My stay at Corcovado Wilderness Lodge was exceptional in every way. Just footsteps from one of the most biodiverse national parks on Earth (2.5% of the world’s species in only 164 sq. miles), it offers all the comforts of a posh 5-star hotel, even though it’s accessible only by boat. The boat ride to the lodge from Drake Bay was thrilling and scenic, and from the moment we stepped onto the property, the staff and guides treated us like royalty. There was so much laughter shared between guests and staff, and it was clear they genuinely enjoyed seeing us happy and comfortable. From the concierge to the waiters, guides, and boat captains, every single person radiated warmth and hospitality. The food and drinks were exceptional in variety, quality, and presentation. Our bungalow was lush and comfortable, with ocean views, an outdoor tub, air conditioning, and a hammock perfect for relaxing. The guides were not only experts in the area’s wildlife but also attentive hosts who ensured our comfort while helping us spot and learn about countless species. In just a few days, we saw whales, dolphins, sea turtles, sharks, crocodiles, monkeys, tapirs, coatis, frogs, lizards, macaws, toucans—the list goes on. Special thanks to concierges Marco and Roger, waiters Justin and Edward, and guides Adrian, Tibi, and Diego. You went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. I left not only more educated about wildlife but also inspired to do more to protect it. My partner and I hadn’t even left the property before we were figuring out how to return. I can’t recommend Corcovado Wilderness Lodge more highly. It’s a rare blend of wild beauty, luxury, and heartfelt hospitality.

Amazing experience. The animals, accommodations, and food were awesome, but it was truly the people who made it great. From the guides to hospitality, everyone really cared about our wants and worked together to make some pretty cool things come to life. I'm amazed at how special they made our family feel. Everyone went above and beyond any possible expectations to make our time there special. The humpback whales were spectacular, and so were the tapir, monkeys, and band of coati. My family's favorite part was checking the game cams. Even getting to the Drake Bay airport was fun. Thank you to everyone. It was truly a once in a lifetime adventure.

A truly unforgettable experience in the heart of the rainforest! Corcovado Wilderness Lodge is a magical place – remote, peaceful, and surrounded by breathtaking nature. Even the arrival by boat felt like the beginning of an adventure: as we cruised along the coastline, we were treated to spectacular views of the lush jungle meeting the ocean – absolutely stunning! We stayed in an Ocean Tree House, beautifully designed and well-equipped with a fan, air conditioning, indoor shower and bathtub, and a hammock overlooking the ocean – pure serenity and comfort right in the wild. During our excursion into Corcovado National Park, we were lucky to spot tapirs, howler monkeys, colorful frogs, and countless birds. At the lodge itself, we had close encounters with coatis, spider monkeys, scarlet macaws, and toucans – all just a few steps from our room! The diving tour was another highlight: crystal-clear water, a variety of vibrant reef fish, and graceful sea turtles – simply unforgettable. One thing that gave us extra peace of mind: the lodge has access to a local doctor, who was on site within minutes when we needed help with a bee sting and a tick bite. Especially since we’re expecting a baby, this kind of care and quick medical attention meant a lot to us. What really made this stay special was the exceptionally friendly and caring staff. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful support throughout our stay, we felt truly looked after. The food was outstanding every day – beautifully presented, fresh, flavorful, and prepared with so much care. We leave with hearts full of gratitude and memories that will last a lifetime.

No trip to Costa Rica is complete without visiting Corcovado, a preserved wilderness where native wildlife abounds and all your needs are taken care of by the well trained staff. Watch Macaws in the trees while you float in the salt water pool.

This is am amazing resort. The staff is amazing. We went in a rainy season and as soon as we stepped out the staff had umbrellas ready for us. The boat ride was interesting and intense but was well worth it. The activities tree climbing, hiking, whale watching, or a spa day with massage they are all amazing. We even got the opportunity to have the chef Pablo show us how to prepare a meal. Empanadas from scratch. I would go back in a heartbeat.

This place is a TRUE paradise not only because of the beautiful place but most of all the staff. Every single staff member makes a difference. You can feel they love their job. Everything is made and done with love and that’s the difference from other places. Super kidsfriendly. We loved our guide Big Mike and also the Beekeeper is super sweet and knowledgeable and explained us everything about bees and orchids. We booked a 3 night stay but wished we booked 4 nights.
