Definitely a must go if you are a cider fan! Their flights consist of eight tastings but you can try them all! I did eight and liked every single one! Wish I would have tried them. All! Others I was with had food and I sampled everything. It was very good! From the artichoke dip and brie to the nachos all was outstanding!

Pretty certain most downtown city stores are going to ha e this rough of a time hiring anyone who remotely cares about actually working. Upon entry, there is no sign or any notification to seat ourselves. The bartender had about 4 people to attend to, and there was no attempt to say, "please sit anywhere," it literally took a regular to tell us that. So once seated, we weren't greeted with any menus or water or any direction how this place operates. The only worker we see is the bartender and she busied herself more with conversation and assisting the bar, than to at least give us a starting point. Turns out, you walk up to order your meal, or your water, or even place an inquiry about menus. Which each time, the said bartender was quite dissatisfied with our assurance. Once all of that interaction was done. We finally got our meals. Now, I can see why people come here, it's genuinely good food. Not to mention their ciders are pretty on point. It just sucks that the service was just so aweful.

Anyone in the area needs to stop in for an ice cold blackberry cobbler cider. This was DELICIOUS as a mid day thirst quencher. For those looking for a dessert cider, my husband had the chocolate cherry cider. Everyone here is friendly and welcoming.

Google
Their hours are incorrect on both google and their website. They did not open until 11am on Sunday. Nice variety of ciders, we got two flights to try each of their on tap ciders. Layout of the place is a little confusing because they share the space with the donut shop, it was difficult to find someone working the bar and the donut shop employees kept going to find someone working on the Scrumpys side. Overall good food and drinks that would bring us back again.

Google
One of the best bars I've ever been to! I recommend this place to everyone!! The staff is super nice and very knowledgeable! The food was amazing, but the Cider is unbeatable! I can't wait to go back someday! We tried to talk the owner into opening up one here in KC! I wish we would have bought more than a 4 pack to bring home!

Google
The Poutine Fries are unbelievable! The gravy is so absolutely tasty. It enhanced the flavor of the ciders that we had. The ciders enhanced the flavor of the fries. I wish I would have taken a photo to share. These are a must try!!!!

Google
an elusive 5 Star place!!! I've never had a bad time at scrumpies! summit cider is wonderful and you can't go wrong with the magpie or blueberry lavender! their pulled pork sandwich is delicious. wonderful little booths to hole up and read and really fun community events!

Google
We did the eight cider flight. Johnny Wren is probably the most traditional cider. The apple strudel was a bit overpowering with the cinnamon. The peach was wonderful and reminded us of Colorado. The cardinal was actually too cranberry. The blueberry was not good at all as it tipped the scales towards lavender soap. The bourbon barrel was delicious and very drinkable. Dancing with squirrels was very wine light but drinkable. The tart cherry was sweet and if you like cherry, it was very good. The pulled pork was absolutely delicious. The blue and bacon burger was also extremely good. We did have a great time.

Yelp
We had a fantastic time hanging out here before a show at The Comedy Fort. Our bartender was really fun to chat with and had great recommendations for ciders and food. The combination of the Rasbanero & Cherry Chocolate Cider was my personal favorite. The popper burger was great, really flavorful and cooked perfectly. The mac'n'cheese was spicy, which was fun, and a little on the al dente side. There were a handful of parking spots available nearby on a Sunday evening.

Yelp
I went to Scrumpy's after hearing they have gluten free fried chicken that's made in a dedicated gf fryer. The food was not good at all. The fried chicken was soggy and not crispy, and had an odd taste and texture overall. Maybe I went when they were having an off night? I'll never know because it was so bad that I will not ever try it again.

Yelp
My wife and I went during our honeymoon. The atmosphere was fun! They had live music for us to listen to. I think it was their open mic night. We got the loaded fries, burgers, and a 8 drink cider flight. We had a great time ranking our ciders. It was a great date! They sell some of their ciders in cans to take home. We agreed on the cardinal and the dry special reserve.

Yelp
The food and drinks are always perfection and incredible. The employees there feel like family and they always go out of their way to give you great service. This is my 3rd time there and it never disappoints. Best espresso martinis in town!! The ciders are super fresh and I love that they always have games or a different event almost every time I'm there. I LOVE Scrumpy's!!!

Yelp
I'll start this review with my favorite part- Not only do they offer flights of 8 tasters, but I was overjoyed to find out that they even offer a super flight with one of everything they have on tap - all 18! We ordered this for our table of 4 and it was fun passing each glass around, discussing the flavors, and selecting our favorites. Their ciders range from dry to sweet, with some of the most creative flavors I've seen in a while. I loved the berry inspired flavors, the Cardinal, which was orange/cranberry/ginger (I believe) was another delicious sip.

