Quick and exceptional service. Ice cream was tasty, slightly tastier than your typical storebrand ice cream, but nothing to fuss about. Oreo Cookie was chuncky which my wife enjoyed. The vegan ice cream was okay; i wouldn't choose it again The Belgian Chocolate was sweet. But not memorable

OMG--this is the BEST ice cream I have ever had--and I have had a LOT of ice cream! We went as soon as the doors opened at noon, and we were not the first or last people through the door! There were delicious flavors to choose from, so my husband opted for a four-flavor flight: lemon sorbet, peach sorbet, fresh strawberry and cannoli. I opted for the lemon blueberry swirl ice cream but tasted all of the flavors he chose. One was better than the next! The staff was friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

Google
We had Scottish Highland cater our wedding a few weeks ago and it was perfect! We visited the store and Claire was so helpful as we tried probably a dozen different flavors. She kept a list of what we tried and helped make this a really fun wedding planning errand! The ice cream was a huge hit at the wedding - everyone loved the strawberry pretzel and honey vanilla cinnamon in particular! Working with Scottish Highland was easy and I would recommend fresh scooped ice cream for any event you're planning!

Google
So good! Treat yourself. Reasonable prices, delucious ice cream.

Google
We had Scottish Highland Creamery cater our BBQ party with their ice cream cart, and it was an absolute hit! Communication leading up to the event was clear and easy—they were professional, responsive, and incredibly friendly. The ice cream itself was out of this world—so fresh, creamy, and delicious. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about it! The cart added such a fun and charming touch to the party. Highly recommend them for any event—you won’t be disappointed!

Google
They make a great banana split!! Lots of great flavors and toppings to choose from. You can't go wrong with anything here.

Google
The ice cream was delicious, especially the salted caramel which was a recommendation by one of the team members. I can’t wait to come back to try more flavors next time I’m in town. They did close at the time listed, so don’t dawdle in late expecting a scoop!

Google
Visited my Grandparents for the holiday and we were in the mood for icecream. We started looking on Google for local options, this spot was about half hour away but my Grandfather said he’ll make the trip just for the icecream! So we bundled up and started the drive. So glad we took the mini road trip. Super sweet staff. Lots of exciting flavors. Thankful for samples because it was hard to make up our minds. Our personal favorites: —Apple Cidar Sorbet —Peaches and Cream (in a shake) —Dark chocolate salted caramel —Coffee cake (I think? It was great haha) —Espresso The whole family approved! We’re not local but next trip in the area we’ll be back — maybe in the summertime when we can walk around and enjoy a sunset ;)

Yelp
This place came highly recommended by a local in St.Michaels. This ice cream is ultra creamy! Great prices-2 scoops for a small $5. I had peanut butter chocolate chip and cookies and cream which were delicious. Service was very friendly. Lots of kids in there after the Easter egg hunt in the park across the street. Thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
Traditional ice cream parlor with outstanding ice cream flavors. Some of the flavors are mind-bogglingly good. This is a destination ice cream and sorbet experience! The staff is happy to provide free samples. Restroom is accessible. A charming experience, especially on a hot summer day!

Yelp
My strawberry with pretzel ice cream was delicious full of strawberries. It was creamy and tasty with chunks of pretzels. The young ladies at the counter were cordial and patient as we looked at all the flavors and asked questions. Highly recommended

Yelp
The crushed strawberry ice cream is soo good it tastes like fresh strawberries and not the flavored stuff. We also got the July fourth and salted caramel cashew flavors which were also amazing! The line was long but moved quickly and the staff were super nice! This is a small town shop with big flavors! If you ever come out to Oxford, Md you have to try this place

Allison K.

Yelp
Delicious. I got the double Belgian chocolate and Oreo on a waffle cone. Pure bliss on a hot summer's day. Enjoyed it in the park across the street.

Yelp
Great ice cream flavors and variety with a beautiful indoor facility and great location! Prices are reasonable and service is fast. Highly recommend as a stop when you visit Oxford!

Yelp
I think it was the most crowded location in Oxford. I checked the flavors of the day and chose a small cup of limoncello. Texture was high quality - you can tell they use real cream. Flavor tasted like I was biting into a lemon (which I like). Overall, highly recommended if you're in Oxford.

