I spent 1 night, in October. It's a lovely place, even out of season and with the wind blowing a hoolie. I stayed in Room 3, which is a first floor room accessed via a narrow luggage-unfriendly staircase. The room has a sloping ceiling. I was warned but had to test it out, much like putting my hand in a flame to see if it's hot. Oh, and sitting up in bed in Room 3 is not an option unless you're less than 5 feet in height or you enjoy looking at your navel with your chin pinned to your chest. The breakfast ordering routine's a bit odd, so pay attention. The evening before, you must tell the hotel what you'd like for breakfast. They provide a card on which to specify your order. Don't get the idea that you can rock up at 08:30 to satisfy your morning appetite without first telling them what you have an appetite for. Naturally, I forgot about this administrative requirement and did what I'm telling you not to. The restaurant staff were great and sorted me out, because they had the time and inclination to do so. On a busier day their response might have been less benign.

We stayed in the villa and it is clean with specious space. Three bedrooms and can accommodate 8 guests ( we are a group of 4 only.). The restaurant is of good atmosphere and food is good. A lot of wine choices and the bar at the entrance is excellent. The staff may need more training and understand better about the products and prices.

We will be back. A lovely place to stay. Wish we had longer there. Great meals. Having a drink in the outside area by the beach was very relaxing. A little out of the way if you are wanting entertainment.

Very Highly Recommended I recently took a road trip along the South Coast of NSW and, instead of staying at my usual accommodation, I decided to try the Seahorse Inn, located just 9 kilometres south of Eden, for a three-night stay — and what a great decision it turned out to be. I stayed in Room 2 on the ground floor, and the quality of the room was outstanding. It exuded elegance and attention to detail throughout. As it was winter, the property was quieter than it would be during the summer months, making for an even more relaxing experience. There was ample parking available, and I dined exclusively at the restaurant and bar on-site throughout my stay. The meals were exceptional, and the range of wines and beers on offer was more than impressive. A special mention must go to the staff — every single one of them was warm, welcoming, and attentive. In particular, Holly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect in every way. The team were simply outstanding, and the management should be very proud — they’ve certainly earned recognition. While the cost is slightly higher than a standard motel in the Eden area, it’s worth every cent for the level of quality, comfort, and service you receive. If I'm travelling the South Coast again, the Seahorse Inn is where I’ll be staying. Thank you for a truly enjoyable and relaxing experience.

“Breakfast of Regret – Served Cold, Burnt, and Lifeless 🍽️” If you’ve ever wondered what disappointment looks like on a plate, this hotel breakfast has you covered. The tomato was so burnt it could’ve starred in a barbecue safety ad, the toast looked exhausted, and the scrambled eggs tasted like they gave up halfway through being cooked. The SAUSAGES ? Let’s just say they had the texture of wet cardboard and the personality of a parking fine. The bacon was either raw or fossilized — apparently, the chef believes in offering variety through inconsistency. And that fruit bowl in the corner? It looked as if someone cut it up yesterday and then reconsidered serving it today. Honestly, I’d have had a better start to my day eating cereal straight from the box. If this is what the hotel calls “a hearty breakfast,” I’d hate to see what their lazy version looks like. ⭐ 1/5 — only because zero stars isn’t an option.

We stayed in the elevated villas and they are beautiful. Clean, modern and everything you could want in regard to comfort. The balcony has ocean views through the trees. Really pretty.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible hotel during a work trip, and it exceeded every expectation. The staff went above and beyond by arranging an earlier-than-usual breakfast to accommodate our early departure. To top it off, they nailed my notoriously complicated coffee order perfectly—it's clear they truly care about their guests' comfort and satisfaction. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel! I can't wait for the next opportunity to stay here.

The staff were so lovely and wanted to help with anything we needed. Beautiful peaceful location with a fantastic view of two fold bay and an excellent beach. We had dinner there and the food was abundant and wonderfully prepared. Great breakfast and good coffee in the morning. Thanks for making our stay so special.