Yelp
I have been here twice and really enjoyed it both times. The food and ciders are delicious, and the service is good. Awesome spot to hang out in Fort Collins.
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! We come every other year from Denver and it gets better each time. The hard ciders are really good. I recommend the flight because you get to choose from eight different flavors. I really enjoyed pumpkin, peach, and Lemon water. The food was also very good. We had the chicken nachos. We met the owner and she was very nice. I'd highly recommend this place for any type of get together! It's a great low key vibe.

Yelp
I had two visits within a short amount of time. I literally ordered the exact same thing both times. Call me a creature of habit. They have a Champagne-like cider called Special Reserve Dry. Tiny bubbles with great tart flavor and a dry finish. I know they make other wonderful ciders, but this is my fav for sure! As to food, twice I've ordered the Mediterranean Chicken and twice I've loved it. The chicken has a yogurt marinade and is grilled to perfection. I love cucumber so anything with tzaziki as the sauce is a winner for me. Then they pile on cucumber, tomato, lettuce and onion. The sprinkle of feta gives it a nice tart. This pairs perfectly with the dry cider. You order up at the bar, get your beverages, number and head to your table. Now, a must do. Leave room for dessert. Walk to the other side of the bar from where you ordered to find FoCo DoCo. Donuts are ordered in sets of two. They make them when you order. They are still warm and crispy! We got cinnamon sugar donuts to top off our meal. Delish!!

Sydney M.

Yelp
Looking for something different! Try Scrumpy's! Food is DELISH - my faves: Brie Holder burger, candied bacon, fromage a trois, baked Brie-Stini! Cider selection - out of this world! Della's Apple Strudel is my personal fave. Add in entertainment with free shows by local bands and events like karaoke, salsa lessons & dancing and trivia night and this place can't be beat!!! Ambiance is warm and cozy. Once you sit down, you don't want to leave.

Yelp
An update based on the business owner's response: There was no line when we got there. It was not busy. Maybe it had been earlier in the day but there were several empty tables and no line when we walked in. Firstly, my burger was not pink. It bled. It was so completely underdone that even my rare burger loving husband said it was not okay. Secondly, maybe we did miss the sign so I'll take that hit, but telling me that I 'likely didn't hear' the instructions is a lovely way to blame the customer. Thirdly, I am loving that you seem to remember my meal, my order, and my visit so specifically despite it being your busiest day in 5 years. Kudos to you for having what appears to be an amazing memory. I didn't see you standing next to the bartender washing all the dishes when I went up to have my order corrected, but if that's the case I'll own not having seen you there and not point out that it would be very odd to have your dishwashing station next to the front door, but I digress. In summary, 1) The food and service were bad 2) Nice job of blaming the customer and 'busy weekend' for your shortcomings 3) $50 for the level of food and service we got is robbery. Two meals and an appetizer (please don't forget that we had no drinks, just our one glass of water to share) was not worth what we paid. 4) I wasn't so much slamming your customers as I was letting them know that there is better food and service out there, so I'm going to go ahead and stand by my comment. The good news for you is that I won't be back so you won't have to worry about me leaving another bad review. SCORE!

Yelp
If you like ciders this is the place for you in FoCo! We stopped into Scrumpy's for a quick beverages and a small bite. There are plenty of cider La to select from and the bartender gave us some great recommendations (I.e. ordering two and combing them because the flavors meld well together). The second bartender has us with a full on sampling of beverages we were debating on since I prefer more drier ciders. We orders two appetizers - buffalo tots and spinach and artichoke dip, both were good. The tots were a nice vegetarian alternative to buffalo wings and there was just the right amount t of buffalo flavor/sauce that they weren't overwhelming. The bread that came with the spinach and attics dip was on point! Crispy but a little soft in the middle! If your in the area, spot in grab a pint and an app!

Grace B.

Yelp
I come here for community events and they're always really fun, it helps that the burgers are some of the best in town. Staff is often the same people which is a huge green flag to me that they treat their people right. Ciders have been hit or miss but that is just personal opinion; I've really disliked some that my friends have said they loved. I'm hoping the watermelon cider will be back in the summer--it's my fave!