Yelp
This place is at the very end of one of the Eastern Shore's labyrinthine peninsulas, albeit not as far from the main highway as I'd thought. It took me a while to find my way over here, but it was the best of the premium ice cream I've had in the region. A variety of flavors and size options awaited, and they offered build your own sundaes among other things. A mix of classic and experimental flavors awaited. The cones didn't look incredible, so I stuck with ice cream. I split myself between a chocolate with Reese's peanut butter cups (as satisfying as it sounds), a pomegranate yogurt (sharply contrasting in flavor), and a mint chip that really surprised me. What kind of mint was in there I don't know, but it was one of the more herbally complex mints I can remember having (I eat a lot of high-end mint chip ice cream), and the chips were dark and crunchy. Three very different flavors, all comfortably better than run of the mill ice cream. They had some sorbets for the dairy-free crowd, if no true non-dairy creams that I could see. You can eat on the neighboring docks. If you're going to go looking for ice cream on the Eastern Shore, I'd say this is worth a drive.

Yelp
Bottom Line: Seasonal walk up ice cream shop with high quality ice cream and friendly employees. I'm not really a big ice cream person but I knew I couldn't leave Oxford without trying the decadent ice cream from Scottish Highland Creamery. Sure enough, it was excellent. Their homemade ice cream is dense and creamy. Definitely not full of air like many store brought brands. The biggest surprise to me is how much I enjoyed the Crushed Strawberry ice cream! I usually don't like strawberry ice cream but Scottish Highland Creamery's had my eyes wide open in pure surprise and bliss. It tasted like ice cream fresh from the farm including chunks of strawberry. I also had the Birthday Cake and Double Belgian Chocolate. Both were really delicious and decadent but the Crushed Strawberry remains the most memorable. Scottish Highland Creamery is open in Oxford seasonally and I was fortunate to be there the last weekend it was open but you can find pints and quarts year round. Oh how I wish I had a pint of Egg Nog and Pumpkin ice cream right now! I'd originally learned about the Scottish Highland Creamery when visiting the Tilghman Island Country Store. There it is simply referred to as the secret ice cream. The pints and quarts of Scottish Highland Creamery ice cream are available at a handful of small businesses on the Eastern Sho'.

Yelp
This is what ice cream should taste like!!! Amazingly rich. The sorbets are also out of this world. So refreshing and velvety. I had a peach sorbet- there were chunks of peaches. There are places inside to sit and savor. You can also whatever you'd like!! Service is friendly too.

Yelp
The most delicious ice cream with so many unique flavors...my favorite being the Candy Cane Ice Cream (crunched candy canes). The people delivering the product are the nicest group of employees making buying the ice cream something I eagerly look forward to when picking up my order in Oxfords famed Oxford Social Cafe https://oxfordsocialcafe.com . Ordering my Valentines Day Ice Cream Specials this week.

Chris M.

Yelp
Great prices, good variety of flavors , and efficient service. I had a small sundae which includes two ice cream flavors and two toppings- totally delicious! Highly recommend on a hot day, and there is room to sit inside.

M V.

Yelp
For me, over 70, and for my granddaughter, under 10, one scoop each would have been perfect. But the minimum is 2 scoops!! And if you take 1, you have to pay for 2!! So I asked for an extra little carton, so we could share. No that would cost another full price of 2 scoops!! Absurd. This sure put a damper on what was supposed to be a nice outing.

Yelp
Some of the best ice cream around! It is so good that we bought 4 pints and I only eat ice cream a few times a year. Staff are fabulous and it's a really cute store. Just expect a wait if it is a warm day. The wait is worth it!

Yelp
We trekked over here from a weekend in St Michaels and it was well worth the visit. A great afternoon trip for families with young kids to take the ferry over the river, walk to the ice cream shop, and then play on the beach a little bit before taking the ferry back. The ice cream is delicious with lots of unique flavors. Our kids gobbled it up and adults loved it too.

Angie C.

Yelp
Very good ice cream and service. Memorial Day Weekend was a very time but worth the wait.

Jack F.

Yelp
Straciatella was the best ice cream flavor that has hit my tongue in years. It brought me back to a sense of delight from my childhood, only realizing that seconds later, a rich, chocolatey sensation would be buzzing through my tastebuds. It honestly makes me feel like I am running through a grape field in Italy. Highly recommend to anyone.
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
Was really looking forward to some ice cream, but they are closed Monday thru Thursday. Also, be aware that even if ordering from the outside window they require patrons to wear a mask.
google avatar

Ej R.

Yelp
So good, and I love that the flavors rotate! I wish they were open later, but that's part of the charm.
google avatar

Jamal S.

Yelp
OMG OMG OMG This place is a MUST if you are in Oxford!!! The flavors are to die for. It's super cheap. SUPER tasty and the service is OUTSTANDING! There is nothing else I could ask for, except a bigger spoon The location sits right on the water and there is plenty of (first come first served seating). Loosen your belt, kick back, relax and enjoy!!!

S H.

