At The Mall of America we visited Sea Life. The $25.00 ticket is good all day. We went back for a second visit and saw animals that were not visible the first time. The staff are very knowledgeable and answer all questions. They go great work trying to save fish species and protecting the environment and give you a great understanding of how fragile life is for the various fish and animals they display

Google
First off, the first responder appreciation is an incredible idea and I thank you for that. I first interacted with a very pleasant lady who helped us get our tickets. She was delightful and pationate about Sea life, asking us to say "hi" to the sea horses for her, so we did 🤗. We had a very enjoyable venture through the aquarium and the kids had a blast. We got lots of pictures and have some great memories to look back on. Thank you all!

Google
Always enjoy coming here, the adventure boom you can pick up at the beginning for a free gift at the end is fun and a great way to engage kids even more. The souvenir guide is actually very informative even for adults. Can't recommend enough

Google
Went here because I THOUGHT they would allow you to touch a stingray (touched them & fed them at the Denver CO Aquarium). FYI nope, not here! Do NOT pay to do the “behind the scenes” NOT worth it! Cute yet boring. You can see the sea life in their tunnel just as good as behind the scenes. The best thing there was the VR, worth that price! Also the photo NOT worth the $! As they want another $35 or so for a PICTURE!

I absolutely love aquariums. Sea Life at Mall of America did not disappoint! Its not real big but thats ok. Its in a mall that has a billion other things to do so the size was just right. It was beautiful and well done. We were most fascinated by the tree frogs for some reason. The aquarium tunnel was so cool with sharks and other sea creatures swimming above you and around you. Another group of young adult visitors were ruining it for me because that part of the tour was peaceful and serene. That group was loud and intrusive. I wish the aquarium would have a no talking or low voices only in that section. Other aquariums do and they enforce it. Nevertheless, the overall experience was fantastic!!!

Google
We went there last weekend and it was pretty fun. The best part was walking through the tunnel and seeing all the water life above you around you. The kids loved it! I think the only downside was the ending where you could touch the things in the water.... all of the starfish were on one side so none of the kids could touch them. The worker gave everyone in option to touch a dried out starfish. Just not the same. So if it's ever possible can you add more things for the kids to touch? Otherwise it was fun 😀

Google
Amazing experience! It's really great value and honestly one of the cleanest aquariums i have ever visited. The water is pristine, and all of the aquatic life is clearly visible. Really enjoyed the experience and would most assuredly come back again if I'm ever in Minnesota in the future.

Google
Loved seeing all the different types of sea creatures. Its just simply done and done nicely. Theres a little hole for the kids to crawl into and i love the underwater walkways. The little stamp book was an awesome touch for our 6 year old and her cousin, was a cute little token they received for filling out the book. We've gone twice, the first time was 2 years after covid and this last time was about 2 years ago and they had people out and about with little creatures we got to see in person so that was pretty awesome. The touch pool is cool too. Yes you can get through it all in like 20-30 minutes but we just went back and forth between the different areas and spent a good hour there. I'd recommend it more for the younger crowd but I was entertained as well.

Yelp
Pro tip: Do NOT purchase tickets in person. Order online! There are also pamphlets (in the mall) and coupon books in the area (check in the mall and local hotels) each offering admission price discounts. If you can't do that, visit their website, I can all but guarantee there will be some discounted offer on their website. I paid $28.99 which included admission to the aquarium and a behind the scenes guided tour. The tour lasted right around an hour and was very educational. Pete was our guide and was super passionate and knowledgeable. It really elevated our experience. The aquarium itself is beautiful. Walking thru the underwater tunnels literally puts you face to face with the sea life. Sea Life is great for all ages! Highly recommend as part of a visit to the Mall of America.

Yelp
Nice little stop if you need a break from shopping. Avoid the hissing roaches (to the right) in the beginning if you need to. This was a small aquarium but they had a pretty tanks of jellyfish, variety of sharks, a tank of starfish and sea anemones that you can touch, and a tank of sting rays at the very end. The sting rays all still have their stingers so you can't touch them.

