The place was perfect and we visited in the summer. It has a great view of the mountains that you don't get in Ontario. In addition to the mountain views, you can follow the hiking trails to see the valley from afar and have the opportunity to meet a variety of wildlife. Incidentally, the map of the hiking trails here even comes with a mobile app which is really handy. Although it's a bit far from downtown Vancouver and you need to take an hour bus ride to get here, you can complete your transportation booking just by using the external link provided by Google maps. Once you've been here, you'll never regret the hour-long drive.

So much fun. The ride up is absolutely beautiful with 360 degree views. Once you’re up top, the trails are well marked, and super enjoyable to walk. The restaurant was very tasty and they had many different unique beverages to choose from. If you buy your tickets online you save a few bucks too. Definitely recommend going!

Sea to Sky Gondola Review Visiting the Sea to Sky Gondola was one of the highlights of our trip to Vancouver! The experience was breathtaking from start to finish. The gondola ride itself offers stunning panoramic views of Howe Sound, lush forests, and the majestic mountains. It’s a smooth and peaceful ascent, giving you plenty of time to take in the scenery and snap photos. Once at the top, the views are even more spectacular, especially from the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge—it feels like you’re walking on air with the mountains surrounding you. There are several well-maintained hiking trails at the summit, suitable for different fitness levels, as well as cozy spots to relax and enjoy the scenery. The café at the top serves snacks and drinks. If you’re visiting Vancouver or the surrounding area, the Sea to Sky Gondola is an absolute must-see! Just be sure to dress warmly, especially in winter, as it gets quite chilly at the summit.

Google
Exhilarating nature experience all year round - cheaper than the Whistler gondola, and you get to see some excellent panoramic views as you walk around at the peak. There’s some trails for the more adventurous people, however in the winter you need proper shoes for these. The suspension bridge is a nice additional attraction to check out whilst you’re here, for all ages.

Google
We went on a week day and odd hours so there was absolutely no rush and did not have to wait at all for the gondola. The gondola ride from the base station to the summit is breath taking. The summit has its own suspension bridge. Another good thing about the summit is that it has trails for all the people , like, easy, medium and expert. The restaurant on the summit also had a good variety of food.

Google
INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE! Definitely recommend if you are ever visiting BC! Although the price may seem a lot, it is worth every dollar. There’s mist stations as well as a souvenir shops and small food vendors prior to boarding the gondola. The gondola was clean, and the views were incredible. Once you arrive to the top there’s a spot where you can grab a bite to eat, relax and enjoy the views. There’s no specific time or amount of time you have at the top. There’s a handful of hikes that you’re open to explore. The day we went there was also a wedding ceremony going on so that is also an option. Included with the price you can cross the suspension bridge to see even more views of the mountains. Staff were very helpful and friendly and you can tell they are happy with what they do. 10/10 experience⭐️

Google
Great experience and beautiful. It's worth the money. I booked in advance and got right on, went up to explore, and came back. No wait. They have a restaurant and store at the top. Bathrooms are clean, and the suspension bridge was nice. We went with snow on the ground, so be prepared to dress warm.

Google
This was an incredible experience! The views eating lunch at the top were amazing. Looking down over the lake and mountain ranges. The suspension bridge was incredible! This is a must do experience. There is a cafe with grab and go items and a restaurant at the top. There are shops both at the top and bottom of the gondola with fun items! The ride isn't for those with height fears as the gondola does jerk and shift throughout the ride. The hike might be more height fear friendly.

Yelp
Sea to Sky Gondola is a must stop if you're in the Vancouver area! For about $60/pp, a ticket pays for a round trip gondola ride up a mountain. The views from the gondola itself are STUNNING. I was amazed by how high it took us, because it was much higher than it seemed from the bottom of the mountain. The views from the top are even better and from the top, there are quite a few viewing points, hikes, a suspension bridge, and a cafe/bar to check out. The day we went, there was snow so they also offered tubing, which is cool! Overall, it's a bit pricey but I'd highly recommend checking it out if you've never been.

