Next to another resale shop on Liberty Road, Scout is worth the trip if you are looking for some pretty cool stuff--vintage things, not "fine antiques", and some well made used furniture from yesteryear. The store is narrow and items are arranged in alcoves and nooks. The staff is friendly and will make a call to a "higher up" if there is a question about the origin of a retail item. You can find expensive Julep cups and moderately priced jewelry, furniture and framed prints. There is also a lot of "Lexington" stuff for those who are into that. I've seen Faulkner sketches and a sign from Mia's.
What makes this place neat is the range of prices and the artful display. One could find things for a starter home or a dorm room. There also are high-end pieces, too, that a decorator could use to make a home unique. In addition, there are also items that would look great ina refurbished loft if your taste leans to industrial.
I'd encourage you to check out Scout. It's more than a resale shop, and it definitely reflects the personality of its owners with its cool displays. Scout is open seven days a week, although on Sunday they have shortened hours from 1-5 PM. Lexington has a shortage of cool shops, so Scout definitely fills a void.
