The service was great! All the wait staff were very informative and friendly. The fish was very fresh and you can pick out your fish! The food was delicious and well cooked. Overall it was one of my favorite meals in Lisbon and I would love to come back again someday. Our waiters spoke English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Sea Me is my go-to restaurant in Lisbon. Whether I’m alone, with friends or family, it never disappoints. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and every visit is a celebration of quality, flavor and consistency. Just look at the photos — they speak for themselves. Fresh seafood, great atmosphere and a place that truly feels like a classic.

Great Portuguese/Japanese fusion with a few caveats. We went on a Saturday night and had no problem getting seated without a reservation. It was packed but the restaurant is huge. They have a great selection of fresh seafood. Our favorite dishes were the oysters (tried one of each of the three they had) and bread. There were some excellent cuts in the sashimi selection (specifically the salmon and scallops) but also some meh ones. We also ordered the tempura bass with rice which was delicious but the sadly the rice was just slightly undercooked. It also took an hour to come out but our waitress did comp the dish. Overall I’d come back - was a good experience with a few flaws.

I wanted to hate this place. My family wanted to come but I thought it was going to be overpriced and mid. I actually care for my money and want to go to places that are worth it. However… I was pleasantly surprised. Here is my full review: The service starts off up-scale, smiles, jokes, friendly and very attentive. Their main “menu item” is the catch of the day, so they will show you the options and they each have a price per kilo. Then you can select a side dish. They also have other options off the menu. We had one of the grilled fishes and the bacalao. The fish was actually just very, very well cooked. Tender, perfectly seasoned, delicate yet charred from the grill… it was truly one of the best cooked fishes I have ever had. The tomato rice was also perfectly cooked and very flavorful. My family had the bacalao, I am not a fan in general but still think it was very well done. The vegetables side was good, although not outstanding. The dessert… wow. I got the lemon curd and would recommend the same. It’s the perfect ending for a fish meal. We did not have appetizers and truthfully didn’t need them, the portions were pretty big and we were all really full with the sides and mains. Bottom line… I am giving them 4 starts because I truly enjoyed the meal and I do believe is priced in pair for the experience. The only thing I would say was unnecessary was the couvert of bread, homemade butter and olive oil for €4.50 per PERSON. That was €18 euros right away for a party of 4. You pretty much can’t say no to that so you are obliged to get it. I would just make that included and only if the table wants it. For the prices of everything else, I am sure they can afford it. Just be ready to pay +€50 per person, but you will surely have a great meal.

Great Restaurant, And this seafood dish is excellent—so fresh and perfectly cooked! The flavors are amazing, especially with the touch of garlic, chili, and lemon. Highly recommended for anyone who loves seafood ❤️❤️

Google
Fantastic food and great atmosphere. The initial fish soup was fantastic and light. The octopus soft and tasty. The dessert simply unforgettable. Not cheap for Lisbon but worth all my money.

Google
Had clams, large snails, scallops, Mozambique shrimp and squid. Everything tasted super fresh except for the scallops. I may have chipped a tooth while eating the clams as there were pebbles or shell parts that got mixed in with the clam meat. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere was modern and inviting.

Google
Loved it, very delicious. We had a bootle of wine which was very good, started with oysters 🦪 and then choose a fish for the main dish. Had the meringue lemon and raspberry desert. Yes it’s a 100% worth the price food is delicious, staff is lovely very attentive! Recommend a reservation!

