, clean and comfortable. It had enough space to be organized with our gear and to not feel too cramped when we all were trying to get ready at the same time. The dinner and breakfast meals were stellar too and among the best of the great food we had all along the trail. The coffee here at breakfast was also a highlight- they made a fresh cappuccino or americano for each person (not an easy task with everyone eating breakfast at nearly the same time!) vs. the jug/bulk dispenser 'coffee' we had at most of the other places for breakfast. This place definitely goes the extra mile for their guests. We would come back just to stay here again.

We came there during the big storm, completely soaked, frozen and hopeless. The owner was like a mother in that moment for us. She was so helpful, kind and warm! She didn’t have a free room for us but offered an “emergency” room - it was additional house near the main building. She fed us well, gave as a new energy by the very nice conversation- we were ready to go further next day. Especially after delicious breakfast 😊❤️ I want to thank You, because when I went to say goodbye there were only your sons/ workers? So Dear Owner of Scotoni Hutte - thank You for your heart and help ❤️
