Great stay. Staff were consistently friendly & professional. Governors Suite room was spacious, well-kept & very comfortable for a weeks’ stay. Five restaurant options provided plenty of choices. Good to very good food overall although I wish they had more bowls with veggie & protein options beyond salads. Decent gym. Far enough away to be quiet and relaxing, but easy to reach. Short 5 min walk from the EIS airport to reach Scrub Island ferry service, which was prompt & convenient, so once you land it's a short ride to reach the resort. Overall very nice facilities & we will consider returning next year. Liked: staff, cleanliness, room/bed comfort, check-in, communication, location.

We only stayed one night but we had an awesome overall experience. Food and service was a 10/10. Dinner and ambiance on Marina cay was fantastic. Our room which was more like a condo had everything anyone would want especially a young family - kitchen and washer/dryer plus water front views. Super nice walk to the beach on backside of resort. Super convenient to beef island airport.

Our stay was incredible. Our flight was cancelled out of Tortola (twice) so we needed a place to stay last minute both nights. Steve was very helpful both nights with getting us a reservation. Steve was a breath of fresh air as we came off of the ferry after two long days sitting in the airport, he was also very professional and always smiling. The resort is beautiful and very clean. The restaurants and their staff are amazing, I still dream about the Scrub Pasta. Yum!! The market and sandwiches are mouthwatering. My husband and I will definitely be coming back for a longer stay so we can enjoy the pools more and the beach.

Good to very good food overall although I wish they had more bowls with veggie & protein options beyond salads. Decent gym. Management was responsive when I mentioned there were no towels or cleaning wipes in the gym, and they corrected that. Peaceful atmosphere, less busy and crowded than a large all-inclusive. Good value for what we paid. Easy to reach from the EIS airport & ferry service was prompt & convenient. Overall very nice facilities & we will consider returning next year.

We stayed for one night in the marina. The marina staff was great! Very helpful when we arrived. The last time we stayed here was about 10 years ago and the owners have not put much money into it since. It is a great location, and had a lot of amenities for kids but the place is just starting to get worn down. It really is a shame. They have a water slide, but there is a chunk of cement missing and could use a new paint coat. There is a trampoline in the water, but hasn't been blown up in about two months. We ate dinner and the staff was great but there was a lifetime show blasting on all the TVs that really brought the ambiance down. As much as the kids had fun at the pool, I am not sure we will be back until updates are made.

Well appointed resort but with very hit and miss customer service, with understaffed bars and reception, with staff unable to deal with customers quickly or politely. American owned and designed for the American market, it is supposedly a 5 star hotel, but not by European standards. Its hard to find peace and quiet (if that’s what you like) with a very busy pool, plus a lot of live music during dinner!, but there is a beautiful private beach part of the resort 10 min walk from the marina/accommodation which is not far off paradise!

Stayed here for three nights before a charter. The hotel seemed pretty much empty, but the dock was full as it was 'full-moon party' time across in Trellis Bay. I had asked for a non-marina view room in advance as we did not want the noise from the docks, and we were allocated one overlooking Marina Cay, which was nice (N.B. despite the name, it's an island, not a marina!).||The room was rather 'corporate' with no real local touches, which felt like a missed opportunity, but was a good size with all expected amenities, and a nice balcony with a couple of chairs. Whilst that balcony space was at a premium, squeezing in a small table would be an improvement for coffee mugs, drink glasses, camera etc.||We had breakfast for the first two mornings. Both times we were the only guests. Service was good, and the food tasty, but the cappuccinos were very poor.||The pool area was lovely, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. The spa pool/jacuzzi was rather on the warm side, but pleasant enough. As the boats mooring on the dock were able to buy 'resort passes' to access the pool facilities, the pool area became packed by lunchtime, which meant longer waits to be served at the swim-up bar, and a much less relaxed experience generally with boat crews of 8 or so people each filling up the pool area. The lower pool area was much quieter, but the bar there wasn't open. We had an unfortunate misunderstanding with our bill as it seemed to have been mixed up with another customer's with the same surname, meaning we were presented with a bill for hundreds of dollars for just a couple of drinks. Fortunately after some discussion this was resolved. The bar staff were trying their hardest but seemed very short-staffed for the volume of people they had to deal with.||We did the Wednesday evening 'North Beach' party, but probably wouldn't do so again. The (buffet) food was nice, albeit they ran out of most desserts before we got up to choose one, but the entertainment wasn't really our cup of tea, with conga and 'YMCA' dancing around the pool.||The ferry to and from Trellis Bay was timely and convenient, and the hotel organised our taxi to Roadtown after we had checked out. The ferry also takes people to and from Marina Cay, which has a great restaurant. We ate there whilst at Scrub, and then again once on charter, and both times it appeared full with queues for tables. We would have liked to try the watersports there (Hobie Cat) but it was closed on the day we were interested in.||The Scrub staff were generally friendly, but the majority were clearly on 'island time' most of the time, with no sense of urgency for anything, including our bags being collected from our room for check-out; with 15 mins to go before our ferry departure, the promised assistance had not arrived, so my husband carried all our bags down to the ferry by himself (lots of steps and no lift).||Overall we enjoyed our stay at Scrub, and would probably return, but I would hesitate to book in peak periods.

What can I say but wow. That place is absolutely amazing. While the Marina beach was small, we had a blast swimming around and bouncing off the trampoline. The two pools were also amazing. Really good food and exemplary service rounded out the trip. I was amazed at the attention to detail. Cannot wait to go back!