Yelp
Their Italian Lemon Cookie flavor is likely the best ice cream ever created. It's perfect and you can also buy pints in a few shops outside of Oxford. It makes me happy. Go find it! Thank me later.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
Always, our favorite place to go, whether it's desert or an afternoon treat. My favorite is the strawberry but they always have at least one other flavor that I have to have as a second scoop. Fantastic, rich, creamy ice cream, and the people are as great as the ice cream!

B W.

Yelp
Innovative flavors and great ice cream at this place. Always people here and line moves fast. Best ice cream in the county. Not much indoor seating but plenty of space outside and in the park across the street.
google avatar

Barbara H.

Yelp
This is definitely the best place for ice cream on the Eastern Shore. Home made ice cream with quality ingredients, very pleasant staff and responsive ownersreasonable prices, lovely waterfront view. Well managed COVID-19 procedures in place. Try the crushed strawberry for a taste of summer.
google avatar

Kiehl C.

Yelp
This is an Oxford thing. It's almost cultish how much people like this icecream, and for good reason. It's good! It's dense and creamy and they have a lot of great flavors. The specialty flavors are where it's at. The cookies and cream has actual Oreos in it instead of fake Oreo shrapnel and is excellent. Vanilla was disappointing. They're right down the street from the public beach, so it's a good stop after cooking in the sun and dodging sea nettles.

Abigail B.

Yelp
Best ice cream in town. Very nice people. Love the updated space. Flavors are all so good and it's right across from the park and water.
google avatar

Cecile D.

Yelp
I had a sundae w hot fudge and peanuts with a scoop of butter pecan and grand Mariner. It was simply delicious for under $6.. it was the best sundae ever.
google avatar

Edward N.

Yelp
Super creamy ice cream. The reviews are right! Definitely worth the stop. We had the Oreo Cookie (cookies and cream) and coffee chocolate chip - both were delicious, but the Oreo cookie was another level. Highly recommend! (The shirts they had for sale were also super fun)
google avatar

Shelly L.

Yelp
My boss told me this was the best ice cream in the world and she didn't disappoint! We were able to sample anything we liked - I ended up choosing the freshly crushed strawberry and the double chocolate. The chocolate was decent; I've had richer chocolate at halo pub; but the strawberry was definitely the best I've ever had. The ice cream is very fatty but it tasted so good I couldn't even feel guilty. A single scoop was two scoops so even the smallest size allows you to pick two flavors.
google avatar

Erin O.

Yelp
Charming little ice cream place by the water. Plenty of unique and classic flavors, great portions, and a great view. I especially loved the Scottish toffee flavor. Definitely a lovely stop if you're in town!

Yelp
Unremarkable ice cream,,, i been 10 x or more. I don't get it. Had a sunday that was the size of a skittle. Quality is just ehhh. Nice people good service,, i want to love the product but as they say all sizzle no steak. Worth a visit you decide

Yelp
Fresh ice cream with a great variety of flavors, right on the waterfront! Fantastic ice cream, the really thick kind, not soft-serve from a machine. They have just about any flavor of ice cream you can imagine in rotation, but you have to check the board to see which ones available on any given day. Last time I was there, they had the maple bacon, which really knocked my socks off. The line is always long, but don't be put off by that. They keep things moving with assembly-line speed and precision. It seems to move even faster now that they accept credit cards and have expanded the deck area. Always a treat on summer evenings, the views of the water are always spectacular, and you get amazing looks at the sunsets from the deck. Parking is in a public lot, and can be a bit tricky to navigate. The only problem I have with the Creamery is getting there. I always seem to make a wrong turn (never the same one twice) when going here, even when using GPS!

Yelp
I was visiting Oxford this weekend because my boss is nice enough to let me use his weekend house. After a search of places nearby here on the great Yelp, this little gem pops up. How did they know I'm a sucker for good ice cream?! It's located just on the opposite side of Schooners. There were several flavors of the month as well as standard flavors. I'm indecisive so I went with 4 scoops. Shame on me. I know. On the bottom of the cup there was the goodness of the Fourth of July ice cream. It's blueberry pie filling along with raspberry. On top it was chocolate hazelnut I believe. I was so excited to get that ice cream I may be a bit off on the flavor. All I saw was chocolate then a blur. Nothing else mattered. The young ladies working there was as pleasant as they can be. I know for certain I'll be returning. Such sinfully good ice cream. Tip..you order at the first window. Don't be in a hurry and skip to the second window like I did. But hey, ice cream will do that.

Yelp
Super cute gem of a location hidden in the middle of nowhere. Worth the stop to eat ice cream and watch the sunset but three stars for location, not because the ice cream tastes any different than baskin and Robbins. I was expecting homemade and disappointed. Service was fast.

