Very delicious and fresh seafood in a very quaint and unique atmosphere. The downstairs was extremely busy so we climbed up a very narrow staircase to the top. The decor was very fitting. The food was absolutely delicious. Service was amazing and very quick.

We came here at 7 pm and the queue was super long. We tried to squeeze in for shelter since it was cold and windy, but the server insisted to make us wait outside (with impatience and no apology). We understand that the place was small and crowded, but a nice cup of warm water and a more sincere attitude would make us feel better. Food was overrated. Lobster soup was tomato based with a little bit of lobster flavour. Fish skewer was bland, with no seasoning or salt whatsoever, and small in portion. Was it worth the wait? Definitely not. If there is no queue then go for a try. But if they make you wait outside in the cold then just skip it. You are not missing out on anything special. Save yourself the time and money for something else better.

This place is a MUST to eat at, fish skewers and soup is the best you'll ever have. Beautiful authentic little place, on 2 floors. Bottom floor is like a diner, more eat n go style, where upstairs there's a little beautiful restaurant. We always look forward to visiting the Seabaron, and it's not an option not to eat here when we visit. We really love the place soo much. Beautifully situated by the little harbour. Lovely staff. Reasonably priced, best food ever.

Incredible food and service. Lobster soup and fish skewers are the best I've ever tasted. Reasonable prices for the quality. Friendly service. Gets busy at times when group tours come in but service is efficient and it's well worth the wait.

A very popular tourist spot. There was a long queue even before the restaurant open. We had the Fermented Shark which was okay. The lobster soup was a bit too salty for our liking. We also had the Blueling and Tusk fish. Both were quite good and very fresh. There was still a very long queue when we finished our meal

A recommended spot from visitors craving seafood, appearing in few Icelandic specials. Came for the Lobster Soup, which is a must try if you’re not allergic to shellfish. Also tried the salmon kebab and tasted very fresh. If available, do try the Wolffish kebab. Don’t forget to sign the guestbook on the second floor!

I approached this meal with high expectations, but unfortunately, it left me underwhelmed. The portion sizes are disappointingly small for the premium prices, which feels like a misstep. While the prawns were undeniably fresh, the lobster soup was a bit too salty. It’s clear this establishment once held a well-deserved reputation, but from what I experienced, it seems to be losing its edge. What was once a highly regarded dining spot now feels as though it's struggling to maintain the standards that earned it such acclaim. There’s certainly room for improvement here.

The ordering process is simple: place your order at the counter and wait in the dining area for your food. Water is served in jugs, so you only need to order soft drinks or beer if desired. Despite the structured service, the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to answer any questions. Highly recommended—a place to visit more than once!
