SCP Hotel Redmond (Redmond, Oregon) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"SCP stands for Soul Community Planet, which should give you some idea of the eco-friendly, wellness-focused ethos on offer at the SCP Hotel Redmond. It’s an extensive reimagining of the old New Redmond Hotel, which has presided over downtown Redmond, Oregon for almost a century. Inside you’ll find calming minimalist-chic rooms and suites decorated with artwork and materials that refer to Oregon’s unusual natural beauty — and on the rooftop you’ll find an indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar, an open-air complement to the ground-floor Wayfarer Lounge and the grab-and-go Provisions Market." - Tablet Hotels

I had a fantastic stay at SCP Redmond! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and eco-conscious, with modern, cozy rooms and thoughtful amenities. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home—especially Lauryn at the front desk, who was kind, helpful, and made checkout a breeze. The entire vibe of the hotel is peaceful and uplifting, with wellness-focused touches like refill stations, plant-based options, and an incredible rooftop space to relax and take in the view. The location is perfect for exploring Redmond and the surrounding area. I’ll definitely be back—SCP truly lives up to its “Soul Community Planet” mission!

We stayed at the SCP Redmond Hotel and organized a family dinner at the Terra Kitchen before our wedding and had our reception at the hotel. Everything was perfect. Kym and Kels are amazing to work with and made sure that everything was taken care of, and the food for both dinners was incredible. We even got to meet the chef at the Terra Kitchen! I was also very appreciative of all the options for our guests with dietary needs. After dinner, we were able to go to the Rooftop and the Wayfarer to visit with family and friends a bit longer - these spaces are so cool and they have the most delicious drinks and apps! The rooms in the hotel were great too, comfortable, peaceful, and very cute. It was so much fun and I am so grateful to have been able to stay and host our events here. I cannot recommend them enough if you are organizing an event or just want a fun, welcoming, comfortable place to stay, eat, or hang out!

What we did love: Terra Kitchen, the Rooftop, Wayfarer, and Provisions market! Having everything under one roof and not having to map out where to go was so refreshing. The staff at each location were amazing and the food and drinks were fantastic! The overall atmosphere of the hotel is really peaceful and the location is great for walking and exploring downtown Redmond. The room, while small, had nice amenities to it and felt clean. What I didn't love: Could not sleep. Like at all. Booked the basic queen room, it's small, but had everything we could need for just an overnight trip so that was fine. What wasn't fine was that the bed was directly across from the door and the door isn't insulated so it let the light from the hallway just flood in making it impossible to fall asleep. Also due to the lack of insulation I could hear every conversation and slamming door of guests all throughout the night. Both made for an unpleasant experience. When we left the next day I got a peek at one of the larger rooms being cleaned and the layout of the bed was well away from the door so I'll give the benefit of the doubt that maybe if you're booking the larger rooms you won't experience the same problem, but at least for the basic one it was not great if you're someone who struggles with light/sound disturbing sleep.

I absolutely loved staying here, I’ve stayed at lots of hotels and this is by far one of my favorite places . It is such a beautiful, yet unique hotel. It’s very homey, clean, and just awesome overall. I want to give a shoutout to the amazing staff, I know I spoke with Christian, Dottie, and Kai (I’m sure I’m missing names but everyone I encountered during my stay was awesome!) they all went above and beyond for me and my son. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, one of my favorite touches was the sound machine and rock lamp in the room (easy for my son to fall asleep with) and the beds were very comfortable (we had used the pullout bed on the couch and it was no different than the regular bed) awesome hotel and definitely a 10/10!

Five stars & five solid tail-wags! When traveling for weeks on end, SCP Redmond feels like trading asphalt fatigue for a warm hug. Check-in was instant kindness: a friendly “welcome-drink” token slid across reclaimed-wood counters (non-alcoholic options too!!!) and a goody bag for Bea (treats, bowl, waste bags) that made her whole body wiggle and spin! Their dog policy is refreshingly straightforward; two pups allowed, modest fee, no sizeist gate-keeping...so we rolled/pranced right into our room without hassle! We booked the Queen Suite and I’m convinced the design team moonlights as mind-readers. A roomy ~300 sq ft layout gave us space to sprawl; minimalist furnishings in earthy tones whispered “exhale.” A cloud-soft queen bed, 55" HDTV, mini-fridge, and a gloriously tiled walk-in shower hit every comfort note — yet the vibe stayed uncluttered and meditative. Downtown Redmond is outside the front door, parking is free, Wi-Fi is speedy, and rates felt almost too generous for the sanctuary they offer. Even if you never left the hotel you’d be nourished: Provisions Market’s espresso bowls you over at sunrise, Terra Kitchen’s plant-forward plates ground the evening, and The Rooftop’s garden patio pours craft cocktails beneath the alpenglow of the Three Sisters and Black Butte. It’s the only rooftop in town, and the 360-degree Cascade panorama makes every sip taste like "ahhh, vacation." Don’t skip the Wayfarer Club tucked just off the lobby—an Oregon-explorer tavern meets cozy library. Leather-soft chairs, shelves of adventure books, and a menu of tavern-style small plates + signature cocktails make it equal parts refuge and launch-pad for the planning of a Smith Rock mission. Laptop days? Duck into Evergreen Ave Collaborative—SCP’s wellness-centric cowork loft—and watch productivity sprout. Sun-splashed hot desks, ergonomic sit-stand setups, private call booths, and screaming-fast Wi-Fi make work feel weightless. From memberships passes to dedicated desks with 24/7 key-card access, and the perks run deep: bottomless Stumptown, a rotating tap, yoga mats for stretch breaks, and plenty of options to keep cortisol down. It’s Redmond’s first true cowork hub, rooted in the same Soul-Community-Planet ethos—so every keystroke plants a tree somewhere. Bea curled up at my feet while I breezed through a week’s to-dos in an afternoon. A standing ovation for the entire SCP family—front-desk legends who greet you like they’ve been saving that smile all day, housekeeping heroes who leave the suite feeling freshly saged, management that actually walks the “Soul-Community-Planet” talk, and ownership whose culture turns sustainability from buzzword to lived heartbeat. Every handshake, freshly fluffed pillow, and genuine check-in (“How’s Bea doing today?!💓”) made it clear this crew isn’t just running a hotel—they’re curating a haven. SCP’s “Every Stay Does Good” promise—tree-planting, youth mental-health support, zero-plastic ethos—turned our night’s rest into quiet activism, and that resonates with me deeply. When we rolled out earlier than check-out, Beatrice (aka Bea) my pup tugged the leash back toward the lobby, lobbying for another night. I get it. This place doesn’t just provide a bed; it cultivates belonging. If you’re chasing soul, community, and planet in equal measure—stop looking. You’ve found home...now book it, feel it for yourself, and your overall wellness💖🐶

I stayed here during a trip with my job. What a fantastic hotel! The staff was wonderfully friendly. The room was clean and the bed super comfortable. The hotel is located on a main street that has plenty of cool shops and eateries. I am looking forward to staying here again soon.

Hotel room was incredibly noisy. The HVAC was loud. If it wasnt on, you could watch tv comfortably. When it was on, it made a loud constant noise with a thumping/resonating noise. Room had new tv, with On-Demand programming but the Wifi/Internet was terrible. TV would glitch & freeze over and over. Couldnt stream shows because of the patchy service even though the TVs were very user friendly and set up with apps already loaded. Location was great. Food & beverage were incredibly tasty with some unique healthy options.

Absolutely perfect stay! Our family was thrilled with every detail, from the kind and genuine service to the hotel itself. Everything is done very gently and thoughtfully.
