I popped here on my own (without any children!) to take an hour for myself after a very hectic and stressful week. It’s small and cosy but also gives off elegant vibes - it feels like it would be great for all sorts of occasions from parties to date night, to drinks and dinner with friends.
I went for a mocha and they were accommodating with my specific order (easy on the coffee and more on the chocolate) which was appreciated, plus I’d heard they do great coffees and they seem to take it seriously which is great.
I ordered the sourdough and seaweed butter which was hearty - too much for me to eat on my own! I was worried that I’d still be hungry as I ordered a small plate - the crab tagliatelle - but it was perfect.
Crab tagliatelle is one to order for sure. Buttery, generous amounts of crab, enough chilli to balance it out and the pasta was excellent.
It’s Saturday early afternoon and the weather is terrible. It’s not busy at all, which I just don’t understand as this is the first place I’d run to for lunch on a day like today!