Yelp
I spent some time debating if I should do this gondola or the Peak 2 Peak in Whistler, but ended up doing both. Sea to Sky has more hiking trails, while Peak 2 Peak is more just for views. If you're driving between Vancouver and Whistler, the Sea to Sky Gondola is about a halfway point on the 2 hour drive on the Sea to Sky Highway. If you're trying to decide which direction you go, it's easier to go when you're driving North to Whistler, since that's where it's located. Otherwise you'll have to make a U-turn somewhere. Not a big deal but a little annoying. We did the Sea to Sky Gondola on the drive back to Vancouver, so we needed to do a U-turn to get to the park, and another U-turn after to get back on the road to Vancouver. We planned it for a Sunday at 4 PM because they have discounted weekend tickets if you go 4 PM or later, so we bought the tickets online. This is a good time to go if you're just planning to ride the gondola up, get some views, and do some short trails. But if you are an avid hiker, they have much longer trails of varying difficulties, and I would recommend going in the morning since they close at 8 PM (weekend summer hours - be sure to check before you go). It wasn't too crowded at the time we went. There is a suspension bridge up there, which is the main attraction but there are ways to go around it if that's not your thing. We did two of the quick trails and in total, we spent about an hour there, which included the gondola ride up/down, suspension bridge, exploring at the top, and taking photos. There are two sides for the parking lot, with someone directing traffic. You need to pay at the meter/through the app for parking so don't forget to do that before you head up. Overall, it was a nice visit, though pricey. We paid $45 CAD compared to the full price of $67.95. If you're buying the full price tickets, buy online to save 10%, and you'll also get to skip the line. I'm not sure if it's really worth full price, but I'm glad we go to go on the discounted price.

Yelp
We took a short drive over, after visiting the shannon falls. The gondola itself was pretty scary for those who are afraid of heights, just because of how high up it went. Luckily, it was sturdy and didn't wobble. You are allowed up to 8 people per gondola. At the top, there were restaurants, plenty of tables to enjoy your meals and snacks, hiking trails, a small playground, and a suspension bridge too. We felt that this suspension bridge was more sturdy than the capilano suspension bridge, so it was less scary for us. We didn't do any of the hikes besides the very short hike back after taking the suspension bridge across, but even the short loop offered gorgeous views and plenty of photo opportunities. You can easily spend hours here, especially if you plan to do the hikes.

Yelp
Unless you wanna hike up to the top, this is the way to go. A little pricey for a round-trip up to the top of the mountain, but definitely worth it. We came here on a rainy day, so the views were not as spectacular as I imagine them on a clear day. Plus, we got to go on a gondola which was super fun.

Yelp
First time doing this and I can say I really recommend this place. I even brought my two boys who's 2 years old and 11 months. They really enjoyed the view and trip as well. All season long the view was beautiful. We saw the winter time but the snow was still nice. The hikes and the bridge made it worth it.

Yelp
This is the must must place to visit if you are traveling to Vancouver! First the service is excellent! The counter offered us the family package to save a lots of money for the gondola. The view from the gondola is breathtaking. The whole beautiful view from sea to mountains The trails are long, but some are short, so just look for the map to decide. Remember to keep the ticket to going down the gondola (they scan it before let you in to going down) The foods are good too.

Yelp
Last spring, we visited this attraction in Squamish. I've been to Vancouver a few times and this was the first time I visited the Sea to Sky Gondola. Parking is free at the base and buying tickets online is a bit cheaper than in-person. The gondola ride was about ten minutes each way. The panoramic views on top were spectacular! I'm glad the weather was on our side. So many beautiful photo ops! There is also a suspension bridge on top as well as many trails for hiking enthusiasts. I would definitely recommend adding this attraction to your bucket list if you visit Vancouver.

Yelp
If you're looking a fun adventure, then this is the place for you. Buy tickets online to save a little money. After purchasing your tickets, you'll receive a QR code via email. The ticket is good for a round trip ride. Pro Tip: Plan to arrive at opening to avoid large crowds. The gondola ride up to the top is about 10 minutes. It has floor to ceiling glass windows and can accommodate up to 8 passengers. The views is spectacular! Once at the top, you will arrive at the Summit Lodge - a great place to grab a bite to eat or sit out at the patio to enjoy those epic views. We decided on two beginner hikes - Spirit Trail and Panorama Trail. I would highly recommend both hikes. The Panorama hike was my fave! It had a viewing platform that had the most amazing views! Overall would highly recommend Sea to Sky Gondola! Great for kids and seniors who are looking for easy hikes!

Amanda A.

Yelp
Minus 2 stars because the staff hates dogs but giving it 3 since they made the exception for my pup (but they were super rude about it). Views were great. Heads up for folks with dogs: they ask you to leave your dog tied up alone in a dog area. They told me that there is usually no concern about people messing with the dogs, although there is a history of bears and cougars in the area. Do NOT leave your dog alone!