Yelp
Much better than the SeaLife by our house in Michigan! It was pretty crowded during our visit, so I recommend going right when they open...it's much more manageable then. We tried the stingray feeding, which was $5 for a tiny cup with maybe 1-1.5 shrimp (or $12 for 3 cups). Honestly, it wasn't worth it. You just drop the shrimp in the water, and that's it. Not very interactive. I'd skip it. A few negatives: It was a bit disorganized. We had wristbands and no one told us we needed to check in at Guest Services instead of the regular line. We waited for a few minutes in the wrong spot before someone finally said something. A simple sign would've saved time. A staff member with green hair wasn't very friendly when I first asked where to go with the wristbands...just kind of brushed me off. The gift shop had a ton of merch without any price tags, which was frustrating. Overall, we still enjoyed it, especially compared to our local SeaLife but there's definitely room for improvement on the logistics and customer service side.

Yelp
This is a cute little aquarium underneath the mall. A great way to break up the day and see some cool fish! If you use the MOA app for shopping, you can also earn free entries here :) Im glad we got to see it. It isnt big but cool to see. They seem to take care of the animals as well.

Yelp
I should have had lower expectations for an aquarium in the basement of the mall of America. Alas, I took my 5 month old baby here because she is very curious and observant. I was hoping for big walls of blue water and wild sea creatures for her to stare at in awe. Instead we shuffled slowly through one really really long line and saw a few terrariums and fish tanks along the way. It was a hot Saturday, so I'm sure a worse experience than a weekday, but I felt very claustrophobic. It was like a maze you had to get out of to even find a place to sit and feed her. I honestly think going to Petco would be more fun.

Yelp
We've been huge fans of Sea Life at MOA for years and just found out about the behind the scenes tour yesterday! Not only did we get to see all the amazing sea life on the main level, but we got to go upstairs and see everything from above. My kids even got to feed the turtles and fish while we learned all sorts of cool behind the scenes information from our awesome tour guide Pete! This was such a fun experience!

Yelp
I loved it here! My bf took me on a surprise date. I love fish and aquariums so there was a big variety to look at. The jellyfish section was very cool. We got some cool photos and the staff was very kind. We even got to touch starfish and other sea plants. The only issues we had was our ticket purchases did not fully print and it took some convincing to get inside. Even though we purchased them at the location. The water to pet the starfish was freezing but I'm certain that's for the starfish preference! Definitely go see some cool sea life :)!

Yelp
There is no going wrong with a trip to Sea Life! Take the extra time and become a sea ranger by getting all your stamps along with way. No matter what age, this place is magical and captivating. Highly recommend!

Yelp
What a fun little aquarium. Went on a weekday so it was pretty empty. We took our time and watched the fish swim around. It only took us about an hour and a half to- it's small but it is inside a mall so that is to be expected. We still had a nice time
google avatar

Yelp
My 7 month old daughter had a blast here and it was fun for us adults too! A little pricey but still a fun place!

Yelp
Sunday afternoon fun at MOA by visiting SeaLife. It's a little pricey but we decided to buy memberships which overall will save us money. I was able to use my teacher discount which was appreciated too. It's been a while since we've visited but all the sea, lake, and ocean wonder was still there. They decorated it in fun fall/halloween decor. It was pretty quiet when we went on a later Sunday afternoon before close but we didn't miss a thing! We enjoyed the rainforest, the underwater tunnel, jellyfish, coral cave interactive rock pool and lagoon - fun for kids and grownups - even the grumpy teen Since we have the membership we'll make it a point to go more often this year. Can't wait to see what's planned for the winter season!

Yelp
I took my son here for his first birthday, and surprisingly he loved every minute of it. It was so interesting to see the marine life and all the different types of animals. The staff were really kind and helpful. The experience allowed for a stroller, which made it convenient. I would recommend going on a weekday to avoid the crowd.

Yelp
This aquarium is in the bottom level of a mall! I thought ok it's gonna be a small version of an aquarium but nope it's a full size amazing aquarium. Loved the sea turtles, I could watch them all day. Also loved the seahorses.

