Scratch Kitchen was super easy to work with and were quick to respond to my emails. The food (fajita buffet) and service the day of the event were outstanding! The presentation was beautiful! All of my guests raved about it! I’ll definitely be back! I had a backyard party with about 30 guests.

I made a last-minute catering request to Scratch Catering to cater my daughter's brunch birthday party. First of all, Scratch is one of the few caterers that I found with a comprehensive brunch menu! Other caterers that I found only offer cold breakfast foods (similar to a continental breakfast). Ted put together a proposal for me and was able to accommodate the date I needed even with short notice. The chef came by and set everything up and came back the next weekday to pick everything up. It made everything so easy! Our guests RAVED about the food... everything was incredible. If I ever need catering services again, I'll definitely be using Scratch.

l went to a seminar that was catered by Scratch Catering. I was able to have the opportunity to try two of the several sandwiches that were available at the event, and I have to say they both were the best tasting sandwiches I have had in a long time. Highly recommend this business for your next event.

Communication was very poor and ended up being canceled on less than 2 weeks before my event. Would NOT recommend. Background: I filled out the online request through the website on July 4, 2025 for a bridal shower lunch that was planned for August 2, 2025. Ted Bilsky, the owner, responded the same day (7/4) at 10:33am with a quote of typical bridal shower options. I replied to the quote on July 4, 2025 at 4:27pm, asking to remove some items and change to pick up versus catering. Ted never responded to my email request. I followed up with Ted on 7/15/25 to see if my updates were received and if there were any questions. Again, no response from Ted. I then emailed a third time on 7/19/25 since it was getting closer to the bridal shower party. Ted finally emailed back on 7/21/25 saying the delay was due to taking time off and that he could not do the catering due to the small amount of items requested and not meeting the minimum amount. While I completely understand the business aspect of minimum requirements, what is completely unprofessional is not responding to emails for almost 2.5 weeks and not having an out of office automatic email response to keep his customers aware of his absence. I believe Ted could have handled this situation better. Since the event was less than two weeks away and Ted’s response was canceling my order completely, this left the customer with no vendor on short notice. Hopefully this saves others from what was truly a terrible experience!

Catered meal for Thanksgiving. Turkey has a weird taste probably from being in the tray. Stuffing and mac were mush. At least the mac tasted good, but they rationed it. It was the small amount, a bit or two. I ended up eating a roll, 2 bites of mac, one the dessert. It was pretty pitiful.

Of you're going to advertise while driving your catering van, you'll continue to loose customers when you text and drive and swerve into people's lanes scaring them half to death. Cutting lanes. Crossing solid lines. Absolutely driving IMSANE. If you dont have integrity while blasting your business...what do you do when no one's looking? You've lost my business and people I know......

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because they are top notch. This catering company knows what the heck they are doing in a kitchen and puts out nothing but the best. I’m new to Southlake and just googled catering companies and requested 3 quotes, This company provided me a quote within 1 hour ( I never got the other 2). Long story short Ted showed up ahead of time and was such a joy to chat with. From start to finish the service they provide is phenomenal and I’m glad I found them. When my guest arrived they got excited and instantly knew what catering company I used. The food was absolutely amazing and we got wiped out, Thank you for making BluSky’s Ribbon cutting exceptional with your touch. Once you use these guys you’ll never go to another catering company. Ted and his team were absolutely amazing. We had our wine club dinner this past weekend and we’re so amazingly pleased with everything!

Everything Scratch Kitchen has done for my events is 5star. From setup, prep and take down, their service is impeccable. Quality of food is top notch. The choices are ample and the portions are fine. I've never had an event where someone didn't ask for Ted's contact info. Best reference you can get.

They catered my birthday party for about 25 people and the experience was better than fantastic. The food was amazing and Rachel staffed our event. She kept the food trays loaded and looking nice, made sure the guests had drinks, took out the trash, kept the ice buckets loaded, and cleaned up all the food at the end of the night. The owner, Ted, came by before the party to ensure everything was set up properly and introduce himself. Everything about our experience was top notch and we will 100% use this company again for our next social gathering. Thank you Ted, Jared and Rachel!!!!

