Sé Boutique Hotel

Good hotel, great location, excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good, but ciould use a second espresso machine (or a faster one). Room was odd - we booked a "junior suite," but is was really just a nice-sized hotel room. Toilet was in a little room surrounded by glass walls (with curtain on one side). Shower also had glass walls. Looked like it had been designed by someone who never used a toilet or shower. Restaurant next to hotel was very good.

Honestly one of my favourite hotels I've ever stayed in. It's in an ideal location near to loads of lovely restaurants. It isn't up a steep hill which I was worried about. It's a very slight gentle slope. The hotel is fairly small, quirky and eccentric in the best possible way. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are all lovely, friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the green room was consistently very good and the rooftop bar is a lovely place to sit and admire the views all around. Can't wait to stay there again.

Blessed with a great location in the centre of town this hotel can be described as chic. Rooms are large, beds massive and breakfast is a decent wide selection, all we would add is a second coffee machine, but that’s being churlish. However the outstanding staff make this hotel a joy. Genuinely a five star nothing too much trouble approach. We travel a lot and really enjoyed spending time with this team.

Beautiful place and excellent Location. Staff are very friendly. Rooftop bar is amazing. Breakfast had lots of options. They offered me additional drinks vouchers for my birthday along with Candies and a birthday card. Also packed us a nice breakfast to go for our early flight. Staff helped us with every queries re sight seeing and eating out.

Se boutique hotel was perfect for our five night stay in madeira recently. It's in a central location near the cathedral and many other local attractions. The room was spotless and spacious and the service excellent. The buffet continental breakfast was also really good. Almost forgot about the besutiful rooftop bar with its stunning views! Thank you to the hotel team for making us feel so welcome!

This is a nice hotel in a good location with friendly, knowledgable staff. Welcome drink voucher offered at checkin. Comfortable room and the breakfast was OK, with limited choice. Enjoyed the meals we had in the restaurant.||Whilst the rooftop bar offers city views, maintenance was required as the flooring was unstable. The poor flooring caused me a problem which I raised with Management; and they addressed the matter to my satisfaction.

Great location, clean hotel with friendly staff. It’s quirky and has a great roof top bar with fabulous views. The breakfast was good with plenty of options. We were disappointed to find we had no windows to look out from and no natural light in our room. The bed was very soft and we didn’t find it comfortable. However the location and using it as a base to explore Funchal for just 3 nights was perfect.

The location of the Se Boutique Hotel could not be better. It is so well situated in the center of Funchal near every must see spots (the old town section, the public market, all types of shops and boutiques, historic buildings, museums, the waterfront, various luscious gardens and a huge array of restaurants). Staff at the hotel are friendly, professional, and always ready to help with all types of situations. They are knowledgeable about excursions, transportation solutions, and any other query you might have. The breakfast buffet is abundant and varied offering food items for all preferences. Rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and clean. The only recommendation I have is to make electrical outlets available in the bathroom. Our bathroom did not have an electrical outlet- it would have been convenient. If I return to Funchal, I won’t hesitate to stay again at the Se Boutique Hotel.