Yelp
Sea to Sky Gondola, one of the prime, major attractions in beautiful Squamish, British Columbia! Funny, quick backstory, I was visiting Squamish last year and the line just to enter the parking area lot of this Sea to Sky Gondola stretched onto the road, and for me...I couldn't handle the overwhelming traffic, so I never made it here. Alas! Fast forward 1 year later at the start of July 1, 2023...it even being Canada Day (it's Canada's 4th of July) and I was arriving at 9am just when they opened. Yep, this year, I was prepared and there was no stopping me! Parking is free. I found a spot immediately as I was one of the first visitors to arrive on the day. The fee to ride the gondola is $72 - Canadian. Then with almost $5 in tax, the total is $77. Since I am American and used my credit card to pay, it automatically converts $77 - Canadian down to about $52 - US...which is more manageable. Although there's a gift shop down at the base and I'm a sucker for souvenirs, I managed to skip the enticement and immediately boarded my very own cable car pod for the 10 - 12 minute ride to the top of Squamish Mountain. That was great to have a gondola to myself, so it allowed me to take pictures and videos at my own accord without being interrupted by strangers. One thing I'd also like to mention is that since I'm always traveling alone, having to share a ride with strangers is never fun. I guess not having someone to accompany me can be a downer. But that's okay. I've grown accustomed to doing things when and how I want, that is sort of an institutional feeling I am hostage to. Alright...sorry for going off on a tangent, lol. But, the pod can hold up to 8 passengers which is great for big families. At the top of the mountain, there are panoramic deck views looking down on Howe Sound and the lush Squamish landscape. This overlook deck is located in the rear of the Summit House. I suggest you immediately go for pictures from the deck point before the crowds arrive. And yes, tourists will arrive in full force no matter how many times the experience gets repetitive, the same perspectives over and over and over. Tourists keep coming, and this Sea to Sky Gondola keeps charging monstrous entrance fees. It's the way of life in the gondola services industry, lol. Also at the Summit House is a cafeteria, coffee shop, bar selling alcohol, washrooms (or restrooms us American citizens say) a 2nd gift shop and a suspension bridge that is very, very popular! This suspension bridge was so crowded that I didn't even bother crossing it. I just viewed it swaying aplenty in the distance. And yet people kept taking pictures and pictures and more pictures despite the traffic at the bridge being quite hectic with...everybody! Towards the back of the Summit House, the Sea to Sky Gondola offers hiking trails for those who'd like to get out into nature and away from the herd of masses. The hikes are relatively short in length and accommodative for families with young children. I highly recommend the easiest of them all...the 4/10th's of a kilometer long SPIRIT TRAIL. It's here you'll find some of the best sceneries getting away from that ultra congested viewing deck. First up, the vista point is called...ATL'KA7TSEM LOOKOUT. And I swear...that's what the signpost said! I have pics to prove it, lol. You'll have a fantastic opportunity to see Howe Sound without many disruptions. There's a popular bench to sit on for great photo moment. Next on the trail is SKY PILOT LOOKOUT. It's a good chance to see Shannon Canyon in the distance, again with a bench to sit down on. Those are the Must-Do vista points along SPIRIT TRAIL. Afterwards, I immediately suggest heading towards PANORAMA TRAIL for the simple 1.3 kilometer walk to CHIEF OVERLOOK! You will be stunned with the 180 degrees at CHIEF OVERLOOK. It's maybe the best sight at the summit! I was here around 10am and had just enough time to get in my pics before crowds showed up. This CHIEF OVERLOOK is an extension platform hanging over the cliffside. It's not scary and totally worth it! The final hike I'll mention is HIGHLINE TRAIL. This is another 1 kilometer or so hike that'll lead you to the top of an overlook point but the problem here is that the forest trees have grown over time to block a portion of the scenery. So after witnessing the surroundings along SPIRIT TRAIL and at CHIEF OVERLOOK, honestly, anything else was a letdown. Since I'm running out of space, I'll cut things short... There are some backcountry hikes for more adventurous trail setters. For me, I was fine with what I had captured without having to work hard. Lastly, there are picnic tables, chairs and spacing in the rear of the Summit House to make for an event filled day for everyone. Overall, I liked this Sea to Sky Gondola, but in the end it's way too crowded and touristy for me to ever return.

Yelp
The hikes are really fun and nice. The gondola experience is really good. Its a little pricy so should take advantage and go early and make sure to leave on time.