Yelp
Whoa! This place is outstanding!! The food was phenomenal and so was the service. It's really cool inside; we were there for brunch but I can tell it would be a GREAT place for drinks after work or a girls' night out. We tried so many things; gluten free chicken tenders (amazing) artichoke dip (so beautifully plated and a real twist with the jalapeño heat!!) French onion soup (cheesy goodness), BLT (great bacon), green chili Mac and cheese (not overly sauced, PERFECTLY seasoned), cider pulled pork (tender and gorgeous with the cabbage) and a glorious strawberry waffle for dessert!!! The bbq sauce is great; more of a Carolina flavor which I don't see that often!! Even the french fries were unusually great; so crispy but not overcooked at all, light salt and pepper and they held up until the entrees were gone without getting all limp and weird. We had two celiacs with us and both of them felt like the meal they had here at Scrumpy's was the absolute best gluten-free meal they've ever had at a restaurant. Just perfect!!! The ambiance is pretty cool: old church pews and net lights and high ceilings... really pretty. You can tell it's a favorite among the locals; we overheard several people talking as they came in and it was clear they were (happy) regulars. Planning to make a stop here when we come back through Fort Collins again!!!

Josh S.

Yelp
First time coming here and I have to say this place is my go to place to get brunch/lunch. Everyone was super nice and the food was amazing! The cider options are awesome and taste great!

Yelp
While doing what people do in Fort Collins (drinking all the beer + beverages you can get your hands on), my husband and I stopped in at Scrumpy's. Scrumpy's has a huge menu of ciders + beer - amazing how many cider flavors they have! It took me a few minutes to scan the menu & decide what to get, and the lady behind the counter was kind enough to let me sample whatever I wanted. I only sampled one and it's the one I got - the campfire! I liked it because it wasn't too sweet but it had a really good flavor. My husband opted for a beer - the Sad Panda Coffee Stout (always a good choice). We only sat in for one drink, but the atmosphere was really great with a fireplace in the back and booths throughout. I'd come back here to check out their food + more drinks!

Yelp
Great Cider and pretty decent food. Used to love going to this bar until they changed it over to a fast food style restaurant where you order at the front and keep having to go back up for more drinks instead of having a waitress come and take your order. Also even though they ditched the waitress/waiter service they still have the nerve to ask for a tip. Def won't go back until the get there together and get back to being an actual bar/restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised with the ambiance at Scrumpys. Think a mix of a donut/coffee shop and a brewery with some sweet eclectic furniture and decor! I appreciated the variety of ciders on tap and tried the bartenders suggestion. I'm not much of a cider person but they have some that aren't as sweet. They've also got some beers on tap top(my brother in law ordered one and not sure if the tap line wasnt clean or the beer was skunked but it tasted off) I didn't realize they have donuts at certain times as well! I will be back to try them the next time I'm in fort Collins

Yelp
Cool place to hang out with great ciders! Location is super convenient to the rest of old town!

Yelp
OMG!!!!!!!!!! There was not one cider I did not like. The ciders all had excellent taste and flavor. I think I tried almost every one that was available. The service was great and the minute someone walked up to the bar someone greeted them. The vibe was just perfect for Fort Collins. This is a most return to type of place.

Blake E.

Yelp
Fantastic brunch!!! The slow cooked corned beef can hold its own against the best in Fort Collins. The serving size of the apple cider pancakes with candied pecans, apple slices and cider syrup was gigantic and amazing!!

Patty D.

Yelp
Wishing there was a 10-star rating. From the beautiful wood decor to the drinks to the cool staff, the place is amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Easy street parking. Tasty hand formed burgers cooked to order. Sandwiches on delicious, toasted bun. Owner came out to say hello and ask if we needed anything. Casual, trendy atmosphere good for couples or families. Indoor or outdoor seating. Wish we lived closer. The perry was fantastic!

Shawn X.

Yelp
Brittany L. And Bryce M amazing plus the dj oh so so amazing Felix brisenio salsa dancing!!! Omg!! Great time!!!

Yelp
Delicious as always. My favorite sandwich shop in Fort Collins. We come every time we are in town. They have weird hrs but we find time.
google avatar

Jeanine C.

Yelp
This place had amazing food, and pretty much everything could be done gluten free! We enjoyed everything we got. You order at the bar and they bring everything out to you.

Melanie A.

Yelp
Scrumpy's has the best ciders I have ever had. They also have amazing bartenders that make the experience that much better. Liam especially is so kind and welcoming. The interior is clean and has some fun seating to relax and catch up with friends.
google avatar

Alexandra D.

