Very good place! Great breakfast, comfy rooms with great views. I’d only say the massage was a bit off…didn’t feel fully comfortable during it. Avoid the massage and other than that this is a great hotel - beautiful views, good food and nice staff!

Traveling for business and stayed one night. This is a beautiful, relaxing hotel right on the coast. If you get a room with an ocean view, you can hear the sound of the waves at night. There are three restaurants so plenty of options for dinner. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for anyone coming through or staying in Dar

My time at sea cliff hotel has been wonderful! The location on the cliff provides gorgeous sea views especially from my beautifully decorated executive room. The service from the staff across the restaurants and reception is phenomenal and welcoming. I had a incredible experience and would recommend to all.

I was seeking a much needed experience to unwind, rejuvenate, relax and enjoy; and I got it! From the gentlemen at the gate and check-in entrance towards the reception making me feel welcome, to the Reception desk where everyone ensured I was well received and cooled down (refreshing fruity water, by the way; thanks!). Salute to Moses, Cecilia, Andrew, Diana and the whole team for receiving me, handling everything so well and ensuring my experience was top knotch from beginning to end; now that’s what I call impeccable Customer Care! My room with a view of the serenely mesmerizing Ocean was an absolute welcome to my Soul; bringing “Yassss! That’s what’s up!” Vibes. I absolutely loved Swimming by the pool while under the sky, watching the Sunset and meeting earnestly beautiful individuals there who added to my experience, swimming boldness and overall life learning; and I was well guided by encouraging Swimming coaches (shout out to Bakari and Rasheed)! My Dinner at Alcove solved my Oriental Dish Craving (Yummy) and dessert at Karambezi by the ocean breeze was the cherry on the cake; all dining staff are ever Warm, Charming and Friendly. I was really impressed by my room design, bathroom interior decor and overall room facilities plus the welcome note from Nick McAleer! I enjoyed every bit. I really did and I thank each and every person at Sea Cliff Hotel that made this possible. All this to say: THANK YOU. Best Staycation Ever! 😎♥️🌴✨

Outstanding service with very friendly staff. I love the rooms especially now that they have recently been renovated to a top notch standard. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious

I had a truly wonderful stay at the Sea Cliff Hotel in Dar es Salaam. The location is absolutely breathtaking—perched right on the edge of the ocean with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax. The staff were exceptional—kind, professional, and always ready to help. From check-in to check-out, everything ran smoothly. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a lovely view of the sea.

Location is very nice, on cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean. The rooms are clean and NOT humid :-) unlike other places we have stayed in Dar. Service wise individuals are *very* good but overall its slow and inaccurate (ask for something that never comes etc). Our visit spoiled the constant hammer drilling and hammering over two of the three days we stayed which removed ANY semblance of a romantic atmosphere we were hoping for. This really put us off returning.

For $300 a night, I expected a far higher standard. Instead, I was met with a series of disappointments that left me questioning how this hotel maintains its 5-star rating. First, avoid any rooms facing the massive casino parking lot—it's noisy throughout the night and makes for an unpleasant stay. The overall upkeep of the room was subpar: the safe was broken, and the air conditioning didn’t work, even in the second room I was moved to. Service was consistently slow and disorganized. Despite requesting a steam iron, one was never available. On the second day, I waited over 20 minutes just for a basic iron, which made me late for an appointment. Shockingly, even coffee at breakfast comes at an extra charge, and the dining area itself was unclean and poorly maintained. I’m genuinely baffled by how this property holds a 5-star status—it simply doesn't live up to the rating in any meaningful way. A truly bizarre and frustrating experience.