Yelp
We drove from Vancouver, which is about an hour away. It wasn't crowded, since we came on a weekday morning. By purchasing tickets online, we saved a few bucks. It was $61.95 CAD for adults. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the gondola as I'm afraid of heights. The ride was smooth though, and the views were amazing! When we arrived, we took in our surroundings at the Summit Lodge Viewing Deck. Then we crossed the suspension bridge to the Spirit Viewing Platform. We proceeded to walk the Spirit Trail (400 meters) and Panaroma Trail (1.3km). The Spirit Trail was nicely decorated for the Christmas season. The Panorama Trail is a must as it leads to the Chief Overlook Viewing Platform, which hangs over hundreds of meters. When we were on the trails, it was a winter wonderland. Everything was blanketed by snow- beautiful and peaceful. Afterwards, I warmed up by grabbing a drink at the Summit Lodge. I enjoyed my overall experience. It was definely memorable!

Yelp
* Gondola ride and suspension bridge views We went here after breakfast. Such a great experience to try while in British Columbia.

Yelp
A bit pricey for round trip tickets but we felt it was worth it. The gondola ride itself is ~10 minutes each way and provides you with great views as you go up and down from the summit. Immediately after unloading at the top there is a viewing platform as well as a small cafe and gift shop. You can also check out the suspension bridge and additional trails. I'm not always great with heights but I had a great time. The views really are beautiful and it's fun to ride up and down. Definitely worth doing!

Jaida P.

Yelp
Such an unforgettable experience! So many views from crazy heights, there's a gift shop, food options, hikes, a suspension bridge and the gondolas. Highly recommend to experienced a different side of Canada

Yelp
Great experience, it is fast to get the tickets and going up on cable transportation. There's many souvenirs once you are up, great for pictures and sightseeing went in June 2023.

Yelp
Making people pay for parking at your own private attraction is hilarious. Also my online ticket was never delivered after multiple hours and I had to go through guest services. However staff was helpful. This is purely redeemed by the gondola ride and view from the top. However the hikes were outshined by several other free options in the area.

Yelp
One of the many place I would love to go back to. This is really Beautiful place to visit. The ride itself is something to be treasured. It's exciting and fun. Truly is an adventure.

Yelp
We were in Vancouver for a few days and the winter weather was not too cooperative. I guess it's typical for our PNW region. It was cloudy and rainy every day we were there and while we really wanted to try Sea to Sky Gondola, we were afraid we wouldn't be able to see the famous view and it wouldn't be worth it for us. When the rain stopped and it was mostly cloudy with a few spots of the blue sky, we decided to give it a go. The one-hour drive from Vancouver to Squamish was pretty scenic. The drive reminded me of the I-84 in Oregon, driving next to the beautiful Columbia river. The weather kept changing seemingly every minute of the drive and it was still very cloudy when we got close to Shannon Falls, which was really close to Sea to Sky Gondola. Like other reviewers, we decided to stop by the fall since the weather wasn't too great anyway. Shannon Falls was a great pitstop and the hike was short and sweet. Suddenly, the weather started changing and the sky started revealing more of its blue beauty. We drove further north for like a minute or two and we were at Sea to Sky Gondola. In the car, we bought the tickets online to save a few bucks. And then we went straight to the Gondola using our digital tickets on the phone. The gondola was clean, comfy, and smooth. We enjoyed our ride both ways. The views were pretty spectacular. The ride was not too long (about 10 mins) and we got up to the top pretty quickly while enjoying the views of the fjord. When we got to the top, it was super cold and windy. We got to the observation deck and we were able to see some blue sky mixed with clouds, which actually made it look pretty dramatic. We also checked out the suspension bridge, which was pretty cute and definitely not big enough to replace the Capilano experience. It was super cold so we went inside the building to enjoy some hot drinks and heated air. We would love to come back when the tubing park is open so that we could spend more time on the mountain. All in all, we are glad to check this off our list!

