It's the only dive shop on Saba, and it's illegal to dive on your own and it's illegal to do deco diving in Saba. Therefore, if you want to dive Saba you have no choice but to dive with Sea Saba. As a dive outfit they were okay...not great and not bad.
On your first day they give you a crate and a hanger. At the end of the day your reg, BCD and fins go in the crate and your wetsuit goes on the hanger. They say that they wash the gear, but I honestly can't confirm that. I washed my wetsuit on the boat and put it on the hanger believing that they would hang dry wetsuits in preparation for the next day. They did not and in the morning our wetsuits were cold and clammy. If you want a dry wetsuit bring it back to your lodging to dry.
If you paid attention the dive briefings were very thorough. The crew was helpful getting divers off and on the boat. There was plenty to drink on the boat (water and Gatorade), but you're on your own for between dive snacks.
The days we had larger groups on board they typically had us go in one group with a lead and trailing dive guide. I did not notice the trailing dive guide finding critters...maybe I just was never in a position for them to point something out to me. Personally, I think it would have been better to have two groups.
Maybe it was just the time of the year (early March), but I did not find the pinnacles to be that great. There was no life at the 90'-100' depth it took to reach the pinnacles that was not in shallower waters. The pinnacle dives were strictly for the geology so if that isn't your thing you may want to skip these dives. We did two so I doubt it was an isolated case. Pinnacles usually attract life so maybe it just wasn't the right time of year to witness that.
At the end of your trip they say that they will clean your gear before delivering it to your lodging. I can't confirm that they cleaned the gear. However, my wetsuit looked like it fell in the dirt cause it was dirtier upon delivery that it was when I put it on the hanger after cleaning it on the boat. No biggie, I washed it in the shower and set it on my patio to dry before packing up for home.
Overall, Saba was an interesting place to dive and I have no complaints. Just wanted to provide information so others are fully aware of what to expect.