Yelp
Today, I spent an incredible day in Lisboa with friends, exploring the city and taking in its rich history and stunning monuments. One of the highlights of the day was having lunch at Sea Me Restaurant, and I cannot recommend it enough! Established in 2010, this gem seamlessly combines the charm of a traditional Portuguese seafood market with the elegance of a Japanese sushi bar. The owner, Pedro Cardoso, clearly has a deep passion for delivering the freshest and finest seafood, and it shows in every dish. From the moment I walked in, the warm, vibrant atmosphere made me feel right at home. We were greeted by a friendly, smiling host, and despite the restaurant being quite full, we were seated promptly. Our waiter, David, was amazing, he took the time to walk us through the menu, explaining the restaurant's specialties with care and enthusiasm. He even took us to the seafood market at the back of the restaurant, where we could handpick the exact fish we wanted for our meal, ensuring absolute freshness. The staff was not only friendly but impressively knowledgeable and attentive throughout the entire experience. I started with a hearty fish soup that was rich and flavorful, the perfect introduction to the rest of the meal. For my main course, I chose a stunning el dorado/sea bream, which was expertly filleted and cooked to perfection. The fish was tender and flaky, accompanied by perfectly cooked potatoes and fresh vegetables. Every bite was a true delight. Whether you're a sushi lover or prefer classic Portuguese seafood, Sea Me has something to satisfy every palate. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you're ever in Lisbon, Sea Me is an absolute must-visit! It's not just a meal here, it's an unforgettable dining experience. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
So good I had to do it twice. Time out market has a variety of options which also provide more for tourists taste. This is one of the very few places you can get fried fish. It's tender, lightly battered and flavorful. Eat the ginger and squeeze lemon the fish for an added boost. Half of the fish is pre cut into cubes for easy eating. The other half is left as a filet. There's plenty of meat in the head as well.. The greens are good as well.

Yelp
Claudia was the BEST bar tender and seafood aficionado. I was waiting and met 2 new beautiful friends from Norway and Sweden and Claudia sent over the BEST oysters from southern Portugal for us to enjoy as we waited to sit together at the bar. Literally divine. It's the last week of great southern Portuguese oysters and I can honestly say every single morsel was a haven for my taste buds. Claudia recommended the gorgeous giant prawns in garlic butter. Total food orgasm and the friends I made in Frida and Preben were just a magical addition to the most perfect night. We stayed and ate and drank for 3 hours. PERFECT! I'll be back again tonight my friends SIT AT THE BAR AND ASK FOR CLAUDIA!!! Gorgeous!

Yelp
Fabulous spot with incredible seafood. There's great seafood all over Lisbon, but this is the spot you go to for something more elevated for a premium price. Service and ambiance were outstanding. Some of the nicest table service we received while there. We tried the scarlet prawn (must get), clams, sardine toast, and tomato bread. All were fantastic with the clams being the most passable - wish we opted for the fish stew which looked incredible. Only note is the staff will offer you the tomato bread and a port wine to finish the meal. These are not complimentary and will be added to your tab. We didn't mind because they were both swell!

Yelp
All things seafood can be found at Sea Me. Well prepared and extremely fresh. The service is great and very informative. Casual, but still clean and modern.

Yelp
We went to Sea Me on our last night in Lisbon. They have three locations, the fish market and main restaurant right next door and then a smaller restaurant in Timeout market. We went to their main restaurant at 21h (9pm) for a light dinner. We didn't have reservations but they had plenty of seating available. We ordered the thinly sliced smoked tuna which tasted like a nice pastrami. We also got the tuna sliders and scallops to start. The scallops were a bit overcooked so not as tender as I would have liked. The tuna sliders were great and I believe the buns were made in house with squid ink. Very flavorful. We ordered one of the tiger shrimp which our server said would be enough based on the other three dishes ordered. I definitely could have eaten another one but the gambas were flavorful and delicious. You had the option for the shrimp and scallops to grill or have a sauce with them. They also recommend about 3-4 dishes for two people. For our dessert we went with a savory dish, the tuna tartar with fennel ice cream. It was delicious and a nice puzzle for the taste buds. With wine and the port for a digestif our bill was around €140. Certainly an expensive evening but we also wanted a fancy night out. If you're a lover of seafood I highly recommend going here.

Yelp
Sea Me in Portugal has another location and it is a stand in Time Out Market. I relished the food, and the staff exhibited professionalism and efficiency. The presence of actual fish was a nice touch. The fish soup and Sashimi, offering both grilled and raw fish options, were delightful. The ambiance maintained a standard noise level, complemented by the sea-themed decor and a clever restaurant name. While on the pricier side, the dinner for two totaled 110 euros. Additional items ordered included garlic shrimp, a piece of Cod, a selection of Niguiris, cabbage salad, tomato rice, and tea. It's worth noting that the seemingly complimentary bread and dips incurred a 9 euro charge labeled as "2 couvert" or a cover charge on the bill. do not expect it like New York City as it is the norm in Portugal. Personally, I didn't enjoy the dip, and you have the option to decline if you're not hungry yet and don't need the bread to curb your appetite. Overall, I had a positive experience and I would consider returning in the future.

