Pleasant waterfront destination, especially if you’re looking for a relaxed outing rather. The location is excellent with good views and a calm atmosphere that makes it suitable for families, couples, and even solo visitors.One big plus is that there are plenty of cafés, restaurants, and open spaces to relax after visiting. In the evening, the place feels lively and scenic.

Amazing dining place around Shekou! A lot of establishment with different cuisines to choose from. Prices are not that bad too, considering the area looks like a premium spot. Amazing views of buildings too with different kinds of architecture. Highly suggest if you want to have a nice dining experience in Shenzhen.

Nice for an evening stroll by the water. Georgian restaurant Madloba (Georgian for 'Thank you') has excellent grilled food and live music in a cozy atmosphere. Their cheese on bread with mushrooms is basically a pizza without tomato sauce.

Shekou Sea World isn’t just a sightseeing spot—it’s a lifestyle hub with a great mix of food, entertainment, and waterfront vibes. After a relaxing stroll around the iconic Minghua ship, we decided to have dinner at Grissini Kitchen, one of the many restaurants lining the vibrant plaza. The location was spot on—right by the ship, with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating options. We chose to sit indoors for comfort but still had a clear view of the Sea World promenade, which comes alive at night with lights, music, and people out enjoying the scene. Grissini Kitchen offers hearty Western comfort food, and we ordered pasta, pizza, and grilled items. Everything was satisfying—flavors were familiar and portions generous. The kids enjoyed the cheesy pizza while I loved the creamy truffle pasta. Service was friendly and unrushed, letting us soak in the atmosphere. What makes dining here special is the overall Sea World experience. It’s more than just the food—it’s the waterfront setting, the music echoing through the plaza, and the energy of locals and expats mingling in a relaxed, open space. Definitely a great way to spend the evening in Shekou.

A gigantic area that is full of eateries, offering a wide range of Chinese cuisines and foods from various countries (e.g. Turkish, Korean, Thai, Japanese, German, American, Mexican). The square also features numerous food stalls. There's always something happening, such as balloons vendors and musical performances, making it an interesting place to visit. It's connected to the waterfront, where you can watch a beautiful sunset and visit the cultural museum. We enjoyed the visit very much. The Turkish restaurant is fantastic.

Another theme tourist spot. Worth a few hours to tour inside the boat.

A part of South Shenzhen to walk around with plenty of restaurants, cafe's, shops and a cinema. It's along the water so it has a great view. There are a handful of international restaurants here with some people speaking English to help foreigners.
