As a skater I love shopping here for clothes. I've also found some great stuff for my daughters. Recently found a sweater I wanted online but wasn't gonna have time to drive to Sullivan's. I placed the order online and it arrived in James Island the next day. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The location is great and parking has never been an issue. Glad this is a staple in Sullivan's.

Their Electric Bikes where amazing. We have rented e-bikes in several cities and these seem to be well maintained and very powerful. We rode for three hours and the battery level barely moved. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The best way to view Isle of Palms and Sullivans Island for an up close look at some beautiful beach homes and scope out the best places to revisit for a drink or the best beach access.

Had an amazing experience taking Kite Boarding Lessons at Sealand Adventures. Denver was amazing to work with booking the lessons, extremely responsive, and did an awesome job getting us out there on a day with great weather and wind. Norm was a top notch instructor, had a ton of fun, and has me really wanting to pick up the sport. I will definitely be taking more lessons with them and using them for all my beach related rentals and lessons! Extremely happy I booked with Sealand!

It was a neat shop with a good vibe and knowledgeable staff that helped explain my options when looking for a wind shade. We had a family emergency and had to leave at 2am, but still had the shade we had rented. The shop was kind and understanding, giving me a few days to mail it back to them at no extra charge. I can't emphasize enough how much their kindness during such a stressful time meant!

We were in town for the day and decided to rent bikes to tool around Sullivans. We rented from Sealand Adventure Sports and the nicest guy helped us grab our bikes and we had a lovely time! I would recommend renting anything from SAS is was a great experience!

I recently visited this fantastic shop that specializes in kite boards, skateboards, paddle boards, and more, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendliest staff who genuinely love what they do. Their enthusiasm for the products they sell is contagious, and they were more than happy to share their knowledge and help me find exactly what I needed. The selection of gear is impressive, with a variety of kiteboarding equipment and skateboards. Plus, the clothing they offer is stylish and perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors. What really stood out to me, though, was the positive vibe in the store; it felt like a community hub where everyone was welcome. They even have bike rentals, making it easy to explore the beautiful area around the shop. Overall, this place is a must-visit for anyone into outdoor sports or looking for quality gear. The combination of great products, excellent service, and an inviting atmosphere makes it a top-notch destination. 🚴✌🏼🏄‍♂️

I bought a foil from this store. The foil was not as advertised. I contacted the store and they were gentle and friendly to address the problem. We found a solution and the case was well managed. I can say I am a happy customer. I decided to buy here without previous experience with the business but based on my experience, I would recommend it.

The chairs and umbrella were in great condition and gave us a nice comfortable base for our two days on the beach. The store employee, Emilio, was such a pleasant young person.

Was so excited to rent and enjoy some beach! I made reservations online at 2:30 read over everything before checking out and was satisfied with what I was purchasing! I went to the store to pick up and decided I wanted to rent an umbrella on top of my 3 chair reservation! Easy! Sign the waiver start walking out the door the kid behind the counter says yeah return this all by 5. I told him my online reservation said 10:55 8hr duration. He said "okay we close at 5" we decided to quickly get to the beach and enjoy the literal 1:30 mins we had with our rentals. I decided to give the store a call to get an understanding why the online said 8 hrs if they closed at 5 and needed everything back by 5. He said oh idk but we close at 5. Seemed to the only sentence he knew. Rushed back to return bc he did state if they were not brought back by 5 then we would be charged. Im upset bc I would have never made a reservation for chairs at 230 and pick up the chairs at 3 if I knew I was on a time crunch( 70 dollars!!!!!! ) i definitely wouldn't have added a umbrella for 30 dollars. When I returned our items I told the worker he should have let us know prior us walking out the door that we had till 5. And that they should fix their website bc it wasn't correct and he said yeah well we close at 5. (Annoying) I told him I was t happy about it and I would leave a review and contact the manager and be said okay that's fine and he said "what do you expect me to do about it" Also the umbrella/tent was awful. It was broken and wouldn't click to hold in place . We didn't even use it. It was a waste of 100 dollars. Don't reserve on the website I guess and go in person ask question. I honestly wouldn't have been so upset about it if the worker gave acknowledgment of the website being wrong or even apologized for it. And should have told us about the time of Return before we decided to add on an umbrella and I prolly wouldn't have been pleased had we gotten our moneys worth with the chairs

We rented two beach chairs and an umbrella. This umbrella was a struggle, and so hard to put in the ground. It kept falling over even though we followed the instructions. It would be easier if there was a small shovel or a screw bottom to get the umbrella in the ground. We used a piece of drift wood to dig a hole to get the umbrella ground and leaned everything we had with us against the umbrella to keep it upright. Also, so overpriced for old, dirty equipment. We saw another group with the same rentals and they used a big log to hammer the umbrella base pole into the sand. This experience of assembling the umbrella made it hard to enjoy the beach. The staff was very nice and helpful which was the only good thing.