Yelp
SEA LIFE at Mall of America was the first place I went in the Bloomington/Minneapolis/St. Paul area after getting off the plane and checking in at my hotel. My travel day had been hectic, so I thought that a visit to the aquarium might be a bit zen. Thankfully, it was a Wednesday night, so there weren't a ton of people at the MoA itself - and only 3 or 4 other visitors in the aquarium. The price is a bit steep for what the aquarium offers - something like $28/adult when you purchase your ticket on arrival - as it's an aquarium inside a mall (and it isn't necessarily large in size *or* number of exhibits). There's a "Brave the Rainforest!" exhibit with various tortoises, snakes, spiders, and frogs. The main exhibit of this place though is the walk-through tunnel aquarium that allows cichlids, rays, sturgeon and more to swim around you while you're sauntering through. Shark Cove is another piece of this exhibit, with sandbar sharks, sand tiger sharks, nurse sharks, whitetip reef sharks, and others such as green sawfish and guitarfish to swim around - and even over - you. After you exit the walk-through tunnel, there's some small exhibits with various fish - including a tank full of clownfish and friends (including plenty of blue tang fish - the same as Dory from "Finding Nemo"). There are also various tanks with seahorses of various types. And then you get to the Jellyfish exhibit - a dark room full of cylindrical tanks of varying jellyfish types. It doesn't take long to walk through the aquarium - I took my time, and I think it took my about 25-30 minutes. It was a nice way to spend the day after some crazy traveling. Honestly, it reminds me of some of the Ripley's Aquariums I've been to (Myrtle Beach, mainly... it's much smaller than the one in Toronto, though they both have things like walk-through shark exhibits, etc). TL;DR All-in-all, a nice way to end the day. Cost seems a bit high for what they offer, as there isn't a lot of diversity and the design of some of the exhibits make it difficult to see what is supposed to be exhibited inside them. Still, it was nice to check out this place once.

Elie L.

Yelp
Noah was a great guide for the manta rays! Very thorough in knowledge and kind in gesture and manner. His excitement for the aquarium gave us excitement in learninLooking forward to coming back again soon and hope to see him again!

Yelp
What a cool place! Great for kids but as an adult, loved it!!!!! So much sea life and the employees genuinely seemed to love working there. Thank you for a great time!

Yelp
I have been coming to Sea Life since I was a kid and now I take my kids! This is a great stop whether you are visiting the mall or just need a cold weather activity. They have added a virtual reality area for $7 a person (I didn't try this, so I'm not sure if it's good) there is a "behind the scenes" option and I do recommend that. I didn't do that this round but have done it before and it's very interesting! There are so many things to see while you are here and kids as well as adults will stay entertained. There is a gift shop and bathrooms throughout the experience. It typically takes about 45-60 minutes to get through everything. It is self guided and at your own pace. You purchase tickets online, so best to do it before you get there and pick your time to enter. The staff here was very nice and I would recommend coming and checking this place out!

Yelp
Since I visited this place after ignoring it after all these years, I can officially say I have finally visited everything at Mall of America. Prices here are steep! They try to gouge you on every little dime for the miniscule of experiences. Sure, it was great that we saw some great fish and aquatic wild life but this place seems easy to sneak in since the staff didn't seem too focus on paying attention to the guests. The tour guide we encountered was very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, subpar experience but it deserves 3 stars for all the rare inhabitants featured.
google avatar

Steven T.

Yelp
This was an aquatic in the lower level of the mall so I wanted to check it out. At over $30 to get a ticket which is all day but once you have seen it one pass through is enough for me. I expected at the price point that it would bigger with more variety. It was an easy walk through because is kinda small and slowing my pace to look at everything it was over so fast I thought. Yah it's an experience but it is pricey for what it is.

K A.