Yelp
I was on my way to the sea food restaurant beside sea me but their was a line snd ended up here ! i did not realize its a specialty gastronomic seafood bar and restaurant . it could have been a perfect 5, but the staff that attended me seems needs more training . First , the wine pairing i ordered were not available, so instead of telling what is available she asked me again . then i chose the white one on the list , which was not available . then i have to tell her to tell me what ate available not to waste each other time . then poured me a wine from a half bottle which tasted nasty ild ! I love wine , and know when wine is stale ! so i have to tell her it tasted very old .. it is only suitable for cooking .. the new bottle tasted refreshing and crisp !! i ordered oysters !! Halfway to the six , she collected the tray with oyster without even asking if I am finished !I was in shocked but turned funny when she realized that I am half way of the six ! Some conversation perhaps , like asking if Im done, or also asking feedback about the food !! just a suggestion ! Peace !

Yelp
The service was impeccable and Sea Me. From the moment we sat down, we never had an empty glass. Our waiter explained all of the fresh catches of the day, his preferred preparation for each dish, and did not steer as wrong. We started with razor clams steamed in wine and butter, then moved onto whole grilled fish, and ceviche. Absolute perfection.

Yelp
We were able to secure a last minute reservation at this restaurant and it was amazing! There's a great long, communal table in the middle that we sat on and the overall atmosphere is modern. There's a great display of all the fresh catch that you can choose your meal from too. The food was great, simply put... we started with an order of the Cockles and Razor Clams; I think Razor Clams are my all-time favorite things! I also ordered the Prego, which I found to be one of the best I've had so far in Lisbon. We finished off with the Dorado, grilled and seasoned to perfection! The food here was just really, really good! Service wise, all the servers were very friendly and were great to the kids (we had the youngest kids there). I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
I visited the sister restaurant called Sea Me Next Door, which is a few doors down from the original Sea Me restaurant. Aesthetically pleasing with the cutest decor. Food was a bit pricey and tasted just okay. Ordered artisan bread with Catalina tomato, salted clams in garlic and prawns in garlic. Portion size was very small so definitely order more than what I did. Food and everything was good, but not a place I would necessarily return to. Maybe the original restaurant but not the sister restaurant.

Yelp
If you're a seafood lover, do yourself a favor and head over to Sea Me Peixeria Moderna in Lisbon. This restaurant has truly elevated the seafood cuisine game with their exceptional dishes that are both delicious and visually stunning. From the fresh shellfish to the perfectly cooked fish and everything was simply perfect. Yelp
Today, my wife and I find ourselves in the beautiful and picturesque city of Lisbon, Portugal. This seaside town is bustling, even in (what most of Europe calls) the off-season. By leaving Chicago yesterday when it was 18° and landing in Lisbon, where it was 70° we said goodbye to our parkas, gloves, mufflers, and fleece lined beanies for a while. But the real purpose for this trip was leaving behind our red meat, beef centric Chicago, and immersing ourselves in Seafood! We kicked off this gala "Diet" at Sea Me in the Chiafo district of Lisbon; and what a kick-off it was! Sure, they have a menu, and quite a nice menu at that! But, when our waiter ushered us to the back of the house, just in front of their exposed kitchen, there was thirty different kinds of ocean living creatures, laid out on ice, all caught that day by local fisherman. This display was jaw-dropping. My wife chose Razor Clams in a garlic butter sauce, and this local crustacean called Red Shrimp. I opted for Tiger Shrimp in butter sauce and some scallops (the size of my fist) cooked perfectly and coming with its own sauce. I got a terrific salad, and my wife got sauteed vegetables. This was a dinner you could possibly duplicate back in the States, but at 3X the cost. We added two fantastic white wines that completely elevated our dinner. The crew working here were these "All In" young folks doing everything in their power to make your meal memorable. A giant shout out to Sea Me bread basket. It came with three condiments: Butter with squid ink A crab dip that I could have eaten, gone home, and have called it a night And a very high-grade olive oil, made for dipping. This was opening night for us in Lisbon. Our list of restaurants to go to on our Portuguese swing this vacation has some pretty "Heady" restaurants to try. But, no matter what, Sea Me will always be near and dear to me.

