Scourie Hotel

This hotel is absolutely perfect in every way. When you walk in you're welcomed by a roaring fire and there's a full bar so you can sip something while you relax by the fire. The rooms are lovely and cozy with incredibly comfortable beds. The three course dinner was amazing quality and a fixed price and the breakfast was incredible with a selection of anything you could want. Will definitely be back to stay.

Mr and Mrs Campbell made us feel very welcome. There is a definite family feel. Breakfast and dinner were first class. The room was comfortable, with good views. The fishing was excellent. Good walking within easy reach.

Stayed at this lovely hotel on our NC500 trip. Warm welcome on arrival and everyone is so friendly. Room was great and bed was really comfy. Food is amazing. Beach is a short walk away and views are just stunning. Went on a lovely walk. It was a very popular stay if you like fishing. Would definitely stay again 😍

As ever, a traditional family run fine dining shangri-la in the Sutherland hills did not disappoint. Professional standard, comfortable, quality hotel that is classically understated. I cannot endorse the Campbell family's little piece of heaven enough.

Beautifully decorated room with Mountain views. Unusually the sink was in the bedroom, personally i don't like that, others it may not bother. No TV in the room which i had not realised when booking but it was not a problem, in fact was quite pleasant . |This is a hotel that groups of men fishing from, extremely popular for that, the lounge and bar are decorated with mounted/stuffed fish. Groups of men spent hours talking fish , looking at a map in the lounge.|Staff were efficient and helpful. We had dinner there, a bit pricey and ok but nothing special. Good range of whisky/ beer in the bar.

Very comfortable hotel and spacious room with friendly staff, especially loved the barman and his knowledge of gin. It’s very focused on fishing which we didn’t realise when booking, so if you want to fish they are very knowledgeable and can organise anything for you.

It’s a long way to Scourie whichever way you cut it, but it is definitely worth the trip, especially if you stay at the Scourie Hotel. We were warmly welcomed by Fiona, despite us showing up ridiculously early. Our room wasn’t ready of course but having left our luggage at the hotel we had a well deserved pint or two at a local bar, and after that we went back to find our room ready. We had a garden room, one of the most spacious hotel rooms that I’ve ever experienced. It was separate from the main hotel and was very quiet and peaceful.||The dinners at the hotel restaurant were outstanding, and the staff were superb - a special mention for Mary who remained unperturbed at every bit of indecision by me. ||Pre and post dinner would not have been the same without a visit to the hotel bar. Bartender Les, also deserving of a special mention, is a great conversationalist and an expert in all things local.||In summary, the room was great, the staff helpful and welcoming at all times, the food was super and the location unbeatable.

What a charming, atmospheric, beautiful family run hotel with excellent food, a lovely bar and attentive staff. Beautiful lounge areas with open roaring fires all day. I will be back!