Yelp
A business whose target customers are children ... and you can't find a bathroom? Somewhere in the middle of the exhibit our 5-year-old needed a bathroom. Problem was, we had NO idea where it was. There's no signage, no employees, and no info on the online map. We didn't know if we should go forward or backward. The reason for our visit was the advertised Mermaid exhibit. The only evidence we found of this was a "draw your own mermaid" poster by a table. Disappointing. Much of the gift shop merchandise did not have prices, so this caused more inconvenience. Based on the number of people there on a weekday, I have to imagine that Sea Life is taking in enough money to improve their operations.
google avatar

Kate K.

Yelp
Great little aquarium that my kids have enjoyed at ages 1-10. Doesn't take more than 1 to 1.5hrs to go through, but there are a lot of fun features. The glass arch with the fish, sharks and turtles swimming all around you is really cool. They also enjoy petting the sea anemone at the end. I think feeding the song rays is a little lack lustre, so we skip paying extra for that one. They seem well fed ha. My only negative and the reason I have it 4 instead of 5 stars is the price. Unless you redeem MOA points on their app for a free entry, it's pretty spendy for a family.

Yelp
3.5 stars rounded up, for what it is. Sea Life Aquarium at the Mall of America is the largest aquarium in Minnesota, and the only underwater ocean tunnel in the state, with the only sawfish in MN as well! Recommended by a coworker who had been before, I got one daily adult admission ticket for the 6:15PM entrance timeslot for $26.99. I noticed later walking around the mall that there were physical coupons that had discounted prices, QR codes to scan, to purchase at a kiosk/tablet mounted on the wall, or online. On top of general admission, you could upgrade/add more things such as a guided 45-minute Behind the Scenes Tour, Virtual Reality Experience, and/or Digital Downloads. Exhibits include Brave the Rainforest, Sturgeon Lake, Wild Amazon, Shark Cove, Rainbow Reef, Coral Caves, Seahorse Kingdom, Jellyfish Discovery, Beluga Bay, Rockpool, Ray Lagoon, and an area for souvenir photos, and a gift shop. Behind the Scenes and Virtual Reality areas are restricted to those who purchased those experiences. I admit that it is probably geared toward kids/youth/teens more, and I did not spend as much time reading every info card/fun fact at each exhibit area. There were definitely families with kids in strollers, toddlers, and bigger kids for me to navigate around. I was mainly there for the sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, and moon jellies. Angelfish, seahorses, clownfish (Nemo), blue tang (Dory), lionfish, anemones, corals, starfish, and urchins were fun to see. Respect for the other exotic critters represented like the caiman (crocodile), piranhas, cockroaches, tarantula, etc. My favorite parts were the Underwater Tunnel and the color-changing Jellyfish Mirror Maze. I'm no stranger to such tunnels (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Audobon Aquarium in New Orleans, Steinhart Aquarium at California Academy of Sciences, Oregon Coast Aquarium) but considering this Sea Life location is inside a mall (kind of like SeaQuest) this was pretty impressive! Props to you, Minnesota...but if you're reading this and get a chance to come out to California, Monterey Bay Aquarium is a must-see once in your life. All in all, I spent less than 30 minutes total going through the attractions (blame my walking speed or attention span). The greenscreen souvenir photos turned out cute, and they also had a traditional photobooth near the exit as well which gave you 3 photo paper strips for 4 poses and your choice of frame (plain white background). At the gift shop, I did purchase a ceramic boho black octopus art-design mug (Karma) too, though I don't recall seeing an actual octopus IRL.
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
Small sea life inside the mall. There's a pool on the lower level to watch the sting rays and rays. Sting Rays are quite cool and look so majestic and so smooth as they glide by so effortlessly.
google avatar

Nita W.

Yelp
Went solo while exploring the largest mall in the States. It really is incredible how they incorporated an aquarium in a mall. Growing up by the ocean, I was not able to skip checking this place out. It also gave me a break from all the retail shopping. Basic ticket was about $30 after taxes. I didn't need any of the behind the scenes encounters. I remember bringing my kids when they were little and we would spend hours looking at the sea life. Being solo I finished in about an hour's time. Tons of sharks and the underwater tunnel was my favorite. I think it's great for kids and anyone that enjoys the oceans.
google avatar

Allie A.