Yelp
Excellent choice of sea food and a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. A bit expensive but well worth a visit.

Yelp
Dinner was so amazing at @seame.peixariamoderna that we came back for lunch two days after! Fresh seafood you can pick and the staff helps with cooking recommendations. Tried a whole range of delicacies. The squid ink tempura wrapped cuttlefish were one of my favorites. Great crunchy flavorful wrap and the texture of the cuttlefish on the inside was so good. The smoked sashimi was straight up Japan. Such flavor and so fresh. Loved trying the different prawns. Some of the larger ones were so good and don't shy away from the head. Lots of great flavors from the sea there! This is a must stop but make sure you make a reservation or hit it up for lunch. Great experience, great seafood you will "see me" here if I visit Lisbon again!

Yelp
This place is a must. The food and array of options was amazing. We ordered a whole amberjack; picked out the fish we wanted; than half was made into sushi, sashimi, and ceviche. The other half grilled. One of the best meals we've ever enjoyed!

Lisa L.

Yelp
So we were in Lisbon for three nights, we ate here twice, it's that good! A friend told us about it and it delivered in spades! Probably some of the best prepared seafood on the planet. Thank You!

Suzanne C.

Yelp
Food, service was top notch, a varied staff took care of our every whim! On our second visit we brought three more guests, all impressed, 'how could they not?' TIP: Do make reservations!!! Absolute freshness from the sea and beautifully presented. Great wine selection too! I have too many pictures to post! Oysters, etc; PERFECTION! We will be back!

E R.

Yelp
It's expensive for nothing. The 85 euro white fish (Goraz) we ordered was raw in the middle. There was already bread on the table when we arrived so we figured it's part of the service until we got the bill and there was a 9 euro charge for the bread. The service was awful. For the money that we were charged, I don't recommend this place.

Gwen S.

Yelp
This restaurant is expensive but the food is superb. The seafood is displayed on ice, and you select the seafood you would like to eat. In our case the waitress recommended the best cooking method for our fish choice (Imperial fish grilled) and it was delicious. We also ordered side dishes and a shrimp starter and all were expertly cooked. Probably the best seafood restaurant in Lisbon .
google avatar

Julia T.

Yelp
Busy seafood restaurant with long wooden tables where you sit alongside other diners, kind of like le pan quotidian. Which was fine, it was nice to mingle. The fish was super fresh and expertly prepared. The service is efficient, not warm and fuzzy (also fine.) It was our most expensive meal in Portugal, however, and def not the fanciest restaurant we ate in. At least double the cost of every other top rated restaurant. We enjoyed ourselves, but I'm not sure the balance of cost/ambiance/service is as great as the many many other amazing restaurants in Lisbon.

Yelp
The Good, the Bad and The Ugly- The Good- : fresh expertly prepared seafood, incredible selection, we had the tiger prawns and they were incredible as well as assorted sushi and oysters, all excellent. Room has a fun nice vibe and it's lively. Wine list and prices were as expected. The Bad- service was very slow after we were seated, took a long time to get menus, wine and water and order. The Ugly - Prices, very expensive comparatively ie lobster 177 € per kilo. Bread butter and dips were on the table when you sit down but .... AFTER the fact They charge 4.5€ PER PERSON for bread and butter/olive oil and then brought a bowl of steamed vegetables accompanying main course and didn't tell us they were adding another 13 or so € to the bill. Nobody ate them and they didn't look very appetizing nor were we offered a choice to decline these. Total hidden costs in € were about 21€ per couple that we weren't given the option to decline. Conclusion- probably would try alternatives in Lisbon as there are numerous choices.
google avatar

Zaneta S.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The place was quite busy but our order came out fast enough. The octopus cakes are The Bomb! They are/taste way lighter than the description would imply.

