Sea Hostel

Terrible experience, would not recommend. I stayed at Sea Hostel and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The room was dirty, the toilet was not clean, and the mattress was completely worn out — you could feel the springs through it. The air was damp and uncomfortable, and since the windows are left open all day, it was impossible to sleep because of the constant noise from the street. When I politely reached out to the manager to request a partial refund (and even offered to leave peacefully without asking for a full refund), I only received a generic response claiming that “cleanliness is strict” and offering me a free breakfast instead — which honestly felt insulting considering the situation. The photos speak for themselves: this place is not properly maintained and looks nothing like the pictures online. If you’re coming to Barcelona to actually rest and enjoy your stay, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are many better hostels nearby for the same price or less. I rarely write reviews, but I feel it’s important to warn other travelers. I wish someone had warned me.

at the beach, near busses and supermarkets. the room is spacious, the sanitary facilities are good. strong and warm water from the shower. there was a light in the shower that was broken, they fixed it within 2 days, (to be honest probably if I would've ask they would fix it sooner, because service is great) the location is great if you want to live the buzzing beach and bar life. for me it was a bit much but busses were very near so I could easily go wherever I want.

Amazing location right on the beach. Very very long check in however (an hour and a half over the time stated). Blasting AC all night to artic conditions but did turn it down when asked which was appreciated. Also a broken shower door but was fixed within the first day. Overall good.

Great location, BUT: bedbugs and the hostal manager ignored us. We didn't get another room. Great location, that's all. We didn't sleep at all!

Very nice hostel, but I saw a visitor violently beaten by several others to the point of unconsciousness directly outside, seemingly unprovoked. They continued beating him after he lost consciousness until he was bleeding profusely from his head. The cops were called. I found another hotel after that, despite being unable to get a refund for the night.

Probably the worst hostel I’ve stayed at. Sure, the location is great if going to the beach is all you’re planning to do; transport to and from the hostel is easy enough, but that’s where the positives end. Find another hostel.

Stopped for drinks and sweet treats. |Great service.|Affordable, especially for the area.|Great ice coffee.|Kids loved the churros.||Toilets are a little nasty, but I've seen worse.

A good and priceworthy hostel. And It’s really nice to have the sea just outside the door. Comfy beds, good comfort, and the friendly staf that I met made me feel welcome. So the next time I visit Barcelona you can find me at Sea Hostel Barcelona. Thanks guys!