Yelp
Definitely a tourist trap. But honestly, it's unique in the fact that it's a literal awuarium tunnel. You can walk all over and see the fish and sharks swimming at every single angle. Although it is relatively small, you need to really take it all in and appreciate the beauty of the ocean. Pricepoint is high but that would naturally come with the tourist trap. I do think it's worth the price, if you're willing to fully encapsulate yourself in the experience.
google avatar

Charlie P.

Yelp
The area itself was great! Excellent activity for our toddler in the winter. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was extremely busy. Definitely recommend getting tickets ahead online, you save money and it's one less step. You do not get to go in until your exact ticket time, no earlier. The line took quite a long time, about an extra half hour. That being said, the experience itself was really fun! Lots of sea life and easy for everyone to see. It is stroller friendly as well.
google avatar

Ronnie B.

Yelp
If you have the chance, be sure to take in Sea Life located in the Mall of America in Minnesota. Wonderful interactive experiences abound here and I was totally entertained and in awe of the assortment of exhibits. The 360 degree ocean tunnel aquarium offers a look at four amazing underwater exhibits featuring Sand Tiger Sharks ( Shark Cove), sea turtles and hundreds of tropical fish ( Rainbow Reef), fresh water species including the largest in the world Alligator Gar ( Sturgeon Lake), and fresh water Amazon River creatures (Wild Amazon). There is a Pacific Northwest touch pool where you can get a real feel of ocean life with sea stars, sea anemones and more! The personnel is welcoming and takes the time to explain and patiently answer questions.
google avatar

Yelp
Rhino the scenes tour was SO cool!! The tour guide was amazing! Well worth the money!
google avatar

Mariam R.

Yelp
I've been to Sea Life MOA a handful of times now and I've had great experiences every time. It's not the largest aquarium, but it's the perfect size for a 30-45 min+ stroll and a great winter activity to keep the toddler entertained. It is geared towards school age kids but I think adults can appreciate the large underwater tunnel and animals inside as well. We went in the morning during the week and it wasn't very busy at all. They have various exhibits of different underwater animals including stingrays, fish, sharks, turtles as well as frogs and spiders, among others. The animals were pretty active when we went in the morning. It is on the pricier side but if you buy tickets online in advance, it is slightly cheaper. The photos that they take of you at the beginning are pricey too but the backdrops they have for the photos are really cool. It's stroller friendly and wheelchair accessible. There's an elevator that you use to get in as well as an escalator. Definitely worth visiting at least once especially if you're from out of town, but if you're mainly here to see the mall and don't have time, it's not a big deal since I know there are other aquariums in other states that have similar exhibits.
google avatar

Daniel K.

Yelp
Not a bad medium sized aquarium. Animals seemed well cared for. Tanks were well built. Staff was friendly. Can get through place in an hour or so. Prices were quite high for extent of experience. Not a destination but a decent stop if in the mall.
google avatar

Justin B.

Yelp
I have been here years ago when it was Underwater World but I didn't realize I'd never been since they changed it. There used to be an electric walkway to keep the traffic flow moving but they have since removed that which is nice. The staff here were very helpful to pick out some of the well....Sea Life in the aquarium! They even helped tell us the names of some of the saw fish in there. Once we finished walking through from under the aquarium, we were greeted by one of the workers and asked if my kid would want to feed the fish. It was such an amazing experience for him as we got to go above everyone and feed some of the turtles and the fish up there as she told us more about the fish and we could see the sharks from above as well. Such a great aquarium at the mall and worth a season pass if you live nearby to go more than once!
google avatar

Sydney B.

Yelp
My friend told me that the aquarium was one of the things I had to do while visiting mall of America but I left a little disappointed. We paid general admission $28 which is pretty expensive. They do have a pod variety of marine life but the aquarium is small. You can finish the whole thing in 20 minutes. It's something to do if you want to visit Mall of America but if you had to pick between this or another attraction then I suggest doing something else
google avatar

Eileen B.