Yelp
Second time taking the gondola, both times while visiting Vancouver in the summer. The pictures don't do it justice -- the views are fantastic. The ride itself is 5-10 minutes, hard to remember the exact length because of the the enrapturing views. There are hiking trails at the top ranging from 30 mins to multiple hours, but the view right at the top of the gondola is the best one. The cafe has passable food, but it's best to grab a seat at the edge and enjoy a drink at the top of BC. Need to know: Even though the company has a monopoly on this kind of attraction, the prices are pretty reasonable: $48 (USD) for adults, and they have group packages for families (you can save a few bucks by buying online). Notable: There's a suspension bridge at the top which you can enjoy at no additional charge, which is better than paying about the same rate at somewhere like Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Yelp
Ok, I'll start by admitting that the gondola ride was scary for me. Not for everyone in our group, but for me and one other person. That being said, the payoff for making it through the 10 minutes is well worth it and I will absolutely be doing it again. The views from the top are amazing. We only did the popular easy hikes, but enjoyed them both. Would love to go back without the kids and do one of the longer more difficult hikes. We also did not eat up there, but the outdoor seating had incredible views and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. I know the reviews complain about the price. Really? At a time when it costs $80 to feed my family of 4 at Chipotle I didn't feel like the cost for this half day of entertainment was bad at all.

Yelp
This is my experience over heat wave time in July 29. It was roasted hot day at Cafe/restaurant deck and I hope they had prepared more parasols. There were lots of empty tables are left under the sun at busy lunch time and guests kept looking for the best shade. (I had lunch on the rock under the trees. Cooler!) There is cold water server in the cafe. So bring your water bottle. I had spent about 3 hours for summit trails and lunch. Even intermediate, quite easy hike. But you need at least runner shoes. No sandal, nor flip-flops please. Trails are well maintained and easy to see the sign.

Yelp
The Sea To Sky Gondola was epic. This is one of the must do things when visiting the Vancouver area. It's a gondola ride up to the top of a mountain and over the Howe Sound. It also has cafes, hiking trails, lodges and a suspension bridge. Tickets were easy to purchase online in advance. The gondola operator simply scans the barcode from your phone before boarding. The trails at the top of the mountain were a bit snowy when I went, but the views of the surrounding landscape were worth the ride.

Dona Y.

Yelp
THE VIEWS ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY! We went when it was foggy and raining but it gave the views a different feel. Such a magical place. The ride up isn't as scary as I thought and the views there were great also. They have 2 or so gift shops and cafes for you to enjoy

Tori A.

Yelp
Incredible view from the top! If you're scared of heights it can be a little daunting going up in the gondola, but it is totally worth it. Beautiful views and a lot of small hikes.

Yelp
This is an ABSOLUTE. MUST. SEE. in the Vancouver area! It may not sound like much: ride a gondola up and down the mountain.... but the reality is so much better. The views are amazing while on the gondola and from the Lodge at the top. I'm not a big fan of heights and was able to do this fine. It feels VERY safe. At the top there are things to do and more to see. If you love seeing beautiful snow capped mountains descending into the rivers and bay below, you will be quite pleased. We crossed the suspension bridge which brings you to another viewpoint. (*note - the day we went, there were several groups of students on field trip so if you are wary of heights(me), I suggest waiting till said students have cleared the bridge as they took great delight in running, jumping and swaying the bridge). But if you persevere the view is worth it. Also there is a gift shop and a little cafe in the lodge at the top. Both are worth a visit! Great items in the gift shop and not trashy touristy junk either. The cafe was actually really good and reasonable priced. We had some outstanding hot chocolate, prepared by the barista, including whipped cream (of course!). Just a reminder you are ascending rather significantly so dress accordingly. We were there at the beginning of March and there was still plenty of snow, cold weather and whirling winds at the top as you might expect. Also the day we went it was somewhat cloudy as is often the case in BC but still beautiful. Definitely worth it any time! Everyone was super friendly and helpful too. Nothing negative and can't describe all the positives!

Yelp
When you are looking from the bottom of the lift, you only see a short ride, but as you ride to the top, you will see it is a three tier lift. It is well monitored by their very nice and professional staff. The reason for the 4 stars and not five, is their food menu. Even though you take into consideration how high up it is, the menu could use some work. Afterall, they do sever some good beer and wine. The ice cream truck is only one flavor soft serve, vanilla, BUT they top the ice cream off with different flavors such as mango and fudge. Again, very nice views and the staff is unreal kind and professional.

Yelp
What more can I say except GORGEOUS! This ride to the top of Squamish mountain does not disappoint, there are amazing views all around you. Once at the top I highly recommend doing one of the excursion tours. We did the via Ferrata with Dan as our tour guide! It was a great and adventurous experience. There are also several hiking trails with great views and great bird watching locations.

