Excellent service — welcoming and knowledgeable florists with a “can do” attitude. Less than a week before my daughter’s wedding, we had to scramble to find a florist to help with a large arrangement and a six foot garland. Scrims was more than willing to help. The arrangements were stunning. A week later, many of the flowers were still beautiful.

I stopped by today to pick out a couple of plants for my office space. I have a North-facing window, so the lovely sales associate (whose name I *should* have requested but forgot to) helped me with some lower light options. I am thrilled with the beautiful pothos she helped me pick out, as well as the hardy little snake plant. On top of the incredible quality of their product, they offer fair prices. Thank you for a great experience!

A lovely and welcoming environment, truly a jewel on Elgin. At any point one can look into this lovely store and see all sorts of unique plants and festive decorations. The team goes above and beyond to foster an educated and professional service you just can't get anywhere else! The BEST place to purchases plants from locally! I walk by Scrim’s everyday and the plants in their window are always so full and beautiful. I decided to take the plunge and purchase 3 new plants and two pots for my jungle. The plants were so FULL and even had a bunch of new baby leaves getting ready. I was very surprised for the price of the plants how full they were. I will definitely be back soon to purchase more plants!!

My favourite florist in the city! I've gotten lots of my amazing plants from them and I love how they are always super helpful with questions and if you need any help with your plant care after your purchase they are always there for you. Amazing selection and great quality.

Great selection of plants and pots. Occasionally has some very unique plants that are difficult to find in Ottawa. Also has some unique planters. I find the prices slightly high for plants/pots, but given it is spacious and in the core, I totally understand.

Ordered flowers for my friend in Canada. She loved them, and said the florist was super considerate amidst coronavirus to call ahead and make sure willing to accept flowers, and walked her through their precautions to keep surfaces, people and flowers sanitary. Would order again!

I am a fan of Scrim's Florist. They have lovely bouquets for mother's day and valentine's day--absolutely beautiful. But what keeps me going back is the house plants. Every plant I've gotten at Scrim's has been beautiful and done really well. I wouldn't really say I have a green thumb, nor am I death to all houseplants--and the staff at Scrim's has always been really knowledgeable and helped me choose plants that are not toxic for my plant-chewing cat and that are pretty easy for me to care for (and therefore won't die on me). The plants have always been healthy and survived the move from the flower shop to my apartment--I have one plant that has doubled in height and is just doing beautifully. I've picked up housewarming gifts here as well, the staff are always really prompt and happy to help. Gold stars all around. Also, they do a great job wrapping up the plants for you. I picked one up in winter one time and she wrapped it a few layers to protect it from the wind and put a cute little ribbon and sticker on it--simple and pretty.

I was ordering flowers on the phone from maine to go to Canada. The florist seemed like the owner because she was so helpful and patient and like a flower encyclopedia. She got my sensibility right away and put together an arrangement of unusual flowers and leaves that my friend was ecstatic to receive. And the price was right. Thanks very much!

Came in today to pick out a plant for a birthday gift and had a wonderful experience. I am not knowledgable on plants but was provided with all the info needed to care for the plant. Would recommend Scrim's to anyone!

I called from Toronto to order flowers a few days ahead for an Ottawa friend who loves pink. I wanted pink roses, but there were only red ones on hand. So I compromised and said I'd take the red but would also add other pink blooms to the mix. Amazingly, my friend sent a picture of the bouquet when it arrived -- and I found that Scrim's had gone to the trouble of sourcing fresh pink roses for her instead of sending the red ones we'd agreed on. And the upshot was that it's two weeks later and those blooms are still going strong. THANK YOU! The only thing I would add -- my bad. I should have asked for the blooms to be delivered in a vase rather than lying in a box for my friend to arrange for herself. Not her long suit. Make sure to check when you order how the blooms are to be delivered.

A lovely, accommodating place! I found out one afternoon that I was to attend a supper at a family friend's place, and was in a pinch to bring a hostess gift. Popped into Scrimm's, explained what was up, gave them a budget and they prepared me a sweet bouquet to bring along. It took 10 minutes, and I looked like a super star at the supper. I know nothing about flowers, and the staff were non-judgemental about that. They were kind, the flowers were beautiful, and I feel like I got a great product for what I paid. If I need flowers again I'll be hitting up Scrimm's for sure!

If you need a florist, you need to come here. I originally stopped by for help with some plants that I inherited when I got a new office. I don't know much about plants but I thought these plants looked sickly. I took some pictures and sought advice. I was very happy that the staff took the time to help me without trying to sell me anything. I decided to go back a few weeks later to buy some flowers for my significant other and was happy with their service and selection. Their prices were also very reasonable. Scrim's also has a good selection of pots if you are looking to replant! I know that doesn't seem like much but it's nice to have options other than plastic or plain terra cotta. :)

My boyfriend surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my university graduation. My bouquet is so stunning not only made all of my pictures that much better, but I'll get to enjoy them on my kitchen table for days to come. I will definitely return the next time I need an arrangement or bouquet!

On Halloween, my husband and I went in to Scrim's Florist. As a last-minute decision, we had decided to add corsages to add to our "Joker and Harley Quinn's Prom" theme. We were greeted by a florist resplendent in purple wizard robes. While it was near closing (around 4 and they close at 5 on Saturdays), "The Wizard" was extremely helpful and quickly whisked us up into the corsage making business. He asked us what our costumes were and when we dropped the DC comic character names, he was drawing a blank (maybe he's more of a Marvel fan ;)). We offered instead the colour themes we wanted and he helped us to find flowers that matched our theme perfectly. My husband was particularly excited as the flower chosen was a near match to that of the 1989's Jack Nicholson's Joker in Batman. The Wizard started to work and told us to come back and they would be ready shortly and so it was that about 45 minutes later we held in our hands two newly minted DC villain themed corsages. The service was fast, friendly, and the final product was beautiful. I will definitely be coming back for future flower needs!

Had such an amazing experience with Scrims for our wedding flowers! The end result was so unique and fit perfectly with my vision. The staff went above and beyond and accommodated our needs with ease. Highly recommend.