Yelp
I love aquariums they make me feel like a kid again and Sea Life made that happen. Their is so many beautiful sea life. I loved the sea turtles and the colorful fish. I found Nemo by the way. There is alot to do for the kids. They have a activity room and so many opportunities to get up close to the fish. You can feed the stingrays and touch some sea life. Overall a great day being a kid again

Garyn K.

Yelp
This was a cool experience but it was a fairly quick walkthrough. Small children may find this scary, but it was fun! You can NOT touch the stingrays (I learned after touching) but there is a touch pool that is pretty interactive.
google avatar

Rilianne L.

Yelp
Fun attraction at the Mall of America! Sea Life is not a big aquarium no, but considering that Minnesota has very few (salt-water) aquariums, this one's not bad. They had other animals too other than marine life (when we went there). Great place for kids.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
It was a weird line full of people that we had to follow through the entire aquarium. We did not get to see much because we were in a large crowd the entire time. It was expensive too.

Rebecca R.

Yelp
Very dusty. All public areas grey with dust. All aquarium areas brown with algae. Sad. Would discourage visitors
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
Omg!!! My daughter wanted to see the Mall of America on our vacation this year. We gave her a choice of the rides or Sea life she picked the best one. At first I scoffed at the price but it was well worth it. My wife said it was something checked off her bucket list when it wasn't even on there in the first place. It was a little disconcerting seeing a toothy shark coming right at you. If we are ever there again that will be one of the things we would do again.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
This aquarium was ok but not worth the price tag. I do like the jelly exhibit and the tunnel. I also like that you can buy the whole digital album of pictures. It is wasteful that they print the pictures before you even know if you want them though and you have to do it online. There are people standing right there but they cannot even help you to make a purchase. People do have tech issues or may not even be able to use their phones for these things.
google avatar

Lennea B.

Yelp
I thought it could be much bigger. Overall the small exhibit was very interesting. I loved the overhead water tanks it felt amazing having the sharks all around... lol they even offer a night stay Under the tanks called sleeping with the sharks or something like that. I do recommend this as a must see feature if you visit mall of America .... they have a gift shop and play area in the middle of the exhibit I kinda think they should save the gift shop to the end.... It ended way too soon.

Yelp
I'm from Miami, FL and visit the Sea Life when I'm in MN. It's a cool and nice aquarium. It's a bit pricey but if you do it online then you get a huge discount especially if you are from MN plus they offer military discounts too. BTW kids 2 and under are free. It does get quite busy on the weekends so plan accordingly. You can see the whole thing between 30 to 45 minutes. The aquarium tunnels are cool. You see tons of aquatic life. The 1st half is a tropical rainforest so you see some exotic fishes n reptiles and what not. Since I live in FL, I have seen many of fishes and animals in FL. So it's nice to see some exotic creatures here in MN.

Yelp
This aquarium is located inside The Mall of America just one of several attractions besides the stores in the mall. My wife brought her brother & wanted to bring him to see something besides a mall so we took him to the aquarium. Sea Life Aquarium is a nice aquarium, but somewhat limited in size & content (It's part of a mall so what do you expect). They have an exhibit that has a walkway that you can walk through where the fish swim alongside you in both sides overhead (a tunnel). There was a small flat enclosure where you can buy brine shrimp & feed the sting rays as they swim around their enclosure (wooooo). There was also an enclosure that simulated a tidal pool w/anemones that were being fed small fish. This was kind of cool to see the anemone being fed as they sting & paralyze the fish then eat them. There was also a small exhibit w/jellyfish floating around in tanks. In one they had clear plastic bags & talked about how turtles love jellyfish, but unfortunately they can't differentiate the difference between jellyfish & plastic bags so almost all the turtles end up eating plastic. It's so sad what we are doing to our planet. Video showing the difference between plastic bags & jellyfish. http://youtu.be/ieMXDlMP0b8
google avatar

Jessica I.