Yelp
26AUG2022: Stopped impromptu enroute Whistler, completely unexpected and unplanned. If this happens to you, do not drive by without stopping and taking a trip to the top. Incredible Gondola ride, views are breathtaking. The ride itself is well organized, very brief wait after buying tickets - line moves fast. The top has a wonderful suspension bridge you can traverse, and if the weather is accommodating, there are plenty of food choices and lots of tables with incredible views. Don't miss it, and if you can have lunch at the top - that is the icing on the cake.

Yelp
Sooooo ahmazing - up here at the Sea to Sky Gondola @ Squamish!!! The splendid beautiful nature in the province of British Columbia is spectacular! About an hours drive from downtown Vancouver on the fabulous Sea-to-Sky Highway aka Highway 99, the trip up here is breathtaking! Heads up - a must see is my 'Squamish' review for more pics & info! Do yourselves a favour! Prepare to want to pull over several times on the way up & back to Vancouver! This is the route that many of you have used before to get to Whistler (skiing, hiking, biking) - so you'll already be familiar with how magnificent the drive is heading up! The Sea to Sky Gondola @ Squamish was closed 9 months ago after some loser cut the gondola wire = several million dollars in damage!!! Would you believe that this was the second time it was sabotaged!?! Yes for real!!! Millions in damage! The bandit had struck for the first time 14 months ago!!! Excuse my French but ... shut the front door!!! Hello where was security!?? Someone was asleep at the wheel! The good news - it's finally reopened & I was very excited to come up here - before it gets sabotaged & cut for the third time!!! Yikes! The ride up takes 10 minutes. It's pretty much your typical gondola ride up - you feel a little nervous, you're not sure about this, you make the cross sign before departure, as it begins to move you feel your stomach flip ... then all of a sudden you're swept away by the natural beauty all around you as you rise up to the top! High up at the top - 2,900 feet (880m) - mountains, ocean, forest & blue sky for miles, all surround you in truly natural breathtaking beauty! As much as I could really get carried away with bigly words, fancy adjectives, verbs & other verbiage, let me just say - come up here & see for yourselves - ASAP! A super natural high as your mind takes it all in - is all I can say! There is a restaurant with patio at the top, but make sure to check hours & availability first & make a reservation. Hot tip news flash alert aka PAY ATTENTION here - there are several restaurant options in the downtown Squamish core area so perhaps have a bigly lunch there first - before heading over here to the gondola. You can settle on drinks up top at the Sky Pilot Restaurant. Cheers! Part 2 of the heads up alert - when driving up here (from Vancouver) you can turn right into the parking lot for the gondola. Now if you opt to go into downtown Squamish first, the return back to the base parking for the gondola is a bit tricky. The highway divider does not let you turn left into the parking lot. Hence you must drive ahead past the parking lot for about a minute & then turn around. Part 3 ... free parking = bring all 5 of your cars! Make sure to use the Google or Waze apps for directions to get here off the highway - ok! End of hot tip alert! You're welcome! Plan accordingly for several hours up at the top of the gondola. Do check the weather report first as overcast cloudy days will wreck visibility & your pictures will suck! My focus areas were the gongola & the suspension bridge - but take note there are several trails up here if you're interested in hiking. I took advantage of the evening sunset special rate (after 4pm - 40% off ticket price) - as it's rather pricey! Make sure to have your phones charged up to 100% pre arrival here - you will be snapping away nonstop!!! Folks don't let that mutha tucker saboteur ruin your visit here - do plan & book your trip ASAP cause you never know when he might strike again! A clear blue sky & sunny day are required to marvel at all this heavenly majestic beauty! Again & I stress - check the weather report & plan accordingly ... so as not to regret coming up on a crappie day! Come experience it all for yourself! There's a reason this province is self branded & marketed as - "Super, Natural British Columbia!"

Yelp
Professionally run and well maintained. Parking lot managed efficiently. Staff were everywhere making sure guests had a good experience. The car was clean and new. The ride smooth and efficient. There are good food options at the top for a post-hike snack. Lot's of deck space. Excellent views up and doen the sound and of the surrounding mountains.

Yelp
Came here on a trip to Vancouver and this is easily one of the best places we visited. We took the shuttle bus from downtown Vancouver to the gondola and the bus driver was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There's lots of hiking trails available of different lengths. Views from the gondola and trails are amazing. We were able to get a discount by buying tickets from a 3rd party site. Just a note that if you buy tickets from a 3rd party vendor you will have to line up at guest services to get a valid ticket to go up the gondola.