Yelp
Solid seafood spot in the Bairro Alto neighborhood off the Plaza de Camões. A glass of Laurent Perrier to start? Sure! Delicious two piece nigiri of roasted sardine sushi and bass with small clams Gunkan. Chased it with a glass of vinho verde and fried cuttlefish with shiso in black tempura. Ended with clams in broth. All very good. The nigiri was the piece de resistance.
google avatar

Matthew B.

Yelp
constant upselling mediocre food. sauces good; fish mediocre. gambas tough and gamy. cheapest wine is 8.50 a glass, but waiter "doesn't recommend it." invited to tip afterward. lisbon, please don't become the usa. and if you are going to charge these prices, do better. directly across the street is amazing authentic portuguese food that blows sea me away. by a lot. food and wine. and service. and for that matter, the entire neighborhood delivers much better food at a better price, and a much better atmosphere. edit: i understand an upscale restaurant. i live in new york city. if you want to be upscale, learn how to do it; not just by charging more money for mediocrity.
google avatar

Debbie L.

Yelp
Friendly and helpful service and good seafood. I had the roasted sardine nigiri and it was amazing. Also had razor clams which were good. Be warned the bread and dips cost money! They should really state that up front if it's already set at every table as soon as you sit down and offering it to you. It's a bit sneaky. Fortunately I saw another review that had warned about that. Also, this review is for the restaurant, not the Time Out Market location. I went to that one too and it was terrible. The fish was NOT fresh. I stopped eating it because I was worried about getting sick. So skip that location and go to the restaurant instead!

Yelp
(My dearest follower told me at Yelpies that he misses my Portugal reviews... so here you go Sean!!) A Japanese friend, whom I recommended this place to, told me that it has some of the best sushi she's ever tried. That's how good this place is. My fave - sardine and cod sushi. I've had a hard time finding them again elsewhere, and never with flavor to match. If you are imaging opening a can of sardine and laying one of the oily fish on top of a ball of rice... you get it all wrong. This is fresh and tender, like very good mackerel but better as it's a smaller fish. Certainly not cheap but if you are a sushi connoisseur, it's a must! Towards the back of the restaurant they have a counter showcasing their fresh catches. I usually save the crustaceans for Ramiro - that's all they do, and order the fishes here. You can discuss the flavor, texture and preparation of different fishes with the staff and find one you like, if you are not familiar with the catches. This popular place can get busy, you can try coming in for lunch instead. And warning: while all Portuguese restaurants may charge you for the appetizers they leave on your table, here the charges are per head and higher than other places. So be sure to check your bill if you didn't touch the small plates.

Yelp
Cute Lisbon seafood spot. Had a reservation at 8. By 8:25 we said we'd sit at the bar because no one was getting up. We were lucky since the waitstaff was amazing from behind the bar. There's a young crowd here. A DJ played American music. You pick your fish for grilling or order off the menu. There's a sushi bar in back of the restaurant. We had sushi to start. All fair. Then we shared the octopus over greens with potatoes. The comped champagne was a great gesture for not being able to seat us at a table in the main dining room.

Yelp
Date: Want to go, "Sea Me?" Me: What's that? (*search on Yelp*) Date: It's a seafood restaurant. Me: Ok! :) I was happy to be having seafood in Lisbon since they are known for their fresh food from the sea! Yummy codfish, tiger prawns and scallops! I forgot to order the sardine nigiri since sardine is what Portugal is known for and it was a bit of a Japanese fused restaurant! Oysters were lusciously delicious! Service was swell. Long wait during peak hours, but it's worth it!

Alison F.

Yelp
Wow. It doesn't get much better. As a solo traveler I tend to sit at the bar. The bartender, Rafael, took care of me. He made a special cocktail per my specific taste and recommended the scarlet prawns sautéed in garlic sauce. Everything was perfect. Update: I went a second time and Marta was my bartender. She chatted with Rafael, and I have to say, she made the cocktail even better. Food was amazing too!! Service 5 stars!!

