What a disappointment. Sister property to Chubby Fish, and billed as a place to get cocktails while waiting for a table to open next door. They specialize in cocktails at Seahorse. Hostess seated the 3 of us at a small corner table and gave us menus. The bar area was small and there is an adjoining room that has tables for small groups. The hostess was also the waitress and quickly got a second round of drinks for the table next to us. Then she seated a table of 2 on our other side. Gave them menus and water. She came back to get their drink order. She then sat another party of 2 next to them. Gave them menus. Came back and got them water. Brought the drinks out for the table next to us. Came and refilled water for the people on the other side of us whip just got their 2nd round of drinks. Took the drink order for another table. It was like we were invisible. We finally called her over and she gave us water but didnt take our drink order. Took drink orders for other tables all seated after us and brought them drinks. I Finally went directly to the bar to place our drink order and the bartender told me someone would take it for us at the table. No one did. Another server came by to clean up the table next to us I asked if she could take our order. She was surprised that we hadn’t placed our order yet and I shared we’d been waiting about 45 minutes. She left, came back and told us we weren’t waiting that long (although we had) and said someone would be by to take our order. FINALLY the same waitress/hostess that sat us and had been serving everyone around us came by to get our orders. No excuses or apology. Nothing. It was the craziest wait Ive ever experienced. I got the Minorca, made with Spanish gin, sherry, saffron, rose, and pomegranate. When I asked the server about it before ordering she described it as “bubbly and refreshing”. It was refreshing but there wasnt a bubble to be had…not even carbonation. Another in the group got the Granny Gun which had rye whisky, granny Smith apple, walnut, and verjus. The 3rd in our group got a gin martini with “extra olives” (it came with 2). By the time we got our drinks the place had totally emptied. Terrible experience. We wont be going back.
