Communication was very poor and ended up being canceled on less than 2 weeks before my event. Would NOT recommend.
Background: I filled out the online request through the website on July 4, 2025 for a bridal shower lunch that was planned for August 2, 2025. Ted Bilsky, the owner, responded the same day (7/4) at 10:33am with a quote of typical bridal shower options. I replied to the quote on July 4, 2025 at 4:27pm, asking to remove some items and change to pick up versus catering. Ted never responded to my email request. I followed up with Ted on 7/15/25 to see if my updates were received and if there were any questions. Again, no response from Ted. I then emailed a third time on 7/19/25 since it was getting closer to the bridal shower party. Ted finally emailed back on 7/21/25 saying the delay was due to taking time off and that he could not do the catering due to the small amount of items requested and not meeting the minimum amount.
While I completely understand the business aspect of minimum requirements, what is completely unprofessional is not responding to emails for almost 2.5 weeks and not having an out of office automatic email response to keep his customers aware of his absence. I believe Ted could have handled this situation better. Since the event was less than two weeks away and Ted’s response was canceling my order completely, this left the customer with no vendor on short notice.
Hopefully this saves others from what was truly a terrible experience!