Rented some bikes for bar hopping around the islands :) Went ahead & paid online so when we got there - bikes were ready to go! Needed to drop them off at 5 - but my friend took a tumble hahaha I called & apologized about being 7 minutes late about. They were very understanding & accommodating. Will be renting again for another adventure!! ps I am also a CHS local all my life & never have walked in here before - glad I did!

Thank u Sealand Adventures for the electric bike rental yesterday. What a wonderful way to enjoy the island. We rode over to isle of palms and had an amazing lunch at Acme. We were able to park the bikes in front of us so we could keep a watch. I also appreciate you sending back my favorite hat I left behind in your store. I will definitely be back . The service was great and we appreciate the reasonably priced great bikes with excellent instruction.

Do not contact these folks by phone or online. My daughter wanted to go paddle boarding on our beach trip across the country to visit grandpa. I tried via the web site and repeated phone calls to reserve a paddle board. Now I will say the staff was always very friendly on the phone, but they told me each time they'd call me back and didn't. On the fourth attempt I finally made my reservation and paid up front to be sure, only to be told today they had no paddle boards available having rented them out to a family for 2 weeks. Stop in in person maybe, but don't use them if you're local.

So I spent a month in Sullivan's Island and wanted to do some kiteboarding out on the water with my kids, and this was the closest company renting kites and boards. I've kiteboarded for years and found these guys right here in Sullivan's Island. What a joke. The instructor I don't remember his name wasn't bad but the owner of the establishment was a total prick. Talk to my kids as if they were his own degrading them. I almost punched him in the f¥¢€ing mouth ! He's lucky my wife calmed me down. Crappy gear overpriced and overall horrible experience. I highly recommend not using this business or service for rentals or lessons. He also claimed to be ex-military which I would consider a brother of mine since I am retired from the Marine Corps but anybody that treats people the way he does and talks to the kids the way he does and conducts business how he does is no brother of mine. If he didn't get a dishonorable discharge he deserves one. I will be contacting the BBC and reporting him tomorrow. A word of advice, DO NOT USE, TRUST, OR DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY !!!!

Norm the kiteboarding instructor is amazing. Besides that this place is HORRIBLE. Over priced, and unknowledgeable. Don't waste your money here and don't try to schedule anything with them because you might get screwed.

If i could leave zero stars, i would. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with any sort of rental company. Sunday, September 5th, my girlfriend and my friend went to go rent paddleboards. There was one employee in the store, and he made us wait outside for about 30 minutes before helping us with our boards, while we already purchased tickets online. Then when he finally got to us, he said his coworker was running late, so he could not transport the paddleboards to the beach for us (which is a part of the rental service). He then throws the boards on the dirt out front, and says "the boards are not too heavy" and "its a two block walk to the beach." As a 5'5, 107 lbs female, as my girlfriend is 5'7 and 113lbs, and my other friend is 5'2, we struggled carrying the boards the "two blocks" to the beach. It was not at all 2 blocks, but in fact 3, and then the stretch of a walk to the beach's shore. From carrying these boards, we were left with bruises on our arms, and hips, and by the time we had reached the shore after dragging the boards all the way there, we had no desire to even go paddleboarding anymore. It was horrific and an absolute joke, and i still paid full price for their rentals.

Picked up a couple surf boards for the day. Easy in and easy out. Our oldest daughter has a new passion.....

All clothes and gear are over 2 years old. Owner runs a haphazard operation. Don't support someone that screws other businesses.

Sealand was the answer to my prayers. We had an impromptu trip to the beach at Sullivan's Island. All we had was a towel. I was so thankful to stumble into Sealand Adventure Sports were I was able to rent a beach chair for $10 for the whole day. They also offer umbrellas if you want shade. Sealand was so close to the beach you can just rent and go. The staff was super nice. I am so thankful for small businesses like this.

Personable service, more than willing to go above and beyond. We rented stand up paddle boards this past Sunday from these guys and had a great experience. Super friendly as soon as we walked in the door, great vibe. We rented our boards and we were on our way in 10 minutes. They put the boards on this dolly, so it was so easy to walk them the 2 blocks down to the beach. Highly recommend Sealand!

Great place to just pick up the board and go. The shop was only two blocks from the beach. This made it super easy just to walk the boards over. The service was great. Would have been a 5 star stop, if they offered half day rentals, and offered a little more instruction for first time users.