Yelp
Let's me begin by saying that the ciders here are the best thing ever. The peach, the raspberry habanero and the pineapple are some of my favorite ones. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice beverage on a hot summer day. They do serve food as well, a few appetizers and mostly sandwiches. They are served warm with chips and they are really good. A little small but totally delicious! You can also take some ciders to go if you like and believe me it is worth the drive since you can't find it in stores ;)

Gus R.

Yelp
They have amazing drinks. The ciders were flavored SO well. It was so cool to try a flight. When they name the drinks, believe it is going to taste like that in the best way possible. I ordered a sandwich and didn't realize i couldn't have an ingredient on it until part way through but they were so nice about remaking it so I could eat it without dire consequences. The servers were welcoming and nice. Had a blast hanging out there with friends.

Becky W.

Yelp
We love Summit cider!!! Wish we could find it in NC. Such a treat. The "Cardinal" cider was great and perfect for the holidays. Bought several 4 packs of different flavors to go. Will be back next time we're in Colorado.

Jessica B.

Yelp
Great cider made with local apples. Women owned, Jennifer is the sweetest, most hardworking, and passionate owner. Great food favorite has been the gf chicken strips and Normandy sandwich. They also have other local beers and MEAD!
google avatar

Ben N.

Yelp
Good food but the ciders are very average tasting. Very nice staff and owners. The other drinks are probably better.
google avatar

Robin T.

Yelp
The food was so good and the flights were amazing! Will definitely be going back very soon!
google avatar

Nora A.

Yelp
We go here everytime family and friends come to town. A couple cider flights are shared, and everyone chooses a favorite to have a regular pint of, and we play one of the many games found on shelves tucked into crannys around the bar. Did i mention the food? there are great sandwiches, finger food platters. and even GF foods and kids menus!!I recommend Scrumpy's Cider if you are looking to experience Downtown Fort Collins!!

Zoe K.

Yelp
best cider in fort collins, the blueberry lavender was like nothing i've ever tasted. Service was amazing and nachos were bomb.
google avatar

Bart S.

Yelp
Nothing special in the atmosphere department, but an amazingly diverse selections of craft ciders. If you love ciders, don't pass up paying a visit and taking home a multi pack.

Yelp
Really chill local bar. Definitely good for an intimate sitting with a friend and even good for a group of friends. Tables and room for both! What I liked about this place is that I felt very comfortable coming here after a long day, and was able to sit down and have both good cider and good food. I had a flight of cider, and they all tasted really good. Yup, I said all of the ciders. My favorite was the strawberry basil cider. I also had the "Normandy" sandwich, on gluten free bread, which was so interesting it made me smile. Weird, but cool, and tasted good. This was the best gluten free bread I've had in Colorado, hands down. Try it. Yes, you get 5 stars, because I have no gripes with this place. I suggest coming by Scrumy's to have drinks and food. It will be a good ol' time!
google avatar

Jenni L.

Yelp
It has good food, good cider, and fun as well as calm atmosphere. I definitely recommend giving it a try.
google avatar

Miranda B.

Yelp
Fantastic food and delicious ciders! Hubby enjoyed the beer and daughter loved her pressed apple juice. Atmosphere was top notch and I appreciated the fact that they had canned cider to go! 10/10 would definitely recommend and would visit again if I'm in town.

Yelp
Scrumpys used to be my all time favorite place. I will never not love the cider, the owners, and the employees who started there and have been around a long time but after last night I will not eat there again. They used to accommodate my gluten allergy in such an amazing manner but the last two times I've ordered to go they have messed up and made me sick. The first time they sent me home with a completely different sandwich then I ordered and it wasn't gluten free so who knows what customer ended up with my gluten free sandwich. I called and no joke the girl was so drunk (my bf who picked up the food had said he could tell they had been drinking) and she was apologizing and trying to find my order online, just talking in complete circles for 20 minutes so that was super tacky. Last night they sent the correct sandwich but not on gluten free bread and they forgot to give my bf the ciders. Again they had been drinking. I know it has always been a thing that the employees drink on the job there but if it's going to lose you customers you've had since you've been new, you may want to reconsider your actions and pay attention to orders ... especially allergy related ones. It's such a bummer bc I have made amazing memories and had delicious food and drinks there over the past several years.

Oscar S.

Yelp
They have a great pallet of ciders, and the food is typical but not too bad, I would recommend!
google avatar

Allison F.

Yelp
My husband and I visited Denver and noticed a distinct lack of hard cider. Being from one of the apple capitals in the US (Michigan), I began to realize we're spoiled when it comes to hard cider. We stumbled upon this place after visiting New Belgium brewery and I could hardly contain my excitement. Finally, a place with hard cider! We tried the Flight A with a couple substitutions. I am pretty sure my husband and I only enjoyed two of the eight samples. The others were just way too sweet. It's like they just add pure sugar into the cider without enough alcohol bite to balance the flavor. I'm down with funky flavors, but they were just too much for me. Definitely worth a shot if you're from Colorado where hard cideries are rare.
google avatar

Heather T.