Yelp
Totally worth the amazing views! Absolutely breathing taking! A bunch of walking trails and little quick restaurants at the top.

Yelp
Nice majestic views of Howe Sound. It was $150CAD/family of 4 to go up. Once you are on the top, there are two types of eatery (poutine with fries) or tacos/breakfast/type of food indoors. There were some gondola's outside where you can sit in to eat at. There were many hiking trails on top which we did.

Yelp
Took the gondola up and down (a lot of people choose to hike up). Thought it was totally worth it. Breathtaking views of Howe Sound and Squamish and the surrounding mountains. Suspension bridge at the top is very cool and there loads of trails at the top to explore. I got there at 8:40 and was one of the first people in line since they don't technically open the gondolas for guests until 9:00am. So I ended up being one of the first people up there and got the bridge to myself. It was very peaceful being up there solo and being able to take in the views. Get there early and it is worth it! Also note the facilities at the bottom and top are great and there is food at the top.

Yelp
A definite 'must do.' I've been to Vancouver 3 times...always come here. Squamish has a lot to offer, so eat there.

Yelp
With Squamish being a small and gorgeous town, we loved every bit of our stay. However, our favourite highlight was this. We were super surprised at how amazing the view is and what we could do at the top of the mountain. This is a place I recommend everybody to go to when staying (or just passing through) in Squamish

Yelp
Great views and good place to chill out and enjoy nature, is a great experience that you must do at least once

Yelp
The shuttle from Vancouver was TOUGH. The suspension is shot and only the aisle seats have an armrest on one side. The window sill is narrow and sharp and seats are not ergonomic and slippery. Add to that a driver straight out of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and you are in for a grind of a trip. You are constantly trying to manage swerves without any support, and if you get carsick you can't lean your head against the window because every bump the glass will slam against your head. Exhausting drive. Maybe one of those neck pillows would help, but I doubt it. Trails at top super gentle.

Yelp
Amazing views on a nice sunny day! Worth the 1 hour drive from Vancouver with friends. Great place to visit and highly recommend. Once you pay for admission tickets, get on line for the cable car ride up to the top. The ride up was interesting and you can feel the bumps at each of the intervals...only a bit scary if you are afraid of heights...more so it the cable car stops for awhile, which happened on the way down. Bring water or buy some at the shop before you go up. You will need it especially if you plan to do some hiking. Prices are a bit steep but worth it for at least one time...make sure to bring more than one credit card...as I had problem with mine when paying for the tickets. Once at the top, very nice view to take pictures from many angles and then cross the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge. Please heed the warnings when walking across the bridge (no running!). After crossing the bridge, follow the hiking trails - we took the easy Spirit Trail for 400m around to get in some walking and exercise. During our walk, there was Axe throwing which is now so common everywhere...but I can say Canada is where we first saw it...pay and sign a waiver and do some axe throwing and follow all the safety rules (these are real axes!). Next the Panorama Trail for 1.4km to the Chief Viewing Platform...then back to the starting point.. Great day and views. Perfect place for pictures. Best to go earlier in the day as it is less crowded.

Yelp
Visited on a Thursday in late July and it was fantastic! Views were amazing, gondola ride was steep (not for those afraid of heights) and at least 10 minutes long one way - I work somewhere that has the exact same gondola (literally) but our ride is only 4 minutes one way so I thought this might be less fun for me, but it wasn't! Arrived around 11am and got on the gondola with no wait. They did put our family of 3 in a car with another couple who clearly would have rather had their own car, but it was fine. At the top we went over the suspension bridge and did the short loop hike, then had lunch (3 food areas close together with 3 menus but 2 places to pay was a bit confusing) and the food was good. Mac & cheese was standard cafeteria quality but our 4 year old didn't care, hot dog & sausage from the outdoor barbecue were quite good. There's a play area next to one of the inside tables with wooden toys mounted on the wall - our 4 year old loved it. Gift shop was filled with nice shirts and mountain related items - we got a print from a local artist. We went back and forth across the suspension bridge again after lunch. No line to ride down around 2pm and there was a food truck selling delicious chimney cake cones with soft serve at the bottom. The playgrounds at the bottom and top are better suited to kids age 6+, steep stairs and climbing structures, no swings or small slides. Very glad I read other reviews that talked about the weather - quality of this experience would really be different on a cloudy or very cold day. If you can, look at the weather reports and their web cam before choosing your day to visit.