Yelp
Such amazing food! Sea Me may not strike you from the street level as "a cozy, authentic Lisbon spot" because it's spacious and modern - but trust that this is absolutely stunning sea food. We first tried Sea Me at their Time Out Market location and it was so good that we had to stop in to the full restaurant. We were able to sit at the bar without a reservation because we arrived earlier in the evening, but it filled up fast (even on a weekday!). Make a reservation if you can, but also don't turn down the bar - maybe the best seats in the house anyway. Highly recommend the kaffir lime and coconut seafood soup if they still have it on menu and the oysters are a MUST order. Get an array of whichever they have on offer and try them all. We'd never had oysters from these waters before and they may have just been the best ones I've had yet.

Yelp
Me and my husband came here for the all you can eat and we're excited for sushi since we haven't found a place we like yet. So we made a reservation. When we arrived there were about 10 people waiting for a table. I thought, I'm glad a made a reservation. The hostess looked like she was very busy, also bussing tables and cleaning tables in between trying to help people in the front. We told her we had a reservation and she said it's a wait of 5 mins. 20 mins later we weren't seated yet, and she was calling other parties of 2 before us. So the reservation didn't hold... no point to that. So when we finally sat at the table we were starving and asked the waiter for the all you can eat option. That's when he told us that all you can eat is only available at the bar... which was available when we arrived but now was all full. We would've had to go on the waiting list again. We said f it... and just paid for the regular price. Unfortunately the rolls weren't that impressive. It wasn't that fresh and not worth what we paid. I also witness the staff cleaning tables and touching their faces then picking up the sushi from the bar and serving it without washing they hands first. I will not try this place again. Understaffed as well so it took forever.

Yelp
FOOD POISON ALERT!!!! I contacted SeaMe, but their managers ignored us. We are from North America, visiting Lisbon every New Year . I have been to SeaMe Baixi restaurant and Time Out location many times, I have always loved their food; however, this time I am very disappointed. On Jan 2nd, the new year celebration, my boyfriend and me spent almost 100 EUR just for small snacks .It is quite expensive compared to local price. We ordered Scallops, Tuna Tataki, Shell fish, 2 glasses of wine. The scallops tasted a bit strange, we mentioned to the server immediately, but she said they were fresh and we should not worry; However, We got back to our hotel that night and had sick stomach , both of us were throwing up all night with sever food poison. We had busy schedule to go to Porto next day, it was lots of suffering. I threw up on the train, while My boyfriend was passing out, and it was very painful and stressful. We tired to contact SeaMe, but they ignored us.

Yelp
Awesome place that is very casual and a must for seafood lovers. Full menu or you can order from the fresh catch of the day bar. We ordered a whole almaco Jack fish and had half of the fish done as sashimi/sushi and the other half grilled. Both were amazing! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Best restaurant on our visit to Lisbon. I got a little dish at the TineOut place but we decided give this place a shot with no reservation. Man did we luck out. First it's nearly impossible to get in but we arrived 10p and we were eating by 11p. Worked out for us because we were staying on east coast time. Our server was good in English and related to my son on a show he was watching on the screen. The sardines nigiri was so good I got another. The ink rice was too rich but worth trying but maybe w a grp of 4. The clams were excellent. We left w a $100 bill ...so worth it. It was bustling and we felt like we welcome like in NYC. Not true for other places I'm about to review in Cascais and Sintra.

Yelp
This place was amazing in so many ways. My husband and I indulged in some local oysters and sea barnacles. They were amazing. If you have have never had the sea barnacles - get them!!! The shrimp here were so fresh and really tasted how shrimp SHOULD TASTe! We have the sea brim which was yummy as well ... plus the chocolate mousse - all together with one round of wine and a bottle n-- under 200 euros it was crazy!! Pretty sure at blue water grill in Manhattan that would be triple!! For those with toddlers - leave them at home. The restaurant tries to cater to them but it is loud and happening joint. Toddlers aren't hip with that lol ...

