I really wanted to love this place. My boyfriend and I went here around 5pm on a Friday. According to the online menu, the food and drink selection looked promising. We were initially served waters by the female server and invited to look over the menu. However, once the female server's boyfriend or whoever he was sat down in the seat at the bar next to us, she completely forgot we existed and spent the next hour or more trying to flirt with him (he was on his phone not paying her much mind though so it was fairly awful to witness). At some point, we were able to order a glass of wine and a beer from her male colleague. We also ordered 3 menu items- 1) the fried cheese from the pizza place next door which was really good although it was only 4 tiny nuggets, 2) the Fruit and Cheese Board which promised "Wedges of Distinctive Cheeses and Clusters of Fresh Fruits served with seasoned Crostini". In reality, it was 3 small pieces of cheese, 3 small pieces of salami, 2 small pieces of crostini, and a few grapes, 3 blueberries, and 2 strawberries, and 3) we also ordered the Charcuterie Board which promised "Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus, Assorted Gourmet Salamis, Hams, Dried Meats and Jams and served with seasoned Crostini and homemade Olive Salad". In all actuality, all we received was the same boring 3 small pieces of cheese, NO prosciutto wrapped asparagus OR any jam, and 2 small crostinis. This means on their own, a board gives 2 people 1 small piece of bread each for their whole promised "spread".
We were never asked if we wanted another glass of wine or beer. We finally waved down our server and inquired about where the asparagus and jams were. He seemed irritated that we asked and told us they were out of the asparagus like we should've known that. We were offered no replacement. He asked if we still wanted the jams in a voice that sounded as though we hoped we would decline. Of course we said yes. Another 15 minutes went by while he continued to help everyone else in the place in front of us. I don't know how many times he stood directly in front of me and never made eye contact once. Another man in jeans and a shirt came behind the bar and was also serving drinks. At one point he asked how we were. We asked for the check. He said sure thing. He went on to do other things for 20 minutes and eventually disappeared into the pizza side. Never saw him again or the check we asked for. Our server was pouring a drink in front of me for the hundredth time and finally made eye contact with me. He said (in the rudest voice ever) "Do you need something?" I told him we never got the jams. He said he forgot and took off for another 15 minutes. I saw him in the back taking forever to scoop something. He came back with a tiny bowl and said they only had 1 jam. We asked for the check again. He finally asked if we wanted another drink. We said no. We were in there for probably 2 hours and had 1 drink each and 3 tiny food items in which we didn't get all items promised. The bill was almost $40. I have NEVER not tipped at an establishment but I have never been so unhappy and irritated at the poor quality of service at an establishment either. We could've left a long time ago after realizing it didn't meet our expectations. Being there for 2 hours because we couldn't get our bill while we sat right at the bar in front of 3 servers was beyond ridiculous. The subpar food and drinks were 1 thing. The bad attitude about not having the subpar food items promised on the menu combined with absolutely ignoring us and forcing us to wait to pay for the expensive subpar food and drinks is what took me over the edge and prompted me to write this review.