Yelp
When an owner and team are enthusiastic about what they do, it transcends to the customer. We walked in before noon on a Sunday and I made a joke about it being too early to drink alcohol. Rodney (co-owner) didn't skip a beat when he answered as long as it was cider. My husband and I sat at the bar and I ordered Flight A, he got the house made cherry cider. There were two house made ciders - Hopricot and Sour Cherry. They ended up being two of our favorites so much that we took some Hopricot home with us. As with most tastings, there were some that we really liked (pineapple infused and apple pie) and some that we found to be not on our favorites list. We were able to take little samples of some other ciders not on the tasting menu as well all enthusiastically presented to us by the employee (didn't catch her name), Rodney or Jennifer (co-owner/cider master!). AND we got to see the fermenting room where I learned more about cider. Really spectacular and I am excited to see the Fort Collins market grasp on to ciders as much as our beloved microbrews. It's well worth it!
google avatar

Mandy L.

Yelp
I grew up in Fort Collins when there was no Scrumpy's. Visiting family one time, I found this new "cider bar" and had to check it out. Now, it's on my must-visit list every time I make a trip home! If you are a cider hound, this is the place to go! They have varieties from sweet to dry, fruity to spicy. They have some permanent standards and also a rotating variety that they make right there in house! If you have a hard time deciding, the server will happily give you suggestions, or you can try one of their cider flights! An added bonus is that they also have a selection of mead. This is amazing because there are VERY few places to buy mead by the glass - and they even have a few options! Lastly, I would be remiss if I did not mention their amazing food. They go far above and beyond your standard bar food. They clearly pay close attention to quality ingredients. Their sandwiches are gourmet quality and they even have gluten-free bread options if you need. I ordered the "Normandy" sandwich. Great combination of flavors and went great with the cider! I also had the cheese/meat plate with rolled mozzarella and prosciutto. Amazing!

Yelp
Dropped in quite on accident basis where we parked ... the reviews got us through the door ... - great atmosphere - decent sandwich menu *but you don't come here to eat per se - THE DRINK MENU KICKS ASS! ... if u like cider ... and every better ... like cider as mixers ... you MUST check this place out! *Fireball *Guinness *Vodka *Spicy!

Colette C.

Yelp
Terrific ciders! But great food too! My husband and daughter had celiac so it's hard to find a place to go that doesn't just serve beer. Of course a cider place is good for them, but they were in heaven because the tots were gluten free too!! I had a hamburger that was excellent ( in fact we came here because someone on NextDoor recommended this place for the burgers). It's a great little restaurant.
google avatar

Melanie A.

Yelp
Scrumpy's is an amazing Old Town favorite! I have celiac and love and appreciate their extensive gluten free food & drink offerings. We've been here many times to enjoy their cider flights, happy hour, and appetizer selection. The service is quick and friendly and the restaurant is laid back. Yesterday I had the pleasure of trying their Blackberry cider and it was probably my favorite of all the ciders I've tried! We also had the baked brie crostini which was delicious and their homemade jelly was yummy as well. Prices are good and it's located just north of the main Old Town area, close enough to walk but more laid back. A must-visit!

Chuck J.

Yelp
Great environment, Jennifer (one of the owners) were so nice. Loved the food, and the ciders were amazing!
google avatar

Jill H.

Yelp
I was really excited to try Scrumpy's because I'm more of a cider person and less of a beer person. My hubby and I came just for a flight of cider; we did not order any food. We came on a Monday afternoon around 5:00 pm. The lady at the bar was friendly and introduced us to the flights currently offered. We grabbed a spot at a booth and settled on the flight which included 8 in-house ciders. They had some interesting options such as a blueberry lavender infused cider. It was unique and the aromas of this cider and the other ciders were what struck me the most. But none of he ciders "wowed" me, hence the 3-star rating. There were none that I felt like grabbing a pint of, although the blueberry lavender one grew on me as I sipped it. I didn't care for the dry cider. And while I commend them for trying a raspberry habanero cider, this one wasn't for me or my husband. Too much burn in the throat for my liking. There was an apple pie cider (I forget it's exact name) that smelled just like a spiced fall treat. :-) We'll probably give this place another try although I'd probably choose a flight that included outside source ciders.