Yelp
While enjoying many fresh grilled seafood in Lisbon we wanted to check out a sushi restaurant for some sushi and sashimi. After some yelp search we found Sea Me near our hotel, about 12 minute walk. The restaurant looked nice inside but I noticed as we were sitting at the sushi bar, there were only a few different kinds of fish, mainly tuna and salmon. The server brought us a small basket of bread with a few condiments, including crab pate, which tasted good. We shared a squid salad and combination plate of sushi and sashimi. The food was okay. They also charge you for bread and the condiments for 7€. The service was good. Anyone from California or other big cities in US does not need to eat sushi in Lisbon. Their grilled seafood is much better.

Yelp
We had a fantastic meal here. Walked in around 8 and managed to get a nice little booth by the window. We started with aperol spritzes and prawns on the server's recommendation. Moved on to a lovely bottle of vino verde and some nigiri sushi and an order of ceviche. We topped it off with the cuttlefish burgers and everything was excellent. It's not wildly expensive (from a US tourist perspective) but as Lisbon goes, it's on the high end. And it's very heavy on garlic, so if you're slightly intolerant, as I am, keep an eye out. But even after fishing a relentless amount of whole garlic out of my dishes, it was five stars fabulous.

Yelp
Exquisitely fresh seafood and a modern ambiance make this restaurant the perfect spot for a nice night out with friends or a significant other, while still being affordable. Have your pick of the delicious menu options or check out the multiple fresh catches of the day at market price. Great wine selection as well. Dishes work well to share and each was better than the last!

Yelp
I must admit a tiny bit tipsy at this point, but wanted a small sushi bite and a cocktail. This spot had a lot of Yelp review and the place was busy inside. I sat at the bar and ordered some sort of salmon roll with something on top - I tried to understand what exactly it was from the waitress (she spoke Spanish) and she explained, but I only understood every 3rd or 4th word so I just ordered it. It was yummy, the servers were friendly and the place was nice. Not necessarily a spot I would need to go to again, but I was happy I went and it was worth it.

Yelp
I tried the Sea Me counter at the Time Out Market and the food did not disappoint. More affordable than the restaurant, you can get a portion of cod fish cakes and tomato rice for less than 15€. Lots of wine options available too, many bottles at reasonable prices. The cod fish cakes were average, more like a potato croquette. The tomato rice was the standout - it was cooked in a flavorful broth, not too salty and well cooked (not mushy or al dente).

Yelp
We ate at this location at the time out market near Lisbon train station. We ordered codfish fritters and Roasted cod fish with potatoes a d greens. It took about 20 minutes before our order was ready. Fortunately, we found seats near the stall so we could monitor. Food was good. Forgot to take photos since we were super hungry (lol)

Yelp
The food is great but if your not attentive to the seafood items you pick at the back., your paying way more than you think. Take a picture of the items ( focus on the amount and size ) you want them to cook. They show you that they weigh it and set aside. By the time they serve it, check your photos. The amount of your bill is a ripoff. Their nothing but thieves.

Yelp
This place is pretentious AF. They treated us like shit because we look like homeless backpackers, despite the fact we actually can afford to eat here. The waiter was an awful, arrogant sob and when I asked for tap water, he scoffed, "We don't serve that," and left without another word and wouldn't come back for 15 minutes. My second drink order took so long the food had come and went. The sushi bar was nice to sit at, as the sushi chef was friendly enough. The three stars are because the innovative maki was good. The simpler fish, like sashimi, was average as best. Sometimes it's the simple Japanese food that really shows you if a place is talented and good though....like a piece of amazing tuna sashimi would impress me more than an interesting piece of eel and foie gras maki. Expensive for Portugal as well. And no tap water.

Yelp
A couple nights before dining at this Sea Me location, I visited the Timeout Market and saw people walking around with Sea Me's food (they have a stall at the market) and was very intrigued. As it turned out, my friend and I were able to snag a couple bar seats at the Bairro Alto location with ease. The only thing on my mind that evening was the sardine nigiri as they looked fantastic from the night before and boy was I right...they didn't disappoint. The beautiful part about the sardine is how oily it is and when lightly torched and gently dusted with salt, it's perfection. They were a bit heavy handed on the rice but, all in all it's a lovely dish. Highly recommend. The service at the bar was solid, as we consumed a bottle of white wine from the Douro and polished off the night with some fernet :)