Yelp
One star for the VIEW ONLY. The staff (management) lack professionalism and I personally experienced being single out (borderline harassed) for NVD. I have travelled all over the world and never received such horrible treatment. Will never return or recommend to others. There are better and cheaper options available so do your research

Yelp
One of the most memorable moments you can have in Squamish on your vacation, hike, eat and have a cold drink at the top overlooking the the cena, no i twins and the Chief. The photo opportunities from the lo our point are second to none. Enjoy!

Yelp
It was rainy the day we were here do we really didn't get the great vista views but we did hike and walk the suspension bridge. We made the best of a wet situation and day. We still had an amazing time. Worth the trip anyway!

Yelp
Wow what an experience. Just viewing it from the parking lot gave me butterflies. I enjoyed the different trails to go on to be able to add to the experience If you ever want to explore the beauty, the amazing view, the first time experiences this will definitely be the spot to do it! Pricing is Reasonable

Yelp
If you are on your way to Vancouver and have money to spare check out Sea to Sky Gondola. It's probably about an hour an some minutes from Vancouver with a nice drive and views. Very nice cable car ride up to the Gondola. Walking over the suspension bridge seemed a bit scary but once you get to the other side you are able to go on a little hiking trail and find great spots for pictures! They do have a cafe were you are able to order food, drinks, and souvenirs. Outside seating area very nice to enjoy a drink and look at the views. Place can get busy and will be hard to get pictures if you don't want anyone in the background. Nice weather when I went end of April. Great experience to see and something fun to do.

Yelp
We checked online for details on the how, who, when, where and the why.....why?.... because we wanted to get out of the downtown area atmosphere for the day and do something more scenic. You can buy your tickets, transportation shuttle all online. That's exactly what I did. If you don't feel like driving from downtown(that's exactly how I felt), they offer shuttle service. There are about 3 pickup spots in downtown (between 9am -930am depending on which location you at), Canada Place, Hyatt, and the library. Taking attendance getting onto the shuttle was a bit of a process, not sure why they went alphabetical instead of checking who is in line first. It takes about just under an hour to get from downtown. Our driver was determined to get us there, he didn't slow poke it in the right lane while driving and passed the slow driving fools in the right and left lanes. I appreciated that. Great views on the way up too! When we got to the drop off area, they will give you instructions on when the shuttle leaves to head back to downtown, give you specifics on when you should be heading down from the mountain to make sure you aren't late etc. If you bought your tickets online, you can get off the shuttle and go straight into the line to get onto the gondola. If you need tickets, you will need to get in a separate line with the rest of the general admission peeps getting tickets. The line to get onto the gondola was organized, the staff will arrange you into groups for each gondola, while going up, it's best to sit with your back to the mountain so you can see the view looking down. It's about a 12 min ride up on the gondola, the views are wonderful! While you are up there, there's a lot to walk around and explore, don't forget to pick up a map. You get off at the lodge, so if you want to check out some souvenirs, use the restroom, grab some lunch and all that stuff, this is where you do it. At first we hit up the suspension bridge, took our photo ops, get your selfies etc. Traffic goes both ways on the bridge, it was fun, it wasn't scary and didn't seem very high but still cool. We then hit up a few trails and scenic spots to take in all the sights, the more popular trails aren't strenuous nor steep etc, it's very family friendly. There's a handful of other trails that are a bit tougher or if you want more of a challenge. Hiking boots aren't really necessary on the popular trails, most people wore sneakers, but there was still snow on some trails so it depends on which month you come by and which trail you take. We shared a little lunch/snack at the lodge, it was fine, a bit pricey, mostly burgers, dogs, poutine, coffee, pastries etc. Plenty of seating inside and outside and staff was friendly so all was good. Shuttle left around 3pm to head back and we got into downtown around 4pm or so. One guy never showed up and we waited for him for a while....guess he spent the night on the mountain with the cougars, both kinds. Overall, it was a good experience and worth it, nice to get out of the city and enjoy some nice scenery and get some fresh air to have a nice day trip.

Yelp
Hiked up the sea to sky trail and took the gondola back down. The trail was incredibly steep and had chains and ropes in some sections so I was thankful for the downloading option. My dog LOVED the up. There appears to be a ton of amazing terrain to explore up there but sadly they only own dogs on the way down and after 3000 feet of up it is tough to find more in the tank to venture further. There are some food and drink options at the top but they want you to park your dog far away which I'm not about to do. 5 stars for the easy ride home. Demerits for not being more dog friendly.
