Scuba Magazine accurately highlighted Saba and its dive sites. It offers an incredible series of dives filled with a rich diversity of marine life. The team at Sea Saba played a crucial role in making this experience possible. Initially, I was unsure about how to get there from St. Martin, but they guided me through every step of the journey.
Saba itself has nice hotels and excellent restaurants if you're interested in exploring the island. You can enjoy diving and then consider mountain climbing—or the other mountaineering things! The flight back to St. Martin is quite low altitude, so I had no issues on the return trip - 12-20 mintues actual flight time.
The dive boat is top-notch, featuring two exit doors and a large ladder for easy disembarkation. For photographers, there are opportunities for both macro and wide-angle shots—my advice: bring two cameras. The "needle" at the pinnacle was an amazing highlight and one of the most memorable moments of the 2,000 dives I have completed. I'm planning to return just for that dive, which is at a depth of 30 meters.
The dive masters were extremely knowledgeable and helped me discover all sorts of fascinating marine life. They were great company and made the experience even more enjoyable.