I went her for a meet the mayor of south lake event. The food was spectacular. This little small shop/restaurant you can stop in for lunch or get a quick family dinner take out. This place is perfect for that. There was not one thing that I didn't like. The mushrooms suffer with a cheese mixture was mouthwatering. Then there was a brisket, cream cheese with jalapeños puff thing that made me eat several of them. Sheesh so Yummy!!! The dessert was equally as good with the brownie with some kind of dulce de leche mixture. I can't wait to order a meal here. The owner was teddy bear nice.

Just stopped In real quick to grab one of their grab and go meals and I was thoroughly impressed by the Tuscan Chicken With broccoli! Very flavorful, and fresh, even being packed Togo, it was packed well to contain freshness! Def recommend, could Imagine what they can do for a catering job! Give em a chance!

We have used Scratch Kitchen on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The food quality is excellent, and timely service has been consistent.

This business focuses on catering but also delivers and you can takeout. I ordered takeout today and ordered their small lasagna which feeds up to 6 to 8 people and it was phenomenal. It had plenty of meat, cheese and spices and excellent pasta. This is perfect for takeout for families and large and small dinner parties. They also have daily entrees but you have to call by 10:00 AM to make your order for that particular day. Their Banana Pudding must be recognized! It has a rich consistency with the pudding and is not the "standard" pudding, and is mixed with vanilla wafers and bananas. This pudding has to be tasted to be believed how good it is. I also want to add that it is family run and they were so friendly and appreciative of my business. They are a hidden jewel that needs to be known about for this area.

OMG.....was that good! They did a fantastic job recently at our golf outing. The smoked salmon was a giant hit and the grilled chicken was awesome. Their salads are creative; and leave room for dessert. Colby and Ted provided very professional service on a day that had weather challenges. I hired many caterers over the years and with Scratch I got one of the best crowd Reactions ever. Great food and dependable service!

Great family run business that has high quality food at a fair price! Most importantly, they run the business the way it should be run - customer first! If they make a mistake, they more than make up for it. We've bought from them for large events, single-family meals, and multi-family meals, and every experience was very positive. Highly recommend supporting them!

Yum! Went for the first time today for brisket. It was by far the best I've ever had. Will be back for sure.

Southlake absolutely LOVES Scratch Kitchen!! It's the tastiest, freshest, "take home" food that my family has ever eaten. Everything that we've tried has been absolutely delicious! The salmon is especially outstanding. My teenage boys and husband can't get enough of their chicken and waffles & ribs . And we all love to snack on their healthy protein balls. The menu changes daily & if you text the word : SCRATCH to 313131, you will receive a daily menu sent to your phone. What makes Scratch Kitchen so unique is that it's family owned. The owners, Ted and Judy are always there happily working their tails off with their 2 sons. They are also extremely supportive of our local community. Everything is made fresh & to go and made only after you order it. ( Please note, this is not a sit down restaurant, it's all made to take home to eat). You can choose to call ahead if you are in a rush and/or know what you want in advance. Do yourself a favor, don't cook, let Scratch kitchen do the home-made from-scratch cooking for you. You won't be disappointed!

I am very pleased to find a great, local caterer in Scratch Kitchen. We hired them for a Christmas party and were not disappointed. As a matter of fact, every guest raved about the food. We served a well seasoned beef tenderloin grilled to perfection (medium rare), salmon with rice, roasted potato medley , roasted vegetables with mushrooms and asparagus along with a strawberry spinach salad. I provided the appetizer and dessert but with the quality of dinner we experienced, no doubt their complete menu is superb. Colby and another employ stayed to serve. It was quite an evening and providing great food will make your event a success.

Very tasty! Vey convenient! It makes it easy to have dinner on the table after a hectic day. It's really about the same price as fast food and so much healthier.

Great place to get high quality meals. Simply prepared. Great taste and great convenience. We love the bacon wrapped meatloaf, the chicken and waffles and the roast beef. Ted will also adjust your meal for dietary or other preferences.

Meals and desserts are amazing. Service is impeccable. Perfect for thanksgiving & Christmas. I would absolutely recommend the Chef's Table for a special event, we had a great time!

Unoriginal recipes, found a HUGE piece of foil or something in my food, basically come here if you are too lazy to cook a recipe you can find on FoodNetwork/Allrecipes.

Went on a barbecue day and got ribs and brisket. Both were excellent, basic salt and pepper rub allows the meat and smoke to be the stars. Hash born casserole was a rich cheesy delight and their take on cole slaw (veggies plus ramen noodles and sunflower kernels) was a great rendition of an often overlooked side.
