Lovely place with beautiful atmosphere. We had dinner before going to a show. The proximity of the restaurant to the theatre is a big plus. The food is a bit of hit and miss. I loved the money bags for starters and the roti bread was lovely. We had the barramundi (which my husband liked more than me). It was very different from the usual barramundi as it was black in colour. We also had the vegetable curry which was very tasty but some of the vegetables weren’t cooked through ie the potato which was raw. All together not an unpleasant experience. Maybe not the right food for us.

Went to Seamstress for dinner and started with the pork/chicken moneybag and the betel leaf appetiser. The moneybag was flavourful, with a kick of chili oil that really enhanced the dish. The betel leaf, served with roasted nuts, coconut & pickled mango, was a bit dry, and I couldn’t taste much of the pickled mango. For the main, we had the braised beef short rib, which was tender and juicy (though a bit too fatty for my taste), and paired wonderfully with hoisin sauce. The side of roti, however, was a little chewy and lacked the expected flakiness. Service was quick and attentive throughout.

Incredible experience. Cosy place with a great atmosphere created by a nod to its past. Delicious food and the service was incredible. David made our night even more special with his attention to detail and fun loving personality. Helped pick some great drinks and meals for us. The mapo tofu with mushrooms was the pick of the bunch with the Brussels sprouts right up there as an accompaniment. Highly recommend this place!

The vibe at Seamstress is absolutely fantastic, the bar staff chatty and lovely, plus the sharing platter was delicious. Their cocktails really hit the spot and we'll be back as soon as our hangovers subside ❤️❤️🔥🥳

cute atmosphere after you make it up the 2 flights of stairs to the cocktail bar. had the Sunshine State of Mind and Beyond the Sea cocktails, both were delicious. would recommend either. we didn’t eat, but there’s a restaurant downstairs that you can order from too.

Foods were a bit heavy, either too sweet or too salty. The soft shell crabs were not very fresh, as well as the salad next to the pork belly. I might be a bit strict here to Asian fusion foods as an Asian, but it’s how I felt after coming here for twice.

Great food and excellent service. We had a short sitting due to going to a show nearby. We called ahead to order and food came perfectly on time soon after we arrived. The coconut prawns and beef short rib were a hit. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food. Good sauces and kind attentive staff. Would definitely go again. Just around the corner of Her Majesty's Theatre, so a good spot to eat if you're headed there.

We went here for lunch and had a lovely time. The food was delicious and the service terrific. No food photos this time because it was a business catch up! A really nice place and I’d return anytime