Yelp
They book fast & are extremely unhelpful if you try to book online. I truly thought they had more/were bigger so I'm not sure if it was truly worth the money spent. The workers weren't much around & when they were, they were very to themselves, not smiling. Not happy to be there at all.

Yelp
For an aquarium under a mall, this is a pretty decent experience; better than I was expecting anyhow. Obviously can't beat the Monterey Bay Aquarium in the Bay Area where I grew up right on the Pacific ocean, LOL. I recommend wandering the Mall of America to find a kiosk advertising Sea Life, as you will find a QR code coupon on the info pamphlet that gets you $3 off the regular priced admission. So I got a ticket for $22 instead of $25, and the online ticketing service was easy to use. You will select a "tour time" (self-guided) for your arrival, and they allow you to enter 15 minutes ahead of your selected time if you wish. I went for the earliest slot at 11AM to get ahead of any potential crowds. You'll head down the escalators and then get your ticket scanned at the entry point. Be sure to grab a "treasure map" (available regardless of your age) at the beginning so you can stamp/emboss it at key locations throughout the aquarium to receive a prize at the end in the gift shop (a fun necklace medallion). The gift shop is a decent size and has many plush and other trinkets to chose from, like mugs and magnets, keychains, etc. There are restrooms available close to the end of the exhibit down with the stingrays and touchable anemones. You'll be asked to wash your hands if you wish to touch them. You can also purchase shrimp to feed to the stingrays for $3-5 (though it wasn't staffed at the time I was there). My favorite part was definitely the walkthrough tube where sharks of all varieties (plus sea turtles and other large fish) could swim overhead and all around you. It's probably the best part of the entire exhibit, so don't rush through it. Take your time, soak it in, snap photos (don't use flash, the glass will reflect), and enjoy. There's no time limit once you're inside. The employees are all reasonably friendly. One fished a penny out of his pocket to give to me when I found I didn't have one for the penny squishing machine, which was kind of him. =)

Yelp
When I sea life, I imitate it. Art may imitate life but so do I. Located as part of the enormous Mall of America complex that is mind-blowingly massive. We definitely like it here and we'll definitely be back here again. It's just a little on the expensive side but a lot of aquariums are these days. I came here because my friend with the kids was bringing her kids here at the same time that I was visiting her. We haven't been in the last year or so, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it has changed and updated next time I end up in here, which hopefully happens someday.

Yelp
My son and wife visited the Mall of America location a few weeks ago and had a blast! My son got a little stuffed animal turtle that he was obsessed with until he lost it recently when traveling to North Dakota. He was very upset about losing it so I said I'd call to see what we could do to get another one to Iowa. I spoke with Shaniqua, the Sales Manager, over the phone and she was absolutely AMAZING! She took care of my request, showed empathy and compassion, and represented Sea Life exceptionally well! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
This is a very nice aquarium in the mall of America, when I first came to this mall, I couldn't believe that they actually had an aquarium inside the mall! That's very cool! Positives were tons of animals to look at, an interactive exhibit where you can touch starfish, and a merch shop at the end with a lot of variety, workers were all very friendly. Only negatives were it is a bit overpriced for what you get (I guess I'm spoiled from Chicago since we have the Shedd Aquarium which is just massive), and social distancing (this was written during COVID-19 times) in the actual aquarium is not really enforced (no employees to be found inside the actual exhibit). Overall a nice experience and I would recommend doing it at least once!

Yelp
The aquarium was a decent size for a mall, def a tourist attraction, I enjoyed their walk through through the fish tank and the jellyfish room the best

Yelp
Located in the Mall of America on the East side level 1, Sea Life was overall just okay but definitely kid friendly and I know my partner really enjoyed it. Make sure to buy your tickets online or through Groupon to save some money- I do think it's a bit expensive for a 45 min walk through, however I like to think that the cost helps with feeding and taking care of the animals. Overall the staff were all really friendly! Like many of the other reviews the rainbow tunnel (especially Amelio the giant 350 pound turtle) and jellyfish were my favorites. There is also a chance to feed the sting rays for a couple more dollars and a chance to touch some live salt water invertebrates.
