14 Best Hotels in Atlanta | Condé Nast Traveler

"Old Fourth Ward is, arguably, Atlanta’s coolest neighborhood. It’s home to the historic Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site (which includes his birth home), the BeltLine, beautiful green spaces, and excellent dining options. Staying here puts you in the busiest part of town, but it’s busy because there’s so much to do (eat, shop, people watch!). If you want a hotel with a homey feel in the heart of the city, you can’t beat Scout Living, which offers spacious apartment-style rooms in the trendy Ponce City Market—a former Sears, Roebuck and Co. distribution center turned hub of great dining and shopping. The apartments range from one to two bedrooms, and the ones with city views offer killer vistas of Atlanta. You are in a food wonderland with the market right outside your door, but in the lobby, there’s also Miami-based Necessary Purveyor, an all-day cafe with coffee and a full bar, plus a convenient grab-and-go market in case you need something in a pinch." - Lia Picard, Allison Weiss Entrekin

We absolutely loved the apartment at Scout Living in Atlanta! After being stranded by VRBO on the same day of our booking, I found myself scrambling to find a new location to stay for the event we were attending/staycation that weekend. An internet search led me to Scout Living and I am so glad it did. Every detail of our apartment was perfect and it was incredibly clean. Being just 800 square feet, we said it was like staying in amazing little IKEA showroom lol! Great use of the space and it felt super cozy and inviting. The location right at Ponce City Market was incredible. The rooftop area and pool were also amazing! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Atlanta.

Kierra is the absolute star of this show! I promise she will give you phenomenal service. Come in with patience, grace, and gratitude, and guess what, you will get the same in return from this team, especially Kierra! She made our trip amazing from the moment we called and asked about possibly checking in early. We knew it was a big ask, but Kierra was kind and sweet and made us laugh. Allowed us to leave our items at the desk, but guess what, by the time we arrived, a room opened up quick and we couldn’t have asked for more! Plus, she will suggest the absolute best restaurants. She told us about Papi’s Cuban restaurant and Rey’s sandwich was a Gods tear. Our room was beautiful and that view was incredible. Every time we went down stairs Kierra was always fun to laugh and joke with. Now, hear me out, if you come in and have a bad attitude and are mean because you are not getting your way, that is between you and your day, don’t take it out on this amazing staff. They will treat you with the absolute best, like amazing people would, as long as you show respect and kindness. That’s all anyone wants, share the love and they will give it back. Thank you Kierra for the best service! I would hire you immediately ☺️

My stay here was awesome and more than expected! It started with ultra friendly service from Kathleen followed by an amazing room. I almost do not want to recommend 😜 so it is easier for me to get a room again in the future! I am looking into an extended stay for the future. Room 2102!

Great room. Nice property. Really-really liked the room layout and functionality - just right. Building is good with no BS. We walked to shopping and a good restaurant. That part of town is loaded with options. Check-in and staff communication without any unnecessary wasted time. I'm usually not a pool person but spent time on the (rooftop pool). First time i had that view of ALL Atlanta. I travel extensively, and this joint (and any like it) is my new go-to.

I stayed here for the Shakes Knees music festival. It was close to the festival so I could walk each day and save the cost of transport. The room was like being in a small apartment rather than a traditional hotel room. The staff was very friendly and I liked how close it was to the restaurants and shops at Ponce market. Very comfortable place in a convenient location. I would stay there again.

Trey was incredible in helping me secure the perfect spot for my time here and since then on Scout Living quickly became my home away from home in Atlanta! Every single staff member is amazing! They are all professional, welcoming, helpful, kind, and go out of their way to ensure you feel at home! The location, rooms, amenities are perfect for whatever amount of time you are spending there!

Bed bugs in room 1815 - no actionable response by management. Be wary when booking here, as the rooms have no TVs and the bathroom sinks are tiny with no convenient area to place your toiletries. What's most concerning however is that we discovered bed bugs, and when we informed management of our situation they requested that we send pictures and then did not respond to us for the duration of our stay. It looks good on Instagram but you can have a much better experience at a way lower price if you book with an actual hotel. I would not recommend you pay the high price to stay here. Yes, the location is great since you are right by Ponce City Market, but that is the only positive.

After a stellar stay at another Placemakr property, I was excited to give this one a try and I was just as happy. The property is wonderful and the location adjacent to Ponce Market is awesome. We got a two bedroom, two bath room and it was perfect for both hang time and giving space. The beds are comfy and there's plenty of room for people and luggage (and turns out, craft projects). ||If I had any complaint, it would just be that getting IN is kind of confusing. Had we not randomly met a short-term resident who showed us how to get in through the courtyard and wind the halls to the elevators, we may still be wondering around.||Absolutely would stay again.
