Wonderful, friendly staff; great seaside location! Large 2-storey apartment was perfect for our family of 5. The big balcony overlooking the main pool and the ocean was the perfect location to watch the sunset, play cards, and enjoy family meals. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and was a fun place to celebrate New Year’s Eve and watch the nearby fireworks. We did most of our own cooking though. Didn’t try the breakfasts, as we were heading out early every day to scuba dive with the dive centre that’s just a couple of doors down the street. All in all, a wonderful place that we’d come back to!

Highly recommend! Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location! Near many delicious restaurants, and only a short walk to shops and historic Curacao highlights. The hotel is clean and located right on the water, offering gorgeous views! Watch the sunset from the many waterfront locations, including select hotel rooms, waterfront seating, an oceanside infinity pool, or the hotel restaurant!
The hotel and restaurant staff were all friendly and helpful! The hotel has charm and character. Our group of five had a gorgeous walk up apartment with a fully stocked kitchen, covered porch, and washing machine. Perfect for a girls’ weekend!

We chose Scuba Lodge because we wanted to be in a trendy neighborhood in Willemstad and we wanted to use the associated scuba shop, Petermai Dive Shop. The hotel was quiet, nice grounds with two pools by the ocean and the staff were very accommodating. The restaurant was good and usually busy, which is a positive sign. That said, our best meal (we had many very good ones in the neighborhood) was at Mosa/Cana just down the street. Parking is on the street and safe - we used a rental car (D&D). Our group used the dive shop every day, finishing advanced certification and renting gear for shore dives. Their instructors were terrific. Initially, we thought about renting an Airbnb on the island, but at the end of the trip, we all agreed that Scuba Lodge had been the right choice.

EDIT as response on the owner:
You are also the manager of the ART hotel where the noise is coming from. So that everything is outside your control is not entirely true..
And please have a look at room 22 and see for yourself. Also check the upper part of the closet

This review is based on an average price of 200 euro per night.
The building next to the hotel is being renovated big time. This causes tremendous noise pollution in part of the hotel rooms, the swimming pool and the beach area. No where it is stated on any booking site or their own website that this is the case. The constructors start at 7:00 until 17:00 from Monday to Sunday.
Once finally in your room after a good stroll to Willemstad (yes the hotel is actually located pretty good) and you want to go to sleep you cannot. Since the hotel rooms are not isolated you will be waken up by either by parties in the restaurant, drunk people on the street, or the staff that is dragging the garbage bins outside the hotel premises at 01:00 am
The hotel consists of 5 monumental buildings that has been constructed to a hotel. Although it looks quite nice, the rooms themselves are quite basic dated and quite dusty as well.
Upon check-in the lady specifically told me to NOT open the window. Curious as I was I oncourse did. There was no problem with the window, but more with the view.
Room 22 specifically is horrible with a few to the construction of the neighbors (within 1 meter), no other windows, and in desperate need for a rehaul
We were transferred to room 6 after complaining about the noise. This is located way better at the opposite side of the hotel. Room was a little bit better, but really nothing spectacular. Bathroom tiles were crooked, the shower floods the whole bathroom. Paint is falling off the walls, there are no curtains. No space for your suitecase, closet has seen better times. But a nice shared balcony!
The restaurant connected to the hotel is ok, the breakfast expensive and mediocre.
Swimming pool and beach area are quite nice, if it wasn’t for the noise as mentioned before. Area is clean but lacks shade.
Of course I have shared my thoughts already with the staff on location. At first they pretended that nothing was wrong, but after some pressure they did offer tickets for the beach club next to the hotel. It is a nice gesture, but it doesn’t make up for everything.
From a service level I think everyone who works there is quite nice. BUT they lack experience in the service industry, and it shows on all aspects of the hotel.
I would not return to this hotel

We loved our one week stay!!! The star of this hotel is definitely their amazing staff!!!! They are so friendly and accommodating! The staff also went out of their way to make my birthday special! ||The property grounds is like a paradise with flowers and trees. There are plenty of good restaurants around so you don’t have to take your car at night.||The pool by the ocean is lovely and pool towel is available at the reception. Try to Pina Colada from the bar so good!!||We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, which was huge and had a big terrace. There is only a/c in the room and bathroom and not in the main area. Which anyways, we quickly realized that is a common thing in Curaçao and we were always outside. The terrace has two big fans and there is a fan in the living room. ||Will definitely return to this property if we ever vacation again in Curaçao.

We had such a great time! I loved the vibe of the hotel—small and in a great location. The restaurant was amazing! The rooms were excellent, super spacious, and the apartments as well. The only issue with the apartments was that, since we went with the kids, we had a hard time keeping the bedroom doors closed to control the mosquitoes. The living room would be full of mosquitoes in the morning, maybe because of the season.. :(

NOT GREAT! This is our second time booked here and a lot of improvements have been made in the back of the property. However, when we checked in, the greeting was not very welcoming. When showered to our room, the lock on our door did not work! We were told the maintenance manager would be around the NEXT DAY to fix it. It is not OK to normalize leaving your passport, cash, luggag, etc, in an unlocked room while you're out exploring. It was very unnerving trying to sleep in an unlocked room with outside noises. The second night was my husband's birthday and when I made reservations at their restaurant, De Heeren, I told the hostess we wanted to celebrate his birthday. Unfortunately while other guests also celebrated their birthdays with song, desserts and laughter, we were just handed the check to pay. When I embarrassedly shared again it was his birthday, she said we'll, do you still want dessert? It was rude and the moment had passed. All this to say that safety, security and service at Scuba Lodge has great gone down. We will NOT be staying here on future trips and DO NOT recommend staying here.

Amazing place with very friendly and helpful staff. We loved our stay there! The hotel is just big enough to offer excellent amenities, yet small enough to feel cozy and private. I would highly recommend the Scuba Lodge to anyone visiting Curaçao. It’s a great place to unwind, explore the island, and enjoy everything this beautiful destination has to offer.