L B.

Yelp
Superlative ice cream with interesting and well-executed flavors. At the suggestion of an employee, I had the yoghurt mango ice cream, which was delicious and very refreshing on a hot day. The blueberry lemon chip was also excellent. If you are anywhere on the Eastern Shore, and like ice cream, this is a must visit.
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
This is the world's most irresistible ice cream. The owners are friendly and they love what they do. Maybe that's why their ice cream tastes so good. If you are ever in the area, you must treat yourself to some of their ice-creamy perfection. This quaint little shop puts Ben & Jerry's, Häagen-Dazs and Baskin Robbins to shame.
google avatar

Aaron C.

Yelp
Very friendly and talkative staff. Delicious and interesting flavors. My Mexican vanilla had a hint of spice to it, and the strawberry was intensely flavorful. I believe they're only open seasonally (i.e. Spring to early Fall). The ice cream is served out of a window on the side of the Schooner restaurant.
google avatar

Karen G.

Yelp
Stopped while visiting Oxford and the vanilla was VERY vanilla. The Mint Chip was ranked best I ever tasted. Strawberry was a little too tart. The staff practiced social distancing and enforced the customers adherence.

Barbara S.

Yelp
Ice cream was excellent! Very rich and creamy. Shared a scoop of Chocolate Carmel Crunch (rich dark chocolate ice cream, Carmel swirl, crunchy topping pieces) and a scoop of Peanut M&M (PB ice cream with PB M&Ms crushed in!) Both we're really good! We will be back!!
google avatar

F. L.

Yelp
The ice cream here is perfectly fine but not exceptional. I've had much better handmade ice cream elsewhere. Flavors were all a bit overwhelmed by the creaminess. Probably best in the area, though, and fun location by the marina.

Art M.

Yelp
One word: YUM! There is everything an ice cream should be. Great flavors, creamy, fresh and good for the soul. The owners and staff are friendly and first rate. I'd write more but it takes away time from going back for another taste.
google avatar

Joanna P.

Yelp
I've heard a nasty rumor that the Creamery is going to be sold to a new owner. I want to tell them that people come from far and wide to have some of their wonderful flavors. Where else can you find Italian lemon cookie ice cream or deep cherry sorbet or biscotti ice cream? My passion for the lemon cookie ice cream runs deep! We tried to buy some at the stores in St. Michael's, but were unsuccessful. Everybody likes that one, they said. Let's not talk about that anymore! I hope that a new owner will understand....
google avatar

Joshua F.

Yelp
Will definitely be back. Compares well with the Island Creamery in Chincoteague although with fewer options and no indoor seating. I had the strawberry which was truly exceptional. My wife wanted to move to Oxford after having her ice cream -- was disappointed to learn they close between October and April. Already plotting to make a sidetrip there again before the summer is done. Cash only.
google avatar

Christina R.

Yelp
My husband said it all on our first visit. "If I knew strawberry ice cream could taste this good I'd have never turned to chocolate!" Simply the best!!!

Isabelle V.

Yelp
Yummy, yummy in my tummy! Very busy with long lines, but moved very quickly. Creamy delicious ice cream!!
google avatar

Susan K.

Yelp
Best local spot right on the marina. Great original flavors, generous portions. I was stuffed from lunch but could not resist !
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
So on my way back from Berlin Maryland I stopped at Dairy Queen. They were out of hot fudge and they said their strawberries were frozen. So I went to Yelp for an ice cream parlor and found you. What a beautiful setting for your ice cream shop. And oh by the way the ice cream was awesome! So worth the diversion and my trip back home
google avatar

Craig F.

Yelp
Amazing ice cream and I do not overly excited by it. The place that we rented for the week suggested that we make the trip to Oxford just for the ice cream and the kids were sold. We went after dinner and they accommodated our requests for samples and then served us promptly once we ordered. The owner even came around and asked several customers how they were enjoying their ice cream and he seemed extremely interested. Great product and customer service. AAA++++ all the way around. We will be back!!!

Jack S.

Yelp
Best ice cream around & Great views. This little gem has apparently been around for a long time and for good reason. Their ice cream is unbeatable. I got a Vanilla Turtle Sunday(Hot Caramel & Fudge). It was unbelievably good. I really appreciated not having to ask(or pay) for extra caramel & fudge. That's one of my peeves when you get shorted the hot fudge, but SHC was plenty generous. I hear some people drive many miles out of their way to come here. Now I know why. It's definitely worth the trip folks! Also, if you're coming from St. Michael's direction you might as well take the Ferry across the Tred Avon River and catch some more views while shaving some miles off getting here!
